Hmmm, Try removing the old ones (put them in a separate folder and move them out of the saves folder) then installing my persistent; as opposed to overwriting the persistent. Make sure the game isn't already running when you do this. Same goes for saves.

did u have a modded save file cause you should have moved into next cut scene to advanced the story after tap part.
