That's how I initially took it too. It fits with her sister's storyline as well since Jill always refers to her as the "black sheep of the family" and it's clear that Lana was rebellious, going against the family's general principles. Jill seems to look up to her a lot, so I always thought that'd be the way the Jill path goes down, but it's been quite the opposite at least thus far. She has had her moments of breaking through that shell but she's always backtracked after that which I personally am getting really bored of.

if I had to guess it's from the earlier chapters where she does act a bit motherly towards the MC not entirely but just somewhat but once their relationship starts I always felt the motherly feel kind stops entirely and is replaced with awkwardness.
