At the moment, the EP8 is approaching 4000 renders and almost 300 animations

If DPC released an update every 15 days with 200 renders and 10 animations and you calculate that in 6 months it would be 2400 renders and 60 animations

I prefer he publish the entire chapter because I don't want to play it in chunks...

Or as others would do. What if you like Sage? Well her next update will come out in 2022, Do you like Jill? wait until 2023

Why did you suddenly had the need to come into this thread to start this "milking" shit and comparing other games to it? you obviously want to create some stupid drama or whatever, and then you act all surprised when fans of the game (because you are in a fan thread after all) start calling you out.

I mean the story definitely has its high points in certain areas but yeah, I dont think DPC thought the Jill plot through as much as he should have. Adding to that, I feel as if Jill's plot has only devalued her as a character rather than build her up unlike everyone else.

Jill is popular because she has the best model, but her story is awful. It has to integrated into the wider story with the rest of the cast instead of just Bella. I get that she could be shy due to past experiences but the idea that she's a junior in college who has no friends but the librarian is moronic.

Her reasoning for being a virgin is dumb and something literally everyone that has ever had sex struggled with before their first time, the entire blackmail storyline is dumb, the complete and utter destruction of her self-confidence is dumb, her abysmal ability to identify social red flags (Tybalt) is borderline retarded... Just a few but not all the reasons why I dislike Jill as of episode 7.

It would be much better if Jill had bad sexual experiences in the past, not rape or anything just shitty boyfriends, that make her weary of getting into another relationship. Instead they went with the idea that she is a socially stunted virgin who doesn't know how to flirt (but actually knows how to expertly tease you with the way she dresses because this is still a porn game). The blackmail storyline is dumb, there is no defining it. I could buy that Jill is forced to deal with Tybalt due to social obligations foisted onto her by her parents, but date him or he'll tattle on this guy she has a crush on is dumb. Speaking of Tybalt, he is a idiotic character who is even more socially stunted than Jill. It's not even fun to get one over on him because he's so pathetic. He's not a good foil for the MC, he's just a punching bag. It would make more sense for Jill, who we're supposed to believe is from a rich and affluent family, presumably old money, would know how to socially interact with people and pick up on social cues like Tybalt being a doofy creep. The fact that Jill lives in the frat with them is dumb too, but that was done for whatever reason.

Being rich and attractive is seemingly all Jill has going for her at this point. I really hope DPC concludes the blackmail plotline in episode 8 and begins to consider how he can build her back up in season 3. She's a weaker LI than Maya from my POV.

Pretty much. Even Maya has a less than stellar storyline because DPC either doesn't know you don't need a cosigner for most student loans or chose to ignore that for dramatic reasons. Maya seems smart, she'd probably get some scholarship money for college anyway. But Maya being a virgin at 18 is much more believable than Jill. Maya sorta likes girls maybe for one so no dudes.

Comparing STS with BADIK is nonsense.
Summertime Saga is fully handdrawn, characters, backgrounds, buildings, everything, where BADIK is only cgi.
Sure DarkCookie dawdles a lot but so does DocPink.
DC is streaming daily & answers questions live, STS have a progress tracker for free users and a very detailed tracker for patrons he also have to take care of his 3 little kids.
Would made sense if you compared a 3D h dev with DocPink, the only western adult dev that is fast is NLT, absolutely nobody (before him) released updates bi weekly, he completed TON's story in under 2 years and it's full with quests, high quality, h scenes, story and so on & so forth plus he is already working on his next game The Genesis Order which will look even better & will be voiced on top of that.
Being A Dik looks awesome doesn't change the fact that DrPink is milKING. 6 or 7 months between updates is way to much and you're wrong STS updates have 3-4 months between new releases not 6.
Heck even PhillyGames is faster than DrMilkCake and COBD looks better.

I’m not going to debate STS I haven’t played as I think the art is a bit shite, but I’m quite picky when it comes to the art work in 2D or 3D.

NLT made a good game, but once the foundations were in place it then was ‘only’ a question of telling the story and doing the (excellent) animation plus visual novel elements. My playtime on Nadia with the story 100% is 35 hours. This includes plenty of what the fuck do I do now time. The game took around 2 years to finish after the first release.

BADIK first release was 8/02/19 meaning by the time the 8th chapter comes out it will have been about 2 years and 9 months. When chapter 8 comes out the game will be 30+ hours for a single play through. However there is enough unique content to justify at least 2 playthroughs if not more. Representing 40+ hours of content to see. Possibly more.

BADIK is MUCH more narratively complex than ToN. Nadia’s plot is fun but linear. IMO there is no replay-ability. BADIK with CHICK, DIK & NEUTRAL paths, plus unique scenes based on choices that you might take on any given route, that there are potentially hundreds if not thousands of scene combinations that the player might see depending on how they play.

BADIK has many more complex mechanics than Nadia, for better or worse. Nadia is essentially RPG maker fetch quest, plus basic puzzle solving, fishing and what amounts to a gallery mode. BADIK has DIK/ CHICK status and points as well as character reputations all impacting the story, dialogue choices, free roam events, class tests, Rooster, the dating app, choices within sex scenes, fighting, phone puzzles, house repair, and tennis.

I don’t want to shit on NLT because I enjoyed Nadia, but there is simply more to BADIk. Not to mention I believe NLT are a team and DPC works on his own.

The animation playtime of this episode alone is now over 18 minutes

I don't know, maybe because just the animation time in the upcoming update is about the size of usual NLT update that includes 15 minutes of running around the map

But DPC is not without faults, he already said he's a perfectionist, he prefers to work alone, so I won't even mention a coder, but he does have the help of testers at the end of the development of each chapter, so if he hired a tester and approached the development with a more agile methodology (a tester could test features and scenes as soon as they were implemented) he could speed up the dev time quite a bit.

Agreed. I've always tried to keep in mind that Jill was the very last LI to be introduced and it was seemingly done at the last minute which is why her plotline is garbage and her involvement in the story is small. I hope DPC actually reads feedback as I feel this is one of the obnoxiously bad plots detracting from an otherwise decent narrative.

For me this is the big reason why I think Jill has a drool cup. To be blackmailed to this degree and still need convincing that Tybalt is an awful guy, she has to have some sort of mental deficiency. There is no other explanation I can think of for someone to be so incompetent socially. I just can't see where DPC is going with her nor what he was thinking when he wrote these story beats.

He doesn't have to "milk" this game to make money, and if people start losing interest in this game because he is milking it, he'll only lose money in the long run.

Compare that to Dark Cookie and his Summertime Saga. That was a great little game, but it's totally being milked now, the updates are pathetic and the game should just be ended, but he's making 75K a month, so he's opted to milk it instead.

dude the amount of the features this game has, if he takes to long it's self justifying when you play the game. The mobile apps (Twitter, Tinder and the mobile combat game) the long story that involves other characters. you're just in a rush, i suggest you play other games, don't commit to a single one

If anything, DPC should actually hire a real writer. The story is good, but some of the story lines are laughable... like the blackmail.

Actually, it might be kinda funny, but I think DPC can be a good writer when he wants to be, it's just that he also needs to check those sweet boxes of perversion and lewd scenes that are part of the curse for these kinds of games. Ironically, I think that, when DPC brings his A-game, his sex scenes (or at least their writing) become kinda... off-putting.

I'm gonna get punched to death for saying this, but here it goes: graphically, DPC's sex scenes are top notch (most of the time, anyway; there are exceptions), the writing during those scenes are... less so, IMO.

I agree. DPC smut-writing skill during sex scenes has been lacking in my opinion which is funny because I think He is a great writer in term of dialogues in normal scenes

Damn, I actually hope those rumours are not true. I mean, I'm sort of a (pretty crappy) amateur writer myself, and I get how crushing hearing criticism is (specially after working your ass off all night on a story), but you must also keep in mind that chances are... you are not the best writer there ever was. You must try to be objective when it comes to the way other people look at your work (although good luck with that, trust me; if you think that sounds really hard... let me tell you it's way harder than that).
