So Jill cant play before an audience. Everyone treats her like, no, it is not your fault, you are the best, etc. No one tells her to play the piano damn it or something like that. We even feel sorry for her!

And the game tells me at the end that I was at fault because I couldn't encourage her or whatever.................. The Whole Jill route was a fucking letdown for me.

for real though...

if you had a girlfriend and you are able to play an instrument, you wouldnt help your girlfriend to overcome her stagefright and later on blame her if she is disappointed in you that you didnt support her? think about it... if so, sorry you would be a awful boyfriend.

Jills recital is big time important for her, and a crucial part in the relationship between her and the MC in the first place, in one of the first meetings with her the MC is copying the sheets to practice the song for her and later on even give her advice for the recital and so on... the whole recital thing is THE main-thing going on for her the entire game... so if you want to be with Jill, of course you would practice the song and than help her out or not? but you didnt... and yep, thats your fault than. You could have done better.

Youre not the first guy around here that spits on jill for being disappointed if you let her down at the recital... dont know why, its a natural reaction of her.

So you were obviously on a Jill route, but not really in it, cause if you didnt get the option to help her, you screwed up at several points with her beforehand. Either didnt practice her song, or just fucked around a lot or something like that... to blame Jill for that is kinda strange, really. *shrugs*

but thats a porblem with the game overall, the characters doesnt really tlak that much with each other about basic important things. Heck... they dont even talk about lastnames

Nope. Timeline doesn't work out right for her either, we've had too much evidence otherwise. Heather and Sally are outlier options, the most likely is Ashley or Wendy.

No, it isn't the LIs. And i doubt it would be Zoey. It maybe (and probably) has nothing to do with MC at all.

I can guess Ashley is pregnant of Derek, that would be a big blow for Derek's character or most probably be DIK related with Tommy being the winner and for funz it can be fucking Arieth like lolz and it could be the thing that can bring Mona back, so maybe it can be her. So for me it would be Ashley or something Tommy related, but there are other options.

why zoey? would be a strange pregnancy carrying a baby this small for more than 6 month dont you think? At this point of the game she already has given birth if its from the MC... If she is pregnant, than not from the MC, and than i would ask... why show up? "Hey Tremolo, iam pregnant from another guy, wanna help me out?" erm.... no?

I just think, Zoey screwed up in san diego and is now back, and jhust still has feelings for the MC... nothing really to it, that would completely normal. No need to add up pregnancy for her.

For me Zoey is back because of porn game and drama. It's a porn game, so fucking most girls is a given, but it can also serve to shake MCs emotions and maybe be connected to some LIs as well.

This game already has enough drama going on, and there are more than enough options to shake up emotions from the MC... Zoey is just another person adds up to the game and blocking progress for way more important things.

I dont like that one bit i have to admit... 8 big episodes, but only few questions and storyline are solved so far... instead every episode did poile up more and more, and now Zoey too... its worrysome, cause how the heck should be all that solved in a decent amount of episodes? *shrugs* dont know... at this point iam rather sceptic that this game will ever end in a good way

But what more is there to do as to wait ^^

Ok, i just finished every route. I also was reading some of the comments, trying to follow this mess. I had the feeling there was a lot of negative comments and deception from this episode. It's funny how even if DPC seemes to put everything in this update it still face with so much negativity. We not only got the biggest episode so far but for sure it tried to satisfied everyone, with Bella and Jill scenes, and the good bunch of secondary girls.

Yet I understand them. I had the same feeling, it wasnt as exciting as ep 7, and not even close as the first time I played ep 1 to 6. With his good momments didnt had the punk punch it had the first episodes or the sweetness of the latest ones.

Now, the issue is: a lot of it always comes more from the player than the writer. We waited 7 months to get 1/16 of a story. That's not the natural way to tell a story. A story is meant to be told in front of a fire in half four, to be watched on a tv screen in 2 hours or to be read in a book in a couple days. Thats why shows always have the same problems when it comes to narrative and audience starts to get tired at some point of the little problems that normally overloocked. Just like relationships. So, remember guys that you are not the same guy playing the game than when you did it for the first time.

It also doesnt help that we keep theorising and arguing over the game. Just think about it, pretty much everything in this update was guessed by someone the last months. Nothing was a surprise for me couse every posibility was already considered, not by me but by someone. It's even worst when in the heat of the argument you get stubborn about your ideas and they are proven wrong by the story.

None of this issues are hardly to blame on the story itself. Althought not blame, its on us. That's why art is subjective, couse it's the traits of the subject who defined the way a story will be enjoyed or not. You cannot force people to like a story. Schools try every year and they failed, spectacularly.

Saying this, in my opinion this episode did have a lot of flaws. Worst, some of them are a trend, wich comes all across the first of season 1, at least. So let me point them out.

1) The prose was not there. If something BADIK always had good dialogues. Every conversation in the first season had some lines wich makes it interesting to read. A joke, a good pun, even a well achieved sweet or deep moment. And yes comedy was there, true, but we also got a lot of... "Talking about feelings". A conversation mostly boring for male population, even more when they re not even your feelings. We got this instead of thoose small signs, subtle hints, who feels great presisly couse they are small. Bella smiling for first, Quinn resting his shoulder on MC, Jill finger trying to reach MC dick.

And even if its not feelings talk, still most of the dialogue were simple not as interesting. A lot couse of:

2) The MC is becoming more of a Mary Sue. Now this is always a problem with porn. Porn its a narcisistic activity, its self congratulatory. On top of that, mary sues are a frecuent problem in modern fiction. Yet Badik was different mostly couse it avoided it the first episodes. The joks hated the MC, the preps too, the nerds overlooked him as an idiot, even the DIK's didn't care too much since he was a maggot. Quinn and Sage were just sex no love, Bella thought he was a stupid kid, even Josy and Maya, the cutest ones let it clear that even if they like him he was just one wheel in the tricycle. On top of that he was broken and insecure.
Yet since ep 5 everything started to change. The DIKs become less of a cool gang you want to be with, and more of the group of "beta" male MC club fans. Quinn is less of: "let me show you the dark force, kid, see?, this is weed" and is more of a: "Wow, this is a relationship daddy, show me how it works?". The guy plays the Pachelbell song on a classic music concert and becomes a "Rock Star".
As a result we have line after line of: "Wow MC you are so cool/great at doing X/ big/ handsome/ strong/ intelligent". Sometimes is just ridicoulus and you laugh, sometimes is lame and you feel embarrased, but mostly is boring.

3) The punk punch is as gone as our hopes for a M/J birthday threesome. First Bella scene she hate us, give us a chance and we arrive drunk untill she felt sorry for us. Last Bella scene we had a romantic dinner on her house. First Maya scene we were sleeping, she suddenly start to teasing us untill we get electrocuted. Last one we went to a water park. First really sexual scene we break into an unknown house full of girls. Two unknown girls threat us untill we get naked, then throw us naked into the streets. Last one was a sleepover on our place (best dorm in campus).
Instead we get some emotional strong moments, some quite touching. And that's cool, but we want the punk punch, that's why we are here.

4) Lack of drama (yeah, lack of it) Everything work so fine, everything is so cool. If season 1 was a struggle to remain in college (literary survival), season 2 concerns are girls troubles, wich one of this hotties should MC choose from. It's like one of thoose shows where a guy has to choose beetween girls. Even worst i am picking all in different saves so...
MC status has not been really challenged since he join the DIKs.

5) Porn is eating the story. Now a lot of this I already talk about it. The MC becoming a Mary Sue, the lack of drama... But there is more. EP 8 had the smallest ammount of renders compared to animations and you can notice it. The renders cannot follow the growth on animations. So episodes take longer yet the story goes slower, mostly couse its interrupted at every 5 mins with a long (longer for some people) scene of a random girl being fucked. As long as we enjoyed the porn, the story still pays for it.

Well said. This is really a porn game, and there should be sex scenes in it, even if they are not plot-based. But I think it was done because DPC wanted to show what he had achieved as an artist. Another explanation is that the DPC does not know how to continue the plot. For me, season 2 ended almost with a happy ending. The girls are happy with MC and he starts a new chapter.

I think anyone that play game seriously understate gravity of claim that there is lot of sex. serious player basically make a choice and LI dependent path for their game. So in clear pov mc don't get lot of sex until he is lose cannon and game is being played by non-committed gamer.
After choosing a LI there isn't much of so called porn. Like chose bella how many scene you have or jill, josy or sage.

CHOSE A LI AS PATH THEN SEE THERE IS NOT SO MUCH OF A PORN BUT STORY.
ARE PEOPLE EVEN PLAYING THE GAME ? THE LEVEL OF NON EXISTENT INTELLIGENCE SURPRISE ME EVERY TIME.

i really want to keep playing cause im loving the game and want to know how the story is going to progress but im having trouble with downloading using the regular links so i was wondering is there a difference between compressed and the regular download and does any one know why i virus software keeps telling me there something bad in the download from uploadhaven is it something small or stupid i can just ignore ?

It was already stated that Jade can't get pregnant. And again, it won't be the MC since you can avoid all chances of pregnancy if you want and i bet you would get the same ending.

For me it goes: Ashley > Tommy shenanigans > Someone else > Mona > Abyss > Arieth

while it is weird , well she is adopted and she rarely relies on her adopted parents, and kinda makes sense that the 3 fraternities were all made by people connected with the college directors. Sadly this is bad news for Maya if MC is in Jill and maybe Bella path as well. But if you are in DIK path choosing no girl or in Sage path or both, i think this might be good news for MC since 2 people from that family like him. If you are in Maya and Josy path guess its neutral who Saige adopted parents are.

Just a note, I don't think the current presidents of the houses (other than the DIKs) actually created their frat/sorority. The DIKs are the only new house, the rest would have been around for many years, possibly decades.

On chick playthroughs I usually fool around with her in the cumpetition and fuck her on the top of the rooftop just to earn the points for hell week, but man, you're telling me the game allows you to fuck her twice, but then unless you're a complete asshole you can't help her when she got fucking punched in the face? (And then all the interactions with her are are pretty much locked out from that point on) That's one of the few design choices I really dislike in the game, and that's probably why I never got really attached to her character.

The possibilities of a chick MC with Quinn are quite interesting, a yin yang dynamic, he could become her voice of reason, but then again, this is also why I don't believe there will be a happy ending for her, DPC has portrayed her as a self destructive character since EP1 and the fact that you can't be a chick and date her just exacerbates that.

Quinn is definitely not unattractive by any means imo not physically at least and when she's actually nice to the mc she's great tho with the way she treats some of the other girls both side and main makes me not really want to pursue her in any way neither casual or romantically now if we got to know her more personally and find out more about her past maybe but as it is now being gorgeous just isn't enough

In real life, no fucking way, but in a game, I just can't help myself.

I don't know anything about coding, but indeed, the fact of making us choose a girl, I think that will add work rather than take away.

In episode 8 we have exclusive scenes with the LI if we are with them (except Sage, where there are just additions to the scenes of the main story).

It is expected that in future episodes, every LI will have this kind of scene every time.

In this episode 8, apart from spending time with the LIs and choosing one (which is a big step forward), the rest of the stories progress little or nothing.

In summary we have two completed story arcs (the DIK house repaired, Jill / Tybalt), and the MC who chooses an LI. The rest of the stories continued or were not covered in the episode, plus we add the pregnant girl, the ex-girlfriend who returns, the cheating on the exams, and other stuff that I forget.

It doesn't end in two episodes. Except to botch all the stories.

On the other hand, DPC will have to close doors, because otherwise it will become too complicated.

I can tell you now, from a coding perspective, giving the mc only one love interest now is the easiest way to go.

The logic to present the menu with the 4 choices (M&J, Sage, Jill or Bella) as well as the optional "Others" was the most convoluted bit of logic in the game so far (with all the possible permutations and shit).

From now on it will be, "If branchJill" or "If branchSage" etc. Really straight forward.

Your line about memories captured perfectly the main reason this, or even mainstream college dramas, is so popular. Beside its very high production value that is.

For many of us it's a reminder of a (exaggerated for drama) version of a carefree, crazy period of life that can't come back. Not only because of adulthood but because this seems too similar to 90s/early 00s version of college life, that's a bit harder to experience today. I'm not even from US to relate to frat drama but many of the crazy situations in this game feel familiar. And it's the same thing that turns me off from BADIK clones, where a dev is trying to capture the college party vibe and I get the feeling they probably haven't touched alcohol in their lives from what I'm reading.

So yes, maybe it has repeating situations of silly college drama, oversexed characters and small issues that seem important. But that was college life in a nutshell, everything seemed way more important than it really was in that time bubble.

You're definitely right about the clones missing the essence of the ultimate college life experience.
