I mute all sounds in every VN I play and I still enjoy them just fine. You may want to look into some bone-conducting earphones.
Just curious, have you played BaDIK with the sound on at all, like ever?

If not, I recommend you plug in a headset (or whack on your speakers, there aren't any orgasmic sounds to my recollection, so you won't be raising any eyebrows in nearby rooms :p), and replay the game.

The game is great, but the music elevates it to another level. I'd dare say I might not have ever got hooked on this game if it wasn't for the full experience.

I agree. I use to play AVNs without the sound, but some games have beautiful music that really amplifies the experience.

Playing games without sound is like eating food without salt... Whether it's good or bad it adds to the things that are deciding factors to evaluate something... BaDIKs sound ( ? ) and musics are somewhat around 90% on the spot so there is no need to mute the game for any reason ( plus as was mentioned before you just cripple yourself for getting the full experience :p )

If a games sound and music is bad than there is no need for that game at all  That alone makes you wonder what point there is ( or in worst case was ) purchasing it... of course pilfering the stuff is also an option but that was not the point :KEK:

Was my verbose commentary not explanation enough for why I don't like music in my games?

And no, I never have listened to it. Your recommendation is noted, but I shall decline, thank you.

Re: Does this play in the same Universe as AL

I get that the games won't have any real connection,
however the band ShitFaced exists in both games, it would be a very weird choice to name two different bands in two different worlds from the same author the same.

Parallel universe, dude. They have no direct connection, from the author's mouth himself.
edit: and then I forgot to include his words. Apologies!

Acting Lessons and Being A DIK are two separate games without any connection.
Being A DIK was originally intended to be a prequel to Acting Lessons, but the idea was scrapped since it would force me to write the story in a certain way.
You can still see common names in Being A DIK, that were mentioned in Acting Lessons, i.e. DIKs, HOTs. But that's it. This story is fresh and something completely different from Acting Lessons.

Playing games without sound is like eating food without salt...
Salt is harmful, it retains water. I try to eat without salt, using mostly soy sauce.

But in general I certainly agree with the guys here. The music in the game forms the atmosphere and mood, if you turn it off, then it's literally a different game. It's like playing The Witcher 3 without great music. But everyone has their own opinion and tastes. We can't impose on anyone.

As with Jill, she dislikes bullying, but she lets herself get bullied by Tyballs. (yes his TinY balls should be in a Tie :p, hence TyBalls)
Quinn, well she only gets attention by flaunting her boobies, becouse they are sooooo small she has to show em to get a small adventage over big boobies :D.
Maya's dad, well he is just the type of him jerking off to his daughters photo's, he doesnt want her to be with josy, he doesnt want her around dudes (Or me), he just wants to keep her all to himself.
Maya's father definitely seems to have double standards. Not only does he treat Derek and Maya differently, but we also know that Derek reads Patrick's secret magazines. Ergo, the porn magazines are Patrick's.(y)

I wonder if Patrick saw a woman in his porn magazines that caused Patrick to tell Maya not to bother with Josy?

This is not to say that Josy is pictured in such a porno magazine, but what if it was Josy's mother?

I guess you wanted to take this into another direction where it was aimed since you mention soy sauce but use it essentially for the same reason why I used the term salt  It was not about eating " healthy " and believe it or not there is not a single food type on this mudball which cannot be categorised as " bad for your health " from some sort of aspect... but that's what your digestive system is for right ?!:ROFLMAO:

If I'm not mistaken, the best friend of the MC in Acting Lessons was also a member of the DIK fraternity in college. So there seems to be at least some overlap. But it could also just be easter eggs and the game playing out in two similar, but still alternate universes.
