Yup Nemo56 is right. Control on Hostile path is blocked early, if use a save its left unfinished.
On Fake Friend and True friends path the next update should continue it

For the open war path this is right. The friendship path might offer more in the future. But I don't think it will ever be enough for the Go Eric! faction. The focus of the game is another.

Make sure to explore all variations of the outcome.

nvm, I overlooked something.
Interrupting Lisa and Eric should be the trigger, but I don't know if other conditions need to be met as well. When this event was released, I completed done everything else already.

Yup instead of washing the dishes go to your room an interupt Eric's "lessons" about a week later the event should start
Get Alice to sleep naked by talking to her when she's smoking
Then monitor your cams on nights when Eric overnights
