It's way too hard to get rid of him though, without cheats or a walkthrough. Part of this is that I think the game was supposed to be all about the MC making friends with Eric. But players kept trying to get rid of him, which had purposely been made insanely hard. The incest players also didn't want to share the family. That's not what the incest kink is about to pretty much everyone I know.

Well, it all depends on when a final version will be out. If we are nearing it (lets say we have 3 versions before completion, 0.8,0.9,1.0), yeah we probably won't ever see any alternatives.
Looking at this graph seems like it become slow with 0.5. Still his patrons growth rate is consistent regardless of an update. With every update he gain more patrons. The same with 0.3 and 0.4 which were Eric's. He only lost some Patrons during 0.6 but it's still so insignificant number it's nothing mayor. He didn't gain much with 0.7 to change the fact that BB probably just reached it's ceiling. It's hard to assume that any erotic game will gain audience forever. But that's some fine data at least. Except for his earnings as they seem waaay lower than in reality.
He really rewards his $40 patrons with voting control. His average was $20 per patron before turning off the reporting. The reason you see a drop at .5 is that is when Patreon recycles. He went from 2300 patrons to 1900 with the cycle. If you could look at the $ level, I bet that took a hit as well. He made a CONCERTED effort to make it clear that Eric would be gone in .5. And has had a healthy patron boost from .7.

I do hope the game goes on for a while. At the same time, I hope we get to have sex with Ann and vaginal sex with Lisa soon. Those events don't have to be the end of the game, but they should be major accomplishments and hopefully they are treated as such. But there is a lot that could still come after those events in terms of story and fun. Or DS could go back and flesh out other paths, add new ones, and in general just tweak the game. And I am looking forward to any future incest games he may put out. BB is a hell of an effort for a first game, and definitely one of my favorites. I'm intrigued to see what he could do a second time around with more experience under his belt."let's say".

Hmm... This period of time between 0.4 and 0.7 seems way too big and growth rate of 0.7 is really small when compared to first versions. With every cycle he lost and than gained new patrons and it seems to be true with 0.4 as well but you are right that at this point it become slower. Still, I'm pretty sure that it's not updates fault but just audience limit. Every game hit it at some point. I may be wrong ofc but if the game won't reach 4k patrons in 1-2 years with consistent grow as a vanilla, harem incest it would mean Eric's update didn't matter at all.

DarkCookie has 5,600 patrons with a harem incest game, at version .12 or .13... DS is better about delivering good content, on time, and really has better coding skill than the tool that DC is using. DS will be at 5,600 by .13 easy, if he tones down the grind a bit. Or adds the cheat mod.
Tho I highly pref BB over SS, in my opinion unique artstyle, design consistency and streightforwardness of SS makes it much easier to sell. And it's not considered to be only incest as there are tons of other characters and no incest in title. In my opinion he won't reach it. This whole dispute about different fetishes and all just proofs that BB's design is just clunky. Maybe you're right but we will see it after 2 years if BB will still be in development after that period of time. At this point I don't see it.
