Well, with all the arguing and hostility, it seems like a really bad idea, but... I'm going to give my opinions on Eric.
For the record, I'm not pro or anti Eric. It is a character in a game and not a real person, nothing more or less.
I tend to save as often as possible (even rolling games back to save before a decision that could change a story arc) but, I always start at the beginning when a new version / update comes out. I also tend to use mods after the first play-through so I can hurry and get to new content instead o having to grind each time new content is released.
All that being said... When it comes to Eric, some really interesting debates between both sides.
I agree, Eric is programmed to be one of the most annoyingly self-centered characters I could imagine. But, I've known guys like him (in real life) so, I guess he's not that evil. As for the debate about whether or not he has a genuine place in this game, I feel he does. Maybe, DarkSilver was "a little heavy handed" in his treatment between Eric and Max, though. I agree with whoever mentioned having a dual-influence mechanic for each character. That would have been a great system but to implement it now would really be detrimental to the monthly updates the game has been receiving. Instead of new content to further later game story arcs, it would kill what momentum has going or it.
Another member (on here) mentioned a continuation of the "Eric is my bitch" storyline where once Eric is being blackmailed by Max, he could speed up the process for Max's involvement with the other characters. This isn't a bad idea either.
Before anyone goes nuts on me and says I'm into being cucked or NTR, I can assure you, I'd rather be the bull and not the cuck. I don't want to see Eric in any sexual situations, period. But, I have no problem seeing him squirm in fear at the thought of any of his possible endings (Kate's Mom or the Mob) while Max gets assistance in the process.
Fortunately, that storyline could be worked on at DarkSilver's leisure and released at his(?) discretion, maybe even as a bonus content / expansion later on down the road.
As for Eric being erased from the game completely, I think it would be better if the writing / storyline at the beginning of the game was rethought and redone. Not a complete rewrite but more tweaking. Basically, Eric's appearance (and complete domination of Ann) is so sudden there's no gradual buildup. If it done as Max "thought she might be seeing someone from work" or he had chats with his sisters about that possibility, it gives the illusion that more time has passed before Ann becomes nothing more than a talking Love Doll to keep Eric's dick warm.
Again, I'm not trying to argue about this... Just another voice agreeing with certain points and attempting to continue the dialogue.
