Even the search of "walkthrough" will give you tons of answers bud'.

It's meant to be that way until you start learning how to save 'em.
NG+ is even immersive as it's also part of the story.

Well this sucks. Hopefully whatever replaces them will work out somehow. Still, Chesire's Cat theme really fits her so well...

You can't. If you want to get physical with her then after defeating Florence, go back down the stairs. She's a tough fight though.
