I finally won against that stupid priest.

I just grinded until I got Kamikaze lv3 to get a super fast walking speed and thanks to this I won on my first try. I am using the japanese guide from Think-Game to know about about which skills I learn from which sword. It also describes the rewards you get from paying the rent, adventurer rank and colliseum rewards. And it also describes the trophies list (the reason why I am trying to get a 0 defeat clear and why I am playing on inferno, those two are separate rewards so itsn't necessary to do them at the same time, but I am also a bit of a masochist).

For the bosses I had inherited the +3AP when combo chain 3 and equipped Garnet Ring which gives me +3AP when combo chain 5. I also had Diamond Ring for the extra 2AP. The weapon was Kamikaze for the movement buff.

Nightmare: Its slow and some of its attacks can be countered as soon as it shows its attack signal so is easy for someone like me who always guard half a second too quick. I just ran away, attacked with Flash Slash (the piercing rain attack) when the opportunity came and used aerial combo (starting with Wind Slash). Since is so big, there are a lot of combination to keep the combo long. Used the super move whenever I could just to start the aerial combo as soon as possible except at the end since I wanted to start with the super move on the next battle.

Priest: I just avoided most of his attacks and hit him from the back with the Flash Slash whenever he did a long attack until I broke his defense and did aerial combo (start with Wind Slash to make him fly then Raging all-> T-Slash -> Burn Blade, repeating those three skills until I ran out of AP). Used the super move whenever I could just to start the aerial combo as soon as possible.

Even though I probably lost more than 100 times by now, thanks to save scumming I still have 0 defeats lol.

The double walking skill is kinda OP if you are not that good at this game like me since you can avoid most attacks. Now is time to finish the colliseum, I am still at the intermediate level, but with the walking buff it should be easier.

it's almost perfect for me. the content is also meaningful and motivation. i can control the fight. can change clothes but can't get naked. can go around the village but can't return to the previous village. even if i clear the game, i can't go freely and still have to play the plot again

Stupid baldie, the 3 old dudes were bad enough (Gargolye was kinda easy, although is a bit bugged since I parried against its flying attack and the game bugged with the Gargoyle not returning to the map).

By the point I reached the champion, I was a bit tired so I couldn't avoid nor parry as I wished.

Yeah try beefing yourself up, enhance your sword, inherit abilities, level up, find good recipes and buy the materials for it, choose the better ex blaze, and bam. Eat food, time your counters, abuse the ex system by hitting enemies constantly and filling your ex meter yada yada. Good luck

Food doesn't work on inferno mode. I guess I need more stats to reach the baldie quicker so I can have a fresh mind. It takes me way too long defeating the 3 old dudes whom I have to constantly parry (I lose in 3-4 hits against them while I have to break their guard like 3 times to kill them).

Edit: Grindeed until lv54 and the Soul Sword Astria until lv3 (double HP ability) and now I feel I can defeat the champion with a cowardly hit and run tactics.
Whenever he does that move when he hits the ground and a bunch of earth spikes appears, there is a window of time to do 3 slashes or 1 slash and a T-slash.
Before editing this comment, I managed to leave him until around 25% hp. Time to defeat this baldy before going to the capital.

Thanks to the double HP bonus I can easily kill those 3 old dudes since now I can fail the counter around 6 times before dying (the gargoyle always dies quickly so the old dudes are the annoying ones).

EDIT 2; Finally won. The champion is not that hard if you give up on counter and just do hit and run. I missed my lunch break just to beat this damn baldy.
Besides his earth spike attack, he also does some kind of charged yellow move which give enough time to use Fire Slash (the skill that makes Aries to spam stab attacks) which depletes his defense quite nicely.

Now I finally finished everything I had to do in this city so I will go to the next chapter. Honestly, the champion was easier than the stupid gun priest boss, but the long battle to get to him makes the player tired.

Just wondering -- Is there a way to get Boss-Paralysis Scenes in Memory later down the line asides from obtaining them then-and-now? I'd like to avoid giving MC's first time to a Kraken, if possible. I know the massage guy is one alternative, but I'm not sure what the lewd checks are (and how expensive it'd be) for MC to do it, so wondering if I can just defeat the boss and maybe get the scene itself later on.

I just ground out the cash to get the massage guy as first time without progressing the story. I think the lewd % probably has to be somewhere between 30-40. Before any massages i was sitting at 9%. After doing 2 (and using the 20k aroma and buying extra time) I was sitting at 43% and was able to get the scene on the third massage. So its going to take around 75k gold. Decent spot for grinding was spamming the Zalal Ruin quest, specifically the room with the lever and the 4 orbs around it. You can kill 3 guys real quick and get the annihilation bonus and reset the room, was able to get about 1k gold per minute with this.

I didn't sleep tonight and cleared the game.
The throphies I missed were the brothel, massage and the throphy you get if you get the rest because I went for the virgin route.

The final boss was a pain in the ass because she is pushed back by normal attacks so Wind Slash doesn't always work.
Using Fire Slash is useful because it slightly makes her float in the air. If she stays in place then Wind Slash, if she is pushed back then Raging attack followed by Wind Slash. If Fire Slash didn't manage to make her float, then run away again until you get the chance to attack her.
At lv 70, Champ belt, Garnet ring, King Fisher's Embelm and Soul Sword Astria gives you enough AP and AP regen to keep your combo until she dies, but I couldn't figure a way to keep the combo after she reaches the ceiling. A mix with Swoop Raid and Raising Edge should work, but a single mistake can ruin your entire combo.

The nice abilities to inherit are Speedy Movement, Double Break (useless against final boss so sadly you can only use it against one boss), hit duration +2 seconds, AP +2, SC 3 Recover 3 AP, SC 10 Recover 5 AP, Guts 70%.
You will have near infinity AP, a 70% chance of not dying (the only thing that beats that is the Angel Ring with 90% which you can use instead of another accessory), high movement speed to avoid most attacks and quickly attack from behind and the hit duration +2 seconds gives you a leeway to keep the combo numbers high.

PS: Belt was more annoying than helpful against the second last boss because I was confusing who threw which attack lol.
Also, I noticed that even in inferno food works. It gives every effect except HP recovery so using Grilled Meat to restore 100 EX Gauge and that 50% Atk buff was very helpful.

EDIT: There is a time attack mode now, but I can't clear Calamity Maiden on time in inferno mode.

I managed to do all of them in the time limit, the ones I had troubme with was Drawler, Champion and Rubrum Dragon, but using Megaton Fist, King Fisher's emblem and Champiom Belt did the trick.
Fire Slash and counter to break their defense gauge a few times until they get stunned. At that time I spam Cross Blaze taking a bunch of their hp.
The extend drive was Flare Berserk since it only requires 200 EX points to charge and also gives some minor atk bonus. The extend drive was mainly used to break their def gauge and stun them.

Now, the problem with Calamity Maiden is that she can't be stunned (or at least not easily) so the damage I deal is too slow.

EDIT 2: Finally won against Calamity Maiden on time at 03:06 when the time limit was 4:10 on inferno mode.

What I did was reloading my save before the point of no return and grind mats to get damage dealt +40% (You need 10 magical beast pelt which are dropped by the shadow beast that appears on the 2nd floor of Edel Cave), Pinch damage dealt +40% Defemse Down 10% (I don't know if it worked or not) and Pinch attack +50%. Since the issue was not dealing enough damage, I decided to maximise the damage.

My inherited abilities list were:

Defense Down 10%
SC 10 Recover 5AP
Pinch Attack +50%
Speedy Movement
Guts (70%)

Accessories:

Cusine: Grilled Meat (on inferno mode, the only food effect that doesn't work is healing, the EX gauge restore and the atk buff still works).

Skill set:
Wind Slash
Sky Tempest
Raging Attack
Burn Blade
Cross Blaze
Swoop Raid
T Slash
Fire Slash.

Extend Drive: Accel Ignition (use only 250 EX gauge to fill and gives 30 AP).

Strategy: Just beat the crap out of her, whenever I had the Super Mode, I used a combination I mixed Cross Blaze whenever I could in the chain combo until her AP was 20 and then I did my usual combos which are a mix between Burn Blade, Sky Tempest, T Slash and Raging Attack until I had 20 Chain combo since from then I could use Fire Slash, Swoop Raid and Wind Slash at the cost of only 1 AP.
Once I chained enough (I think it was 50) even Cross Blaze spent only 1 AP.

I practiced to learn how to counter that small slow dark ball because avoid that one wasted way too much time.
I usually spent on the middle bottom of the map to make her teleport inside the battlefield.
If she appears on the border of the field, my combo is Swoop Raid, T Slash, Fire Slash and Wind Slash. However doing a combo with those moves doesn't last long due to Fire Slash and Swoop Raid needing 5AP and to make them use only 1 AP you need to SC20.

To initiate the combo in other situations I used Fire Slash (normal attacks can push her so Wind Slash doesn't always work against her), followed with Raging Attack, Sky Tempest and Raging Attack. I bet that there are better starting combos, but I liked that one.

Tales of Blaze was a fun game.

Where to find Magical Beast Pelt?

Magical Beat Pelt are dropped by Shadow Beasts on Edel Cave Entrance. There are two on the second floor, but if you want to save time just kill the one near the stair. I even got the 500 hit achievement by killing that one until I got the 10 drops I needed to inherit Damage Deal + 40% from the best sword (needed to clear the time attack challenge against Calamity Maiden).

are basic engines so the amount of coding that has to be done for the main mechanics let alone

the first chance to lose virginity is at the port city in the massage mini game the next chance is mission in Corum chasing the apple thief to the top of the mountain.

i got the event after the massage game(because i dint have enough money)
but before corum because you can lose it too the kraken without a game over
basically get grabbed two times by the tentacles and you can lose her virginity then you get the option to continue the fight or lose and get the game over scene if you continue fighting after the second grab it still counts as losing virginity

The Kraken boss was hard (mostly because I was too stupid to not realize why I couldn't dodge while accelerating), but the whole sequence was fun.

I also found the Crust boss battle complicated to code with having a 3rd party fighting, although that part was a bit bugged (Aries can fly away if you keep a long aerial combo).

This game felt too polished for a porn game. I really wish for this dev to make more games (even on the same world as Aries since there are more countries and gods to explore).

EDIT: Checked this dev Cien. The next game looks like is another action hrpg. It seems more polished and it features guns. It's either another world or the same one as the one in Aries but in another country.

The translation is honestly not that bad, think of it like a jap made it with engrish skills, the japanese grammar structure is definitely there, still, its an official translation and very understandable.

Wait, this was the official translation?
This explain why it had some MTL level of grammar, but it got the context right while at the same time having mistakes that MTL wouldn't do.

Exactly, I believe it was official english from DLsite, which could be either DLsite itself or the developer commissioned his own translator.
I guess its really not that common sense, but I immediately got the feeling this thing sounded exactly like an native japanese speaking in engrish.
