i seem to have soft locked my game since i have all gates except the demon and elf one and those are the two areas i need to get to for the nephelym i need, is there a solution? or am i just forced to restart?

Edit: and by that i mean any way without using the "all portals" cheat

Yeah, I literally posted the same thing a day earlier, and I'm pretty sure we're not the only ones stuck like this.

The fucked up thing is, even if this does get patched out, I'm pretty sure we'd have to start over from scratch, so it wouldn't even help us. Unfortunately, I just don't have the patience to spend a few hours redoing the entire game (even using cheats doesn't speed things up much, you still have to capture specific monsters for Keystone quests), just so I can see the last couple areas.

Yes, Indeed. I softlocked myself in version 747.2 because the bunny lady asked for a bat nephelym or something and those aren't accesible if you open the gate to the Hivelands and the Sultry Plateau, so dev patched the thing in 747.3 BUT the bat breeding request still appears in the board and on top of that now the Sultry Plateau gate has some bee wax blocking it too, so you can't get the new request that was patched I think. So yeah, you need to start a new game.

Perhaps the dev should implement a cheat code to add keystones in the next update, so those who are soft locked don't have to restart the game.

Ey I'm not here to argue what you call what. To me a futa is a chick with dick instead of a clit, or female with magically transformed whatever male genetelia, which is temporary, but if it's naturally dick and balls, that's a trap, which is gay, but that's besides the point hahaha.
They'd at least have to retcon or scrap the whole lore thing with why futa's don't have balls, which is, who cares I suppose? but also stretch the crotches in such a way to fit a dick, balls AND a vagina as well as a butthole, which is, uh, why not I suppose if done right, otherwise they'll be weirdly shaped or too small. Sometimes Less is More. Really all I'd care about is that they make saves compatible between versions, kinda discouraged to play because I either miss out on new content, or have to scrap all my progress and cheats isn't my thing unless the porn game is taking itself stupidly serious, which this one does not, but I hope they decide to allow you to be able to get portals before or AT the cow people spawns (I mean near Autumn) at least, and fix you getting stuck if you open the wrong doors

Funny enough, I have access to the Bats. You get them in the Spider's area, just past the Cove, after you get the thicc naga out of the stone wall, but that's pretty far in, because you need the bees for the Dryad and the Titans for the Naga. For the most part, they did a good job with area selection, they just screwed up putting the gatekeeper so far in, and all this could be fixed, by placing either a Keystone in the Titan area or the Desert.

I tried to remember the last version i played before this one (since i'm not the type who download the game every updates) i read the changelog to retrace and turns out it was v.0.718

I forgot how many months ago that version was, but i remember that i could at least play that version for days before i got bored. I can't really point out what's wrong with these recent versions (i tried both 0.747 and 0.738, so with and without the progression system) but now i couldn't even stand to play this game for more than 1 hour...

It's probably a combination of all of the questionable design decisions Derelict has made along with general burnout. Everything he adds just makes the game more tedious. I recall him mentioning on discord that he has "played very few games" which would explain why he seems so out of touch with the things he adds. Everything sounds good on paper but his implementation leaves a lot to be desired, for example:

-Portals are added and for the most part function well enough but the recent changes were totally unnecessary and the portal at home is just far enough away from where you spawn to be annoying. You're supposed to be free to choose which gate(s) to open first but unless you like running all over creation this makes a single path almost a requirement.

-Fern changing the more you interact with her sounded cool but you have to initiate 50 animations with her, this takes lust which you need for everything else, all for the ultimate reward of...accessing her phase 3 animation which you can't even see the penetration of due to her flower. Even if some reward came from this that wouldn't warrant the work you have to put in.

-Surprise sex sounded interesting but it amounts to nothing more than a free easy way to capture any creature and blow your mouse out at the same time, then surprise BJ's were added which you can't even control the outcome of.

-Breeding requests seemed like a much needed feature but until fluid prices are fixed they're meaningless and until leveling is rebalanced would still not be worth the trouble in the slightest.

-Sex positions being unlocked could have been tolerable had the costs not been so high (made worse by the low favor you get for selling) and the trainer behind multiple gates.

-Locked gates are a mixed bag, personally I thought they sounded like a good way to add actual progression but unlocking them doesn't really make me "feel" like I'm advancing, this is partly due to the fact that this came way too late in development and because the quests themselves are all over the place. Getting fluids is easy but redundant because you're more than likely to be full of them anyway and acquiring them is hardly interesting or challenging. On the other hand you're expected to not only get a hybrid but they have to have the fertile trait and a high level and they have to be female (having futa enabled can make this much harder).

Even with cheats enabled this is an absolute chore because up until now you could just fuck around in the field until the right trait showed up but since this is a hybrid they have to be bred which means you really have your work cut out for you. You need to have at least one fertile trait on one of the parents and breed them until you get not only the hybrid but the right gender (having futa off helps with rng here) AND the trait, on top of that you have to get her to a level that--even with a kindhearted partner--takes countless breeding sessions. I kid you not I bred so many creatures that my barns got full and I still couldn't get the right combination, all because I had futas enabled.

It was at this point I asked myself: What the fuck am I doing? There's no reward for this and it's going to get wiped next update anyway so I bailed and have lost all desire and interest in this game. I think the final nail was a comment Derelict made over on discord, he said he wanted to add a succubus character that randomly visits you when you sleep, the end result being that you wake up with no lust...I have no comment. I'm at a point where I enjoy bitching about the game more than I do actually playing it but as cathartic as it's been I'm going to have to call it here.

Well, for what it's worth, you certainly know what you're talking about. I wish the dev would listen to criticism like this, done by people who have actually played this game and some others as well.
Personally I've lost interest. It's not fun to play anymore (never was, but at least it was fappable), models still look the same, some of the races are literally clones except for some weird-looking shark fin or headdress (centaur NPC looks fine though), progression is a joke and it won't get better anytime soon. Plus, every discussion goes back to futas with/without balls for the gazillionth time. I'm sure in the ancient times Plato and Aristotle had some enlightening takes about that too, and surely people used to draw futa balls inside pyramids or something, but I guess the fun is over for me.

I stopped being a patreon back when he broke his promise about it being a "High quality game" Wild Life came along within months smashed BOTN out of the race, and DH refusal to hire any talent to help with the game was the last straw for me,

You have corrupt video drivers, outdated video drivers, or your hardware doesn't support Feature level 10.0.

Try updating your video drivers, first. If that doesn't work try uninstalling the drivers, rebooting, and then reinstalling the drivers again.

Run DXdiag and click on the display tab, it will show the feature versions for your driver. If it shows 10.0, you have a corrupt driver or a Windows update that you need to install.

If DXdiag doesn't show 10.0, your driver/graphics card doesn't support that feature. Try updating your video drivers and if it still doesn't show 10.0 in the features for your drivers, you would need to buy a new graphics card.
