He is very dumpass about QoL things. I don't know which word is right.. not caring maybe, maybe lazy, maybe boring for him.. I forced him to do many keyboard shortcuts for example, same for some UI visibility... but I needed to tell him maybe 5 times to add a simple stuff. Maybe he became sick of me and probably he knows that I will be against to lose so much time with working a dildo company.
Very much so this. But this is the trap with breeder games. Given how long it is and how little progress is made between updates it's likely he's all on his lonesome right now. The warning bells started ringing in my head when he started implementing Lovense support. Lovense toys aren't cheap.
This makes me wonder what Lovense even really sees in a partnership with DH/BOTN in the first place.. He's got 5000 Patrons, the company name will reach a good amount of them on his discord when announcing it, but like you say they aren't cheap, so I wonder how many sales it kicks up. But, this is also a game that gets updated a couple of times a year and is in a perpetual alpha test state after how many years, apparent to anyone that sits down and plays it for 5 minutes with I think clear signs of mismanagement in a players initial introduction to the game (poor player feedback, initial tutorial/quest stuff being fucked up now with fluid and money changes, control or general QOL..) that would sour the impression of anyone looking around to determine if it's worth getting a business partnership with.

Breeding games should have some grinding if you ask me as the goal is to get the best breed with time. Do you play Botn for animations? Maybe at first but if you play it to breed you nearly always skip the animations.

Tbh, I see the Breeding Season superior still with the game concept, brave combinations and simplicity. That game does not need animations at all. At a point I told them to use image series for breeding combinations at least as a placeholder but they did not listen.

idk if every dev is in 100% control of this, i think in some cases you might have to eat one or two save wipes but i guess it would depend on if the dev even cares or not. (disclaimer: i am not a game dev what i said might be bullshit)
I'm of the mindset that it should be considered a mechanic similar to weapons in FPS games or building units in RTS games. Tieing sex to punishments/rewards should only ever be the case for special scenarios, such as different positions with Queen Slime or the Dragon Matriarch.
