Why when I enter lustwoods the game goes to 5 fps or directly crashes me? How I fix it
Lustwoods is like running a furmark test, if you crash you probably don't have strong enough hardware. I've never crashed there but I've had stutters and dips in fps but it's much better than it used to be. You're not the only one with issues there however, it's notorious for having bad performance. My guess is that it's because not only do you have two races that spawn there in a small area but they are both covered in fur which makes you take a large performance hit.

In short, should I avoid that area, or would I disable the hair option?

I've never messed with any of the graphical settings, I'd try lowering them first but failing that I guess your only option would be to steer clear of that area which sucks but hopefully you won't have any issues elsewhere.

doesn't seem to work what you're saying, I've got a Nephelym with B in fertility, Libido and Aptitude

and the message I get: no nephelym meet the requirement. But I guess since my nephelym is just level 1,

I might need an higher level to make it work
Which race is it? Do you already have a high essence level for that race?

The problem is that Lustwood is your starting area, so you can't really progress in the game if you skip it. (Unless you use cheats to get to other areas.)

To make it more playable, I used to set graphic options to the minimum.

The MC’s genes are terrible. They don't have any good trait except Desire. Their offsprings lose a lot of good traits. The MC are worst breeders for a porn game.
The developers should buff the MC.

+1 to not knowing how Essence system works. Had a dozen of foxen with 2 'D's and a couple of 3 'D's and nothing. Leveled up them up to 15-20 - still nothing. Tried to change Essence level via cheats to 2nd level and back to the 1st - nothing. Maybe it's due to the fact, that I unlocked all of barns and gates via cheats. Haven't tested yet clean save.

I believe it was demons, not totally sure and how do I know the essence level? It's not wrote anywhere
You can see the essence level when you interact with a wild one, should be in one of the corners of the screen.

In regards to essence, I think different races have different requirements. Because demons are a late-game race, they probably have the highest out of them all.

Edit:
Some hex editing and testing later, I found the problem. You can't raise essence from 2 to 3 legitimately. It's literally bugged lmao.

Edit #2:
It is actually not bugged. Instead, you need traits of a specific (not greater) traits for certain essence levels. So Foxen:Vulpus 2 ---> 3 requires a foxen with SPECIFICALLY swift 2, not swift 3. Weird it works like that.

Regarding the essence level system, the level increase occurs independently for each subspecies. Foxen Sionnach/Vulpuss levels up separately, for example.

Next, each species requires a certain level of one (or several?) of the 3 stats (libido/fertility/aptitude). The stat varies depending on the species.

And from a certain essence level, some traits of a certain quality are added to the prerequisites (like swift 2 for the foxen). This part is bugged because some traits are impossible to obtain so early.

In short, this part of the game is messed up, and unless you want to investigate for each species, use the cheat code: "Essence #" (1 to 5) to bypass this part.

Enjoy your game!

I haven't made it far enough in to get to this part but are there any indications at all in game as to what the requirements are or is it just "release everything you have at different levels and with different traits until the level goes up"? I was going to make time this weekend for it but if it's bugged on top of being so enigmatic I think I'll pass.

Tested what TrytoXyD said and it worked. I was able to gain Essence 2 for Sionnach (Male Fox) with the following stats

I think the same goes for Vulpuss.

I cannot image the amount of grind needed to have all races Essence 5. IMO, the main part of the game - breeding - is the most tiresome and boring activity to do. I really hope it will be enhanced greatly.

P.S. It appears, that the race of the offspring is determined by parents levels. I had Bat lvl 25 and Vulpuss lvl 2. All of the offspring were Bats. Leveled up Vulpuss to lvl 30 - the ratio changed to, as it feels, 50/50.

There's an outdated page on wiki about traits. It has a table of all traits as they were with 'Higher chance to find on' column. I believe that Developer has this in mind. This at least works with Foxen. Didn't tested with any other though

For now, there is no explanation in the game. However, there is a certain logic. Swift is an inherent trait of the foxen, for example. Instead of a bug, it's more like the game isn't finished. Swift 2 is necessary to level up Foxen Essence 3, but Swift 2 only appears on foxen with at least Essence 3... Do you see the problem?

I really thought the character creation for this game was pretty good and well thought out, however I would like to see more added features in future updates.
