Try docking at beehive station. Some "friendly" aliens want to hire the crew to investigate their victorian era style colony of abducted humans because (ironically) someones keeps abducting them. What is side mission 1 in quest tracker? How can i start it?
I checked but couldn't get it.
Well, it is the future. Personal growth and personal experiences dominate and continually reinvent an individual’s boundaries and interpersonal relationships. Through contact with alien intelligence and exotic cultures, humanity has grown beyond our meager understanding of social contracts. At the same time, leaps in biotechnological advancement further dilute any need for gender classification – while still a deeply personal issue, it is perhaps generally a purely philosophical debate, without any practical restrictions. At the same time religious dogma has either evolved or was left behind when faced with new live and new civilizations. STDs are just myths, barely coherent memories of a more uncivilized age.I enjoy most part of the games, the redundant porn game trope where every female character is bisexual is wearing on me though.
Although there certainly is trouble (and jealousy) brewing onboard. Have you encountered Sam’s nightly visit? This is surely only the tip of the iceberg. Now imagine that quantum torpedo repeatedly blowing up in everyone's faces. It almost starts to feel that it will end in Rachel getting the harem, rather than the MC, I really wish that part would be optional.
Hmm.. That is true, it does not change the fact that I find it extremely off-putting and annoying though I'm trying to remember who Sam is. I played the latest update today, before that I hadn't played the game for 6 months, so do refresh my memory.Well, it is the future. That’s your boilerplate reasoning for a ship full of nymphos. Substitute tech with magic and aliens with elves etc. and it is nearly universally applicable.

Sam's the reprogrammed Droid serving as the ships maid, whilst Tiffany is otherwise occupied with trade stuff.so do refresh my memory
Ah yeah, there has only been one nightly visit so far though, right? Hmm... Yeah I'm sorely tempted to leave the android and two other crew members on the nearest space station, if it were an option.Sam's the reprogrammed Droid serving as the ships maid, whilst Tiffany is otherwise accupied with trade stuff.

Of course, backstory and character development would probably make "some" characters more tolerable. And Kara being naive when it comes to anything sexual makes perfect sense, considering her backstory. I truly hate the idea that she will start exploring that part of herself with Rachel though, rather than the MC. And if that's the route the dev decides to take, then it's a deal breaker, for me at least. But that is what it is. The dev should tell the story he wants to tell.I think your sentiment is mostly due to the creative decision to have all the characters on board in such a
relative early stage of the game, with missing backstory for some of them.
( reasoning is explained by the dev earlier in the thread).
At least I myself find this the hardest part to deal with so far, in what is otherwise an amazing game.
Also if you look into Kara's backstory from where she's coming from it probably makes sense.
Seems she was quite sheltered in how she grew up and she herself doesn't seem to experience it as something sexual.
She seems just to be glad to have a friend or someone to relate too with some of the same interests.
(Kara's inner-thoughts do show that she struggles with confidence and is interested in the mc)
Also the way you can react on those situations with Rachel is maybe a prelude to the factions thing the dev is talking about?
Don't know, all seems interesting tho and curious what updates bring
Yeah, I'm having a hard time seeing how it benefits the narrative or how it would be appealing in any way what so ever. But oh well.
I mean I honestly wouldn't care if there was a choice / branching paths.Yeah, I'm having a hard time seeing how it benefits the narrative or how it would be appealing in any way what so ever. But oh well.
Well, what is or isn't NTR surely is a hot potato lol. I'm probably the wrong person to even discuss it since I avoid anything remotely sharing/NTR, but yeah that surely plays a part in why I find Rachels interaction with other characters off-putting. And in a perfect wold devs would either go allin or simply avoid it. I want to play the hero of the story, with everything that entails, not the best supporting actor. In the end of the day all you can do is to express your opinion, and if the game happens to take a turn in a direction that doesn't appeal to you simply avoid it. So here's to hoping lol.I mean I honestly wouldn't care if there was a choice / branching paths.
It's just giving me weird NTR flashbacks, and I don't like it
Without trying to speak for Xavster, it seems to me the prologue is presented the way it is because that part of the story is basically a Kinetic Novel, with no choices or options to explore, and then the "Real" story begins, which he laid out in a sandbox style. I know he has said he wanted the crew set up complete as is before the free roam began. I think the play style changing so drastically would be even worse if it wasn't presented as it is.Okay, I just fired this game up for the first time and I'm already turned off by it. Why not just start the player at the prologue automatically without spoiling it all in an awkward flashback first? I know that I can go back and play through it on the computer, but now that I've seen the whole thing spoiled, I'm not even sure that I want to.
I'm still going to give the game another shot, but the flashback is such a weird and off-putting design choice it doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the rest of the game. Which is a shame, because the sci-fi thing is just my style.
I really hope the game gets better.
Dev, would you consider just starting the player at the prologue so new players can experience the story organically? I can't think of a single reason why this 'drop us in the middle' design choice makes sense.
