Of course, backstory and character development would probably make "some" characters more tolerable. And Kara being naive when it comes to anything sexual makes perfect sense, considering her backstory. I truly hate the idea that she will start exploring that part of herself with Rachel though, rather than the MC. And if that's the route the dev decides to take, then it's a deal breaker, for me at least. But that is what it is. The dev should tell the story he wants to tell.

Well, what is or isn't NTR surely is a hot potato lol. I'm probably the wrong person to even discuss it since I avoid anything remotely sharing/NTR, but yeah that surely plays a part in why I find Rachels interaction with other characters off-putting. And in a perfect wold devs would either go allin or simply avoid it. I want to play the hero of the story, with everything that entails, not the best supporting actor. In the end of the day all you can do is to express your opinion, and if the game happens to take a turn in a direction that doesn't appeal to you simply avoid it. Without trying to speak for Xavster, it seems to me the prologue is presented the way it is because that part of the story is basically a Kinetic Novel, with no choices or options to explore, and then the "Real" story begins, which he laid out in a sandbox style. I know he has said he wanted the crew set up complete as is before the free roam began. I think the play style changing so drastically would be even worse if it wasn't presented as it is.
I still think it would be better to at least give the player the choice to skip the prologue or not. I've seen several games on this site give that option for returning players in a way that doesn't alienate new players. From some of the early comments, it seems like the prologue was the only thing that was playable when it was first posted, so it seems like it wouldn't be a big deal for it to be playable at the beginning as well.
