Actually, I think they mean to imply that the hidden passage shown by the red-goblin gets you behind those doors. It's why you can't exit that area from the inside. At least... that's the impression I got given that the other exit is straight down.
If you check the status page you can click right arrow to change the page and see what scenes you're missing. If its ev07 and end1 then you get those from completing the game.

There are some files in Japanese, it could be the cause.

I tried extracting the file inside (game name) instead of the whole file, then it just worked I don't know why though.
