That doesn't sound right. The UE4 centaur scene involved a male centaur fucking the player. The new ones in UE5 have a male, futa, and female centaur, all of which can have relations with players of any gender configuration. While the male and futa centaur could be made to work with the UE4 animations in a pinch, the female one certainly cannot unless they've also implemented some form of centaur strapon.
Edit: I've confirmed that the new centaur scenes are, in fact, all new. I ran up to them with a test futa character and found that I could be on the receiving or giving end for the futa or male centaur. Apparently haven't played enough to unlock the female one's sex options. The scenes I did find were all using the DSS interface, which means they have far more in the way of animations than the old UE4 centaur fuck did:
Given that I wasn't able to test the female centaur, I can't speak for how they handled her animations. I sort of assume it's going to involve the player putting on a strapon if necessary, but that's definitely an assumption. The player receiving animation will work regardless of the player's set gender. From what I can tell, all of this is set up exactly as the devs described and will allow player characters of any gender to fuck (Or be fucked by) any of the centaurs.

Could have sworn there was one later in the game (UE4) where you freed a female centaur and could be fucked by the character then.
That's not a UE4 scene I'm familiar with, but I could have missed it as I sort of tuned out UE4 content towards the tail end when they were focusing on UE5. Are you sure you're not thinking of the dragon from Winter Winds?

I think this game is what has caused me to skip early access pr0n games entirely. If they had mentioned that this was for old builds with 3-6 month wait times i would not have purchased it. Guess in about 3-6 months i can try out what ever 15 mins of content they give us plebs on steam lol.
Later in the game. You unlock it by completing Masquerade, at which point you can always return to a shrine on the first post-intro island in order to customize your character.

As mentioned before, to each his own. It just makes me sad, there is already little female centaur content out there and much of it is either futa stuff or things like that, is it to much to ask that there is some resemblance to reality? I mean even the pose in the screenshots are awkward and anatomically impossible, because hind legs of a horse can't bend like that without breaking their ligaments and tendons.
