The most recent UE4 version is linked in the OP. The UE5 version linked in OP is one version back, because the most recent version is a Patreon version that requires sharing enough information to compromise an account and get it banned from their Patreon in order to function.

They are basically different games. UE4 is older with more content. Think of it as a proof of concept with a good amount of sex scenes and quests 5-8 hours depending on how quick you are and if you use online help or look for everything yourself. On it's own its a fun game and worth keeping.

UE5 is the new build, you can tell they are building up to a bigger game here.

Unfortunately, the control is complete crap and cannot be changed correctly without massive errors.

Either the figure no longer runs to the left, or no longer runs backwards.

I'm not even sure the option menu keeps whatever changes you make, so you would have the same problem each time you open the game because the changes reset. That's what happened to me with the graphic options, had to redo everything everytime.
I would just suggest you to stay away from the UE5 build for now to avoid any headaches. The build only has under an hour of content anyway, you're not missing much.

EDIT : File added, tested and verified.
After doing some fiddling, hopefully this should work for you.
Put the file here : C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Carnal_Instinct_UE5\Saved\Config\Windows
If you don't know how to access this location, press the window key + R, write %localappdata% and confirm.

EDIT 2 : Nevermind, after some testing, some keys don't seem to get recognized by the game, so yeah, back to my original response. Sadly, either play with the default controls or just forget about the game and come back after an update or two.

Glad it worked. The UE5 build is mostly busted so some stuff has to be changed manually in the actual config files to apply, for example, the sensitivity sliders for both mouse and controller don't work ingame.
Anyway, enjoy !

You have to find small obelisks scattered around the playable areas, there's probably a guide here or on Steam to show you the locations. Alternatively, completing the "If It Bleeds" quest gives you a good chunk.

The Terminal and MixDrop links are still live, but the other two are dead. This site has a rule about a minimum of three viable links to any download, so anytime this happens you should report the OP with an explanation that there are fewer than three working download links and for what version (if necessary, like here) that applies.

Mixdrop gives me a secure connection failure and terminal gives me error 403. None of the other sites work for UE5 download for me either. Been checking daily to see if they have been fixed yet.

I have a very basic WIP cheat table that edits attribute points (character creation points) and essence points.

(this table is for UE5 2023 12 20 AKA v0.5.12) V0.21

EDIT1: V0.4 = You now can change attribute points main stats manually, currently only useful to increase statistics (aka fire resistence, hp, etc) by a lot, while keeping the actual main stats low.

EDIT2: V0.4.1 = Updated pointers for main stats. The previous ones were broken.

EDIT3: 0.4.2 = Updated pointers for main stats again. The previous ones were broken again.

I can understand why they do that, but I don't like it.

One, its a literal work in progress and port isn't complete. Its written everywhere. Two, the combat is much better. Three, I don't know where or what settings your using the the frames and graphics quality is better for me. Lastly, you can get the mask of in 10 minutes, likely a lot faster if you speedrun it. Its actually nice to give some context via the quest rather than just plant you in the middle of of everything without context. But then again I actually like plot and story...
