What a clown... petulant little child can't stand he was publicly called out for douchey behaviour and proceeds to act like an even bigger douche... my opinion of Zimon was alread low but he managed to take it even lower.

Yeah someone upload that the dev is not trolling,the dev only tried to give out not a new update but a new launcher with the purpose to upgrade the render with some comparison like old vs new(with launcher)but suddenly it got taken down.

Yes, you're tripping balls right now. Apparently a fan theory that says the Launcher is the future and the unofficially branded remake was official even if nothing was mentioned about it on official channels. Highly doubt it unless Zimon's team figured out how to update Android the same way and having only Launcher and Android links would disturb the PC Master Race. Even if true as long as the main game keeps using Ren'Py anyone can use the Launcher to download the game, archive it, and upload it.
I'm sure any fans that visit the dev's patreon, itch.io, or anywhere else can easily verify the Launcher is not the only thing available to download. A public announcement would be made if they were thinking of switching the status quo.

We can't tell if it was dev or just a fanboy, but someone was spamming new accounts to defend the dev, the info was just stuff from changelogs and release notes.

The launcher has nothing to do with renders, it's only a downloader (a very slow one, but that's beside the point), even then, the CoR: RE version pushed by Zimon is still here, and is the same as the one in the OP:

Sorry to butt in, can I say one thing in favour of the dev without being banned?
In the talk, it is said that a starting version will be posted here as a base, which will be updated in succession with the remade parts, not wanted to give a new version that must first be given to the patreons. If the game is to be distributed via launcher, this seems a normal thing to me, as it is not accepted here. Then he made a second thread since you didn't accept the first one, and in that one he added new things especially for your complaints, this one: MEGA, It contains renderings redone in some asmedia events and additions towards the end. Little stuff, but normal since patreons have precedence and this was a basic version for the forum.
Wasn't it better to discuss it civilly from the start?

First off: talking in favor of the dev isn't really a reason to get banned, but when people just create accounts with the sole reason to spam hard-to-verify information in threads, that's when the situation becomes muddled. No official channels of his have any postings regarding something that would constitute a remake publicly available - not the game website's news section, not the twitter (which it tells me doesn't exist), nor his patreon have any posts indicating a rework is in the making - which is the information most will have to work with. Then the version posted, as shown by redknights checksum comparision was basically the exact same, just renamed. Maybe that was an error on Zimons side, but at this point it's just hard to tell.

It is one of the reasons that there can't be much civil discussion about the logistics of something like a remake. When there's barely any info to base a discussion around, how is one supposed to take action? This isn't helped by Zimon ranting paranoiac nonsense as to how the F95 is out to get him and sabotage him every alternate step, especially when his fanbase goes at this with a crusader-like fervor and aren't interested in hearing the other side. From what I remember, this was even happening before the fiasco regarding the review manipulation occured. But when he then writes down page-long manifestos that ultimately convey nothing, but the facts he is trying to tell us keep changing around every other post, it's hard to keep track and actually keep a discussion running.

As an interesting side note, the reworked Asmedia scene is in one of the screens on that new thread, and I have to say - I'm not feeling it. The developer notes on that thread say it quite well: "The rendering method has changed, as renders go through Unity's postprocessing as the final stage" and it sure looks like he hit every post-processing option available to Unity. Spots look over- or underexposed and it just looks so blurred out and like a hazy mess. Sure, the previous version might have been of lower resolution, but at least it was crisp.

It's funny to see people defending Zimon yet, and that part of the "rendering method has changed" and "unity post-processing" just makes me laugh, never played Koikatsu? This is nothing but the types of Shadows you can choose when creating the character in the character editor.
Not to mention that the characters are not even original, (they are not made from nothing) you can find the original cards made by X and Y person (Pixiv, Fanbox, Kenzato, Bepisdb, Gumroad,.... etc), but I think nobody wants to see the real owners of the original cards come to complain and happen has happened with other game creators.
For me the moderators were patient despite all the problems that Zimon has been causing for a long time.
This thing of creating new posts is no longer a new thing or I have to remember that he tried to fool the moderators before, I think Mr. redknight00 remembers maybe:

Unfortunately it only makes you laugh, there are external programmes that allow you to improve renders, Unity can be incorporated among them, that pic there is not just a change of shadows, there is much more.

If people react immediately without enquiring and insulting, you have to expect an opposite reaction, seems normal to me.
The argument that is made is very simple, launcher coming, stuff that has to be redone, this is the solution that can give you otherwise you will have no windows or mac version, it seems simple to understand.

Ohh this is pretty normal to understand, but this has to go both ways - If you want to have the game being remade and distributed via a launcher, then just go and do that, instead of trying to push a file that apparently is identical with the previous one and calling it a "remake" to draw attention to it being remade. "Show, don't tell."

The information about these things are supporters only on patreon, but some parts are already available on discord:

Not everyone considers Discord a public source of information to keep up with an adult games news when the premier information hubs for those tends to be Patreon, Itch, the games' own website and (for some devs) even F95 because they embrace it here.

Next up, you are seemingly projecting quite a bit there.
To me at least, he isn't "some bastard piece of shit" like you say it. I'm just not cool with what amount of drama the dev is involved in - nothing more, nothing less. Besides, we can't exactly "move on" from that, because this is some pretty serious stuff that has never really been resolved.
This isn't someone playing a rascly little prank, but a developer who allegedly tried to manipulate the systems to further his own interests - at that point, this is simply not a trivial offense anymore.

It is also said that he continually causes problems, but there has been no interaction from him in here for a year now, apart from last week, but that is still a year's absence, you cannot say he causes problems if he is not even here.
Honestly? In my opinion, this whole thing was created by miscommunication on both sides, and I don't think it's fair banning for an error or that the links on the front page should be removed, they should be included, because if they were removed because of this matter, then it's also the fault of the forum and whoever managed the thread, if they were removed because Zim "still creates problems", that's an excuse, because he did nothing.

I wouldn't be able to tell if he continually caused problems or not, but from what I've heard, it's simply not the first time this has happened. It could've very well all been a big misunderstanding, but Zimon didn't exactly do anything to diffuse the situation. Is it fair to just remove all of the contact links to him over this? Well, definitely not if this was a first misstep, but since this isn't just a developer messing up for the first time, I can at least understand this as a measure being taken.

How can you say that the old render is better?

The second render is much better than the first, the only thing I can agree with is the blurring of the bg, perhaps too strong, but much better in the new one.
You can see that it is not just a change of resolution, it is completely redone.

Exactly because of that. That was my main complaint.
The model sure looks sharper, but all the post processing filters just make this look washed out in all the wrong places. It is an awful contrast when the girl is so sharp and the backdrop so blurred that I have to worry if my glasses need cleaning - sometimes, less is more. The older simply looked more crisp. I just noticed... Is Asmedia missing her tail in that new render? For it to be so prominently displayed in the original, this is an odd thing to have missing.

People who are really into the game have EVERY right to discuss the game and story content on this thread! That's what it is here for. Who are you to tell people what to do and say? Everyone has a right to an opinion, people 'commenting' (not complaining) on the emiko storyline obviously liked her character, which is a credit to the game and storytelling.
