Also, she's still a virgin at 25, never dated, never touched another man because she was and IS in love with MC.
Sorry, but this not exactly accurate. That's incorrect if you are not on her route ;)

Felt that needed saying and clarifiying.

Doesn't it depend almost exclusively on Han Solo?
I believe that is tied to getting her maximum affection points in the prologue. If you do she waits for the MC. She doesn't hook up with anyone else unless the MC rejects her after that. So yeah, even if you don't go her route she can still be a virgin at 25 until the MC rejects her.

That's how it went on my Mal solo run. Jaye didn't end up finally hooking up with someone else until the ending itself where she's married to another guy and has a kid with him.

In addition to narrative reasons, Stoya has said they deliberately made the poly ending hard to achieve because with the personalities involved, they believed it would be challenging to achieve in real life too. So you're definitely not wrong there.
Stoya wrote it perfectly, the personalities of these characters matter and if players pay attention reaching the poly option isn't hard. As I said I've got the choice without even trying on the committed solo Jaye route.
Everybody is focused on the talk and on the option with Mal after MC had sex with her. But having sex in the first place at that point is the issue here. Jaye's points must be high, that means MC is in love with her and Jaye is in love with him and it means they got physical very recently too. MC also told Jaye he's not dating anyone. Fucking Mal after all that isn't really nice and honest of MC.
I'll say that even the first option in that conversation (telling Mal it's just to help her) should not lead to the poly ending but that's just me. I could accept that in this scenario Mal's reaction does not give away her involvement with MC but I'd say it's less realistic for her to hide her true emotions since she tells MC for her it's about more at that point and running into Jaye caught her off guard.

For the record, I think the poly route made narrative sense too. Just was confirming that in addition to the narrative and character reasons, Stoya made it intentionally difficult to achieve.

As for your spoiled section, it's worth noting that on the solo ending, the person that shows up depends on who has higher love points between Jaye and Mal. If Mal has more love points than Jaye at the end of the game for a solo path, she shows up instead, and there's some very interesting info that is shared on only that ending. Namely, that due to the gene treatments, Mal's dog is likely to live to 30 years, Mal is likely to live to about 140 years, and Amanda is essentially unageing and biologically immortal. So all the more important to keep that tech safe and secret until humanity is ready.

Now that's some information there I've missed! :O

Chapter 10 has launched, I've been going through Chasing Sunsets from top to bottom and with the help of our dedicated beta testers, cleaning up bugs, errors, inconsistencies, broken math, and typos.

For those of you on Steam, our Chasing Sunsets trading cards launched yesterday, and you should see them turning up in your inventory based on time played.

No matter what, we fix what's broken before we break new ground, but after that we have something of a fork in the road, and we're hoping our patron base can help guide us here.

One fork leads us to remaster the initial chapters in Chasing Sunsets, bringing the art, animations, character models, and presentation up to the same level as the later chapters in the game. This effort would also result in a simplified variable system and removal of custom code that makes localization to other languages and porting to Android difficult. It could also include an integrated in-game walkthrough mode.

The other fork takes us to our Firebreak project, which is the next story set in the Chasing Sunsets universe.

The third third choice would be to split the difference, working primarily on Firebreak and bringing CS production values up as time permits.

To help with you with that choice, we estimate focusing on remastering Chasing Sunsets would take one 4-6 month development cycle and beginning Firebreak development early in 2026. Conversely, completing the CS remaster while actively developing Firebreak has more unknowns, but there would be synergies. Since Firebreak will be built from the ground up to avoid the pitfalls some custom coding in CS created for us (compatability specifically) it would be a relatively simple matter to plug the CS assets into that when it's ready for prime time.

Regardless, it makes our decision easier if we know the sentiment of our supporters, so that's what this is: An opportunity to be heard and help us choose how to best serve you over the next few months.

Damn, I'm just finishing all the paths, and the ending with Lisa totally broke me, cause they seemed to be going thru the right path and I was rooting for them, you could even see how she started to actually care and fall for MC.

Truly wished that all all the other LIs besides Jaye and Mal

Seems like most people swear by Jaye but I just can't join them for the life of me. I know preferences and all that, and I much prefer Mal. I just feel like I'm the oddball and want to know what I'm missing here. Maybe because my brother instincts kick in but the game does an okay job with taming that instinct and justifying the relationship. That's not the point anyway. What is it about Jaye, sibling or not, that makes you choose her over Mal? That's my main question.
I don't like that kind of talk. Now just stop it, it upsets me!

Only friends with benefits.
This is so disappointing. You leave her because she wants to have kids but you don't want to!??????? You have kids with everyone else in the endings but you won't with Bianca. WTF, that is such a shitty ending! You knew from chatting with her before you get into a relationship that that is what she wanted and that Gary was such a shit with her.

I see conflicting reports on this one's endings. I have personally enjoyed this game all the way up to 1.0 version but haven't had a chance to play the final episode yet due to me working on a vn of my own but i will have a look soon and see for myself how are the endings

The game is good and the endings with the main LI's are also good, both separately and together. After reading the comments, I understand that I did the right thing and only did a few playthroughs that interested me and did not touch other branches (and I'm unlikely to touch them if I replay the game). There was a game called Long Live the Princess, which also had many endings (about 15), and only 1 of them can be called good.

It's very difficult to strike a balance and give the characters what they deserve. But considering that this is the developer's first game and they were able to make great endings for the main LI's (which is not often seen in finished works) it's already a great achievement. Let's hope that the next game will be even better.

Well i only ever did Jaye's path so far because honestly she's the only one that piqued my interest and i always liked that path and the story of it so i should be good then. Either way, yes i agree that this is a great game, always has been one of my favorite vn's
