All these LIs in white lace. Is this a preview of their polyamorous wedding at the end? Or are you trying to convince us they're all pure and innocent?

LOL, oh no, my super early renders  Yeah... they are space pyjamas, I don't know why the hell I picked brown for them
Speaking of early renders....

...somehow this one made me think of "Thunderbirds." Though his head is small for that program.

It's named "color of my sound" and there's no sound in game... :)
But there is color....
I hope blume is june. So thats my theory on who she is. Tbh blume is probably a yet to be seen character but who knows. Anything is possible. Blume could really be an AI
If June is Blume, that adds an extra irony to MC's dream about June. To have June cockblock his dream about her....

I feel like Blanche is June. She had full memory loss, she had full body reconstruction and she is somehow related to attacks. Maybe she was a rebel who blew up somewhere and after the attack they thought she was one of them and fixed her. Although, June and Blanche is two different LI in codex.

Btw, didn't we see a real someone when Blume first introduced and even she blurred the screen when MC was changing clothes. If it was not a red herring from dev, Blume is most certainly a real human not an AI at worst she is a robot, but definitely not a automated AI program.

We talk a lot here about how little we can trust anyone in the game so I'm curious how everyone reacted to the opportunities to get to know Lana and Dizzy a little more intimately in your primary playthroughs. Also, what was it that made you say yes or no? Did you take a leap of faith, play it safe, blindly succumb to lust, or attempt to practice some bedroom politics? Me personally, I have to admit I took the path of the total horndog, but I had different reasons for my yeses.

The emotional backdrop of the scene with Lana was my character feeling distraught over what happened to Grace and failing the mission. I absolutely wanted to be comforted in that moment. I wanted to forget. I didn't want to feel like I was incompetent. I didn't want to feel like I got someone killed. Lana offered exactly the comfort and escape I was looking for at that moment. It mattered a lot who was doing the offering, too. Lana is the character I'm drawn to most in the game both physically and emotionally. What she was doing felt abrupt and out of character, but I didn't want to turn her down. I didn't want to lose the opportunity to get closer to her not knowing if I'd ever get another chance like that (actual answer is available in thread, but I'm in character right now dammit). Sure, there was a part of me said I shouldn't do it, that it was irresponsible, that it was a possible abuse of command, and even that Lana herself might want me to say no in the long run. That part of me totally got overruled in the heat of the moment. Horndog +1.

I was a lot less surprised by Dizzy's offer. Really, I felt like all of our prior interactions were leading us to this. I also felt less conflicted about accepting her offer. I knew there was no love or deep emotions involved here -- at most, there was affection and curiosity. I also realized it was quite likely that Dizzy had been ordered to get closer to me. The most obvious source of that order was Vera, and that's actually part of the reason I said yes. I'm open to aligning with Vera, and I was happy to potentially convey that openness in an enjoyable way. So I played a little politics and had a nice time with someone I like though don't necessarily trust. No regrets. Horndog +1.
Earlier, people were talking about "not sticking your dick in Crazy." Is it ok to stick one's dick in Dizzy instead?
Confused bystander here: What the hell?

Where did the foot fetish thing come from???
From Icstor? No! Anything but that!
Perhaps Quentin Tarantino or the producer of ATK Girlfriends.

In my experience, footjobs may be a part of foot fetishes, but otherwise, it's actually one of the most vanilla of kinks (especially when using stockings, which adds a bit of nylon fetish to the mix). I also don't see why so many people consider footjobs to be femdom.

Honestly, this is why I trust Dizzy as far as I can throw her.
Since she's such a petite girl, you can probably throw her pretty far, depending upon the planet's gravity.
I mean, I don't necessarily think what they said was wrong. Logically you would think it is better to have no animations than to have shit animations, but apparently, that's not the case for some people.

As for CoMS, I don't compromise quality unless I absolutely have to. If I ever find a way to render animations that would transition seamlessly with stills, I would consider doing it. But even then, time is another major obstacle to overcome before animation is possible. I don't even have the time to render stills, let alone animations that are a few seconds long.

I work from home and I only have one PC. If I could render all day on a separate rig, this would be a lot more feasible. Right now, animation isn't something I would consider as realistic.
I bought a new 4080 computer for my AVN work, but it is faulty. I need to send it back for them to figure out what's wrong. It's slow going trying to render a decent scene with a 1080 card.

Regarding animations--all the hubub in other threads have made me think I have to put animations in my initial projects to be accepted. The fact that you're using manga like blurring to show action instead of animation gives me hope.

I believe that Occam's Razor applies in Blume's case, especially given her appearance in this update. It's my belief that she genuinely cares about the MC that she used her real appearance for the hologram in an effort to build trust with him.

I posted a while back my thoughts on the recent update, but the short of it is that there seems to be multiple parties that have a vested interested in protecting the MC. The issue with speculating in Color of my Sound is that Gallant Trombe seems to be a talented write and has applied various techniques used in novellas here (e.g. foreshadowing, obfuscating plot twists). It's difficult to gauge who is a genuine ally, and who is a wolf in sheep's clothing, which is by design as the theme of the story is a mystery sci-fi.

I think the best comparison for GT's writing style is how the first season of the Expanse was written. You're given just enough clues that you could piece together what the grand reveal was going to be. Most of us fall into the category of not knowing said plot twist until it actually happens, and only then will the clues be obvious to us in hindsight.

Regarding animations--all the hubub in other threads have made me think I have to put animations in my initial projects to be accepted. The fact that you're using manga like blurring to show action instead of animation gives me hope.
This goes for Gallant Trombe as well: the key thing that matters with animations (in my opinion) is how smooth the looping is. However, from what I understand, even a talented animator has difficulty creating seamless loops, especially if said animations are less than 5 seconds in length.

I personally prefer devs with limited experience in animating to take the approach of using renders with a smooth transition effect and time delay (0.5 seems to be fairly common). It not only saves several days of development time, but also prevents backlash as people's preferences for the quality of an animation span a wide range.

Ultimately it's your decision as a developer what you want to do for your game. Despite my above statement I think it's definitely worthwhile practicing with animating, but only include them in the final product if you feel satisfied with what you produce.

Unless she is weighed down by the countless sins of her black, black heart!

I think a lot of the assumption that she's hiding behind a fake appearance hinges on this:

"This isn't how you really look, is it?"

"I'm glad it was worth the effort. I desig-"

Her response to the first line is to basically deflect ("Who knows?"), and it feels like if she was using her real appearance in an attempt to build trust, she would have admitted it was her real likeness. If it is her real likeness, it's probably less a strategic move in any way, and more just because she does seemingly have a bit of a crush on him, and may want him to "see her for who she really is". Though it's also just as likely in a story where you should trust no one that it's just an extra layer of manipulation.

The second line kind of implies she's about to say something like "I designed it after [insert person here]" or "I designed it to look appealing for you" or something similar. Though she may have stopped herself from saying the latter (if true) because it gives away the fact that she's being a bit manipulative (ie, appear like an attractive woman to a (straight) guy and you're likely going to find it easier to manipulate him). Also known as the MMO strategy where you play as a female character because other male players will absolutely treat you better in-game (though possibly at the expense of having to deal with guys who are a bit creepy stalkerish).

It's probably safe to say that literally everyone we've met in the game so far has a hidden agenda of some kind. The real question is whether or not those agendas conflict with ours, and just how far they're willing to go to achieve them.

Honestly one of the most intriguing VNs i've played in a while, the girls seem to all have life in them and are all hot in their own way, the writing is actually proofread properly (how did we fall this far that this is actually a criteria ffs) and is pretty interesting, and while sadly no animation (maybe in the future?) the renders are HQ.

Good luck to the dev, watching with great interest.
Hmmm....
I'm not sure that is reassuring.

Well Avns are still regarded as "Porn" Games, which is a half truth honestly. I absolutely love how Japanese Erotic Novels are "Amazing" while western ones are regarded with such hate. Do not get me wrong I do think that releasing 1 chapter per 6months is in itself a way to harm the reputation of AVNS (usually hardware limitations) but some of these Avns have so much good writing in them.
I see it as a spectrum. There are definitely some games here that could quite accurately be called "Porn Games." There are story-rich games like this one that definitely put the Novel in Adult Visual Novel. I've also seen some that sit somewhere between, which has some story and character development, but the MC has two or three sex scenes per day.

Since I don't use these as "fapping material," I get a lot more out of the story driven AVNs. I'm more of a fan of the mental stimulation.

If it happened in the past three or so years, there's a good chance they died of covid.
That's one reason my adult children and ex-wife/housemate knows I'm creating AVNs. We did have a few developers during Covid who disappeared and I couldn't help but think, with no link between their AVN work and their real life, no one they know would be able to tell their fans what happened.

I wonder if Blume has some serious disfigurement due to the war and that is a reason she designed the avatar. Not trying to manipulate him, just not comfortable enough in her current body.
