But to be honest, I don't agree with you.


I don't think BigBrotherrrr has a negative opinion of me or my game, after all he has a picture of my game in his signature, which indicates that he likes it.
And the more he writes on the forum, the more he spreads the word about my game, and helps me indirectly, for which I am grateful.


I don't engage into discussions in which there's a subjective opinion. "Bad renders" - maybe. "Bad story" - okay.
"It's disgustingly written" - it reads a little better in Russian. =)

I only try to answer when I see some misunderstading, mistakes, wrong interptretanion of the game, the plot, my words or actions.

After eight months of reading this thread, I still believe that I can explain my position to the people. And that most people will understand it.

And since no one here is PAYING for the game... fuck-em..?!

Some people here are repeatedly cheated by developers, some are disappointed with empty promises and don't believe anyone else, some have a difficult financial situation, some just don't like my game, that's happens and totally normal and some simply don't understand why they have to pay for what they can get for free, and this is also a valid opinion. =)

I understand them all.

Just because they don't pay me money doesn't mean I should pay less attention to them or their problems.

They still support me when they still remember the game, the last update of which was 5 months ago.
They still support me when they write that they're waiting for my game.
They still support me when they write that they will show patience.
They still support me when they write kind words.
They still support me when they mention my game in other discussions or give my game "like" or rate the thread.


I think most of those who support me on patreon came from this forum.
And without this forum, it is unlikely that the game would have started to be developed.

There are a lot of great guys here who write useful and interesting comments.
A lot of people have been writing to me in PM offering their help.

I will always be here and I will always answer people and read messages. Even if it's hard sometimes.

I'm not going to lock myself in a "room" where everyone loves me. Of course it's simple and pleasant.

But it's not that interesting.

People can unsubscribe from any developer at any time. Or they can only pay for an update.
The patreon site is not for selling games. It's for supporting people.

The fact that no one makes people support developers and that they can unsubscribe any time, doesn't mean that everything is fine. After all if there are such devs as Erosion Games, the creator of Dual Family, and the one you mentioned, then something's clearly wrong with that system.

I don't think there are enough people who can say negative things, I can see there are almost none. So that's one of the reasons I write all this. Because, just like you, I don't want you to lock yourself in the room where everyone loves you. And because I prefer to see things how they are and not how I want them to be, and raise the voice when something has to be said. You see, if I hadn't said it, no one would. And there IS a problem with your schedule, not with your speed of work, not with your writing, not with your renders (well to be honest, partly, yes, there is, you've seen what I posted before ). And the fact that after these inconveniences which led to what we have today, some people say that you should resume your patreon page, even though there's a very good reason why it's paused, makes me want protest and say that something's wrong. There's only one thing that stops a dev from becoming a milker: self-restraint. There really is nothing more, you could just say "duck them", like some little brats suggested above, resume your patreon page, and become another dev that everyone hates eventually.

Btw, I really like your game. When I first played it I was blown away. I thought, "Wow, I didn't think such a game could exist!". But there are more than enough people who told you that, so... I just said what had to be said. Don't become a milker, and give us more previews .

Just read through the thread from the very first page. For me it's more then enough, tbh. =) And there will always be more of them here. And sometimes it's really hard and painful to read.

There are many ways to criticize. We're all human and we have feelings.
Be polite and calm with me and you will get the same in return.
I'm open to dialogue, and I'm glad if someone finds a way to make my game better.

For example, Gargarlley pointed out that colorblind can't read messages on the phone. So I made a choice of background and text color. Just because one person politely asked me to.
And a dozen more little things I've fixed and I'll keep fixing them, just because someone pointed them out to me here.

I am glad that sometimes here write people who speak positively, logically and constructively. Without too much emotions, and without the feeling that I owe them something.

Yeah, well, I've seen only four, and one of them was in low resolution so I didn't pay much attention and forgot about it. And the point is that they're all kinda cut and for us, plebs, it's too little. I wish you'd give us more previews or at least some "uncut" ones.

Lose them? That doesn't sound like supporting someone but trying to buy something. When I want to do the latter I wait until there is a finished product (which in this case would be free). I guess one can see it as an investment instead if one wants to (but a stupid kind of investment financially - and, yes, I have pledged several kickstarter campaigns).

Interacting with others is one Golden Rule few developpers understand. Thank you ttll for doing it, even though you're not obliged to do so. What many people hate here is when devs play the " silent card". You're not like that and from what I read, you speak with an undeniable honesty. At first, I, like many others, thought that you were Aortta. To all guys still thinking that, let me tell you that Aortta is the perfect example of bad communication. He never cared when ppl kept harrassing him to give some news. Don't forget that.

Have been on this forum for a little while and read a lot of posts and reactions but never posted anything. This shall be my first post: ttll This is BY FAR the best comment from a developer on here I have ever read and you deserve 10x more patrons for this post alone, not to mention your game which is easily already one of the best on here.

You seem honest, dedicated, articulate, thoughtful, critical, self-reflecting, open to criticism and most importantly RESILIENT and not easily offended which is basically impossible to find on social media and forums these days, much less for a developer (who often act like little cry babies who can't cope with even the softest form of criticism) - thank you for that! The fact that you are open to this community also shows that you are smart and know the power of influence this community has even when there are a lot of people who are here to get the games for free (again unlike some developers who have you blocked on e.g. discord for even mentioning this board). Love your game and thank you for being so cool!

Obviously, I'm here to answer that I'm not Aorrta, I wasn't working for Aorrta (ppl too lazy to check my profile and see my old DoD, BB fan-art shitty renders) , I'm not a "milker" - because patreon is on pause for 3 months, that I was showing a preview 10 times, that the "January Thoughts" post was posted in January, not February... and so on. =)

Answering "people's thoughts."
But somehow it's no longer thoughts, but assumptions and theories.
