On day 2 you get your 1st sharing points- can't see how much clearer things could be
The game was meant to be a corruption game- if you aren't going to research what paths the game was intendend to follow there is no point complaining it isn't what you want

There's a big difference between sharing with Elena and sharing with Martin or Ryan. There isn't a single guy close enough to D, to think that there will be sharing with guys. I didn't complain about anything, I just said my opinion. We can't like everything.

I finally took the plunge with the latest update and started playing the game. I am now one week in and I feel it's time for a short summary.

Yes, the game cannot deny that it's developed by Mr. Dots. You have the inner monologues which are bordering on the excessive, cutaways to other protagonists and the sinister plans of the antagonists. You got the relationship menu when you click Daughter's (in my case Lisa's) picture. And you got more or less the same cast as Melody:

- MC: successful jack-of-many-trades with self-doubts what he is doing
- Lisa / Daughter: virgin big-boobed "kindness coin points-gather machine", in this case a bit shy who wants to be a model instead of a musician (see: Melody)
- Elena: small boobed slightly manipulative promiscuous best friend, possibly evil (see: Sophia)
- Jennifer: no-boobed Melody-lookalika who has already joined the workforce and is therefore busy (see: Xianne)
- Georgina: the giant-boobed smart one with a crush (see: Rebecca)
- Maria: boss bitch, definitely evil (see: Bethany)
- several dim-witted antagonists

This does not mean that I think one game is a carbon copy of the other, just that we have more or less the same stereotypes. I appreciate that there is a slow burn as MC is struggling with the incest thing, this is definitely not the game in which you jump everybody from the beginning. In fact, apart from several masturbations and some groping and a voyeur scene there is not much action going on during the first week. Of course all that is easy for me to say since I don't have to wait ages for a new update since September 2016.

One thing I would have liked is a slightly different corruption representation, those black flower petals hurt a little since it feels that something is dying off. Also, at one point I received a sharing point; however, I have absolutely no idea who to share Lisa with. Photographer dude and his creepy brother? *cringe* All those dudes who are just walking up to and disrespect her? I'd rather punch them all the way from the main city to the beach. (Yeah, I tend to get a bit protective about my virtual daughters.) Martin? He will have to be thoroughly assessed if he is worthy. Since he is currently banging Boss Bitch the jury is definitely out and it's not looking good at the moment. [He looks a bit like Liam by the way.]

One more point I don't like that much is that the game forces you on several playthroughs to get all the bonus pics in the gallery and that at one point I had to jump back from Day 5 to Day 2 since five of them have just been re-locked for some reason.

Predictions: At one point we will see our ex-wife again, Lisa may leave at the end of C1 to go back to school for a time jump and return at the beginning of C2. That's it for now, I will return when I am up to date.

DMD was out before Melody so if anything Melody's cast is a "copy" of DMD.
IMO yeah the Mr.Dots team has a formula, but that formula seems to work for them. Think of the horror movies they all share a basic formula, 1. victims are trapped with the monster, cut off from assistance and have inferior weapons, 2. Monster always has superior assets than victims, 3. After most of the victims perish the survivor(s) find (or create) a miracle weapon to destroy the monster. That is basically almost every horror movie ever made, but they are still entertaining.
Nice catch on the Jen-Melody look alike, I totally missed it.

why not like everything just means you get quadruple the amount of porn in any given instance that you get to consume. that rather bad joke aside, i do prefer the way they did the relationship panel in melody over this, and have wondered for a while if they could stop calling it corruption levels and just call it relationship levels, then change the flower to start black and become pink. i get for the most part the idea of it originally, but even at high "corruption" she always felt way to innocent and hyper-focused on the mc, or rewrite the starting sections to have the sharing paths have a bit more to them so it feels less jarring later.

But the Martin event did have it's groundwork laid in Chapter 1, maybe originally it was planned for D to get to know Martin better.
In any even D has had a tectonic shift in her approach to sex, from NO WAY! to OKAY!

I downloaded DMD V24 and unzipped it. When I load the end of Day 32, it just says You've reached the end of this version and can't go any further.

That's how I see it. I don't know what was proposed and when, but the game is called "Dating my Daughter" and not "Sharing my Daughter" and the way the first two chapters progressed didn't suggest anything different. Even the Elena/D relationship has a different dynamic. Other than that, we had a lot of build up so the MC/D relationship get to the point it is now, while the sharing paths (exept for Elena's) feel way too rushed to me. Just to add some BBC and to make the people who kept asking for NTR happy with something close enough since they won't get what they want. I don't see it add up to the rest of the story so far. But like I said, that's just my personal opinion. I'll still play the paths, I like so far.

Have to say Im not too happy with the new update shoving Elena purely into the sexual attraction-only realm.
We have plenty of sharing routes that solely seem to run on that so pushing the one route that actually has a semblence of a developed relationship into it as well feels like a bad choice(and rather forced at this point).
Maybe its just setup for later character revelations/development but if the narrative seriously intends to go that way...yeah complete waste.

I used to donate to Mr. Dots when this game came out and it was until talk of going to a pet store that a beastiality tag was placed on game. All that is said about it all is from a question someone asked and was answered "Introduction will happen soon"...Visit to Pet Store?????????

Possible but then its executed rather badly as its intentions are unclear.
The entire problem here is that the sudden change contradicts her prior actions and doesnt really give us any reason as to why.
In a narrative that so heavily relies on inner monologues I expect a bit more than a "*sigh*" at that point.
Normally I would give the benefit of the doubt and just ignore it till some later update gives clarification on the situation but with how .24 makes some rather jarring changes to the underlying game mechanics I cant help but feel that someone found the character motivations of Jennifer and Elena too closely tied and suddenly wanted to course correct there as well(and if that really is the case,Jennifer certainly would have been the better choice,if still not a good one).

I know the speed of the new sexual events seems fast, but it is not internally inconsistent with what was slowing down her previous development, which was a combination of emotional trust and with breaking a taboo. I would argue, outside of that, there isn’t any particular sexual act that she had an issue with doing.

Second, as most of us may remember, that moment you first have sex opens up a rush so that you want to try so many things right away... or at least that was my experience with my first gf.

Jeff - is the writing team re-reading the whole of the previous character's dialog every month or so to keep the characters personalities consistent?
As per my quick review of 0.24 up thread I too found Elena's dialog jarring. Hope to see this addressed

Honestly, the MC is painted as having a member that is way more than exceptional and she loves him and trusts him completely. They currently have sex so often that her patch has to be practically raw hamburger down there. It doesn't really add up that she is fantasizing about anyone else tbqh. Previously the only time she has been exposed to and tries different things (at least that I can remember) is when others push that on her (to further their own interests) as acceptable and rationalize it effectively and that should be the way it always is or you aren't corrupting her, which is the core principle of the game. Whatever choices they make about other character arcs they should always maintain the D as being lead to these outcomes imho.
