Christ I've never seen so much obsessiveness over a fictional character before...well maybe in the JOHN thread.
That's why most people have clicked to ignore him.Have you ever noticed how they immediately jump to ad hominem when they can't refute your argument and even when you're replying to someone else?
You misunderstood, I was talking about the people who were attacking Rusty. And they never seem to use the ignore option, just personal attacks and slurs. I can understand someone who has trouble putting together a coherent argument, some people don't grasp logic. But if you are so insecure that you can't hear a simple, honest criticism of your favorite game, that's unhinged territory. That's why most people have clicked to ignore him.
Its not an honest criticism though, the dev just isn't doing what you/they want. You misunderstood, I was talking about the people who were attacking Rusty. You nailed it.So you've been around to watch the evolution of this VN since its inception. That means that you watched the patrons' support for Dee's corruption, as contemporaneously documented in this thread, evaporate in the first 4-6 months of its initial release. Long before the beginning of Chapter 2. Them's that pay call the play.
if dev does what others want then no1 likes it, too much a and not enuf b or too much d and not enuf s etc.Its not an honest criticism though, the dev just isn't doing what you/they want.
Oh I see, so criticism is only valid if you agree with it? LOLIts not an honest criticism though, the dev just isn't doing what you/they want.
Once again the fan's of this game are saying "no one is allowed to criticize this". You're wrong, in a free forum everything is a fair target for criticism. If you don't want to hear it use the ignore function, but you have no right to tell anyone they can't post their opinion. Some seems to forget that dev aren't at your service, they do what they tend to like as any autors. They sure keep in mind what their auditors may like but that doesn't mean they have to what YOU like. Any person has their own point of view, things they like or dislike. So if you aren't completly stupid stop to critisim and complain about the devs because they don't do why you like, pass your way and find something that suit you better.
2 years of the same criticisms is just obsessive. Every post doesn't need to the same fruitless critique.Once again the fan's of this game are saying "no one is allowed to criticize this". Then use the ignore function and let it go, or are you obsessed with Rusty?2 years of the same criticisms is just obsessive. Every post doesn't need to the same fruitless critique.
what that has to do with dmd?Does this series have more sequels?
No I meant valid criticisms are things like spelling errors, bad grammar, grainy renders, bad lighting, bad camera angles.Oh I see, so criticism is only valid if you agree with it? LOL
Sadly it stopped at Sabotage 4. Same as Badboss....Does this series have more sequels?

I don't agree, the story is the central part of a game. And probably the most important part. And in a situation like this where the dev dramatically changed the direction of the story, just to pander for more Patreon bucks, it's going to draw very well deserved criticism. No I meant valid criticisms are things like spelling errors, bad grammar, grainy renders, bad lighting, bad camera angles.
Is there a post/quote from the dev confirming this anywhere?I don't agree, the story is the central part of a game. And probably the most important part. Wait so which is responsible for mr.dots changing the direction? The new writers that were hired or the patrons?Critiquing the story is fair game. The story is probably the weakest part of this game. It's had poor pacing since Ch2 started. Either with routes being completely forgotten for extended periods (Martin) routes being dragged out (D/Rachel) or routes being neutered (Graham/Olivia).
It's been posted several times before, but the content people complain about (sharing etc.) were planned tags since the game started. The old MrDots website laid out what the game was meant to be. The story was botched when he hired a couple writers and let them write a story that deviated from what Dots originally wanted.

And when that content actually started to get added in Ch3 people had a cow and that caused pretty much everyone on both sides to get fed up. The "vanilla" people were mad content they dislike was being added (despite this content being planned) and the "taboo" people were mad because this content keeps getting put in the backseat regardless. Like the latest update when D/F go to a swingers club...and didn't swing? Makes sense.
