Exactly. You're constructing elaborate fantastical lunacies to excuse a purely economic decision. Is the Dots team about to launch a game entirely unlike the three games they've already released? If you believe the histrionic member of the team who still posts here, very much not. They have a mission, they have rigid fences, and until there's a personnel change there's never going to be anything else.

If I wanted to buy a Toyota, and I told them I'd pay them $15K for the car right now, but they countered with an offer to make me wait a month and pay $30K to deliver the car, I wouldn't take that deal. But for Toyota it would be an absolute coup. The Dots team is double-charging people for games they don't necessarily want to support. They probably will, in that the devs have made it pretty clear what they're going to produce, which will always adhere to a predictable template, and that's a financially clever plan. From the perspective of the developer, this is lucrative genius. People get half of what they're paying for each and every month.

From the perspective of a potential supporter, it's different. "Pay me twice as much money for half the content" is the current business plan. Would I agree to that? No.

All kidding aside, I hope that Mr. Dots is incredibly proud of what he's made. After getting dropped by Patreon I doubt most people would have blamed him if he quit, but the fact that he made a game this long, that was this consistent in its quality and actually managed to finish it, and not just "finish" it (IE "I'm bored, so here's a hasty final update") is a hell of an accomplishment.

This isn't the first good game he has finished. It's one thing I like about this dev, he does good quality games that actually have an ending. Melody was a very nice VN of his as well.

Walkthrough Mod / Cheat Mods / Scene Gallery (v0.35)

This is my Walkthrough Mod and Cheat Mods for Chap 3 and what it currently available for Chap 4.
I will continue to update Chap 4 as it gets released and will go back later to do some work for Chaps 1 & 2 but they are low priority right now and you'd be better off just using Lain's Mods for now.

The purpose of these mods, at least for Chap 3 on up, is to give the ability to do the Georgina & Jennifer Paths together while incorporating as much of the D solo/Elena/Jennifer/Georgina only paths into an Elena/Jennifer/Georgina Path while also fixing any missed grammar errors and small overlooked bugs. These mods will be based on Lains's Mods for the Walkthrough + Scene Gallery for Chap 1 & 2 and just the Scene Gallery for Chap 3 on up (less work for me and avoiding re-inventing the wheel).

Starting with v0.33.1 I am doing the Scene Gallery myself based on Lain's Scene Gallery mod.

Well what a ride.... DMD was (after Akaburs Witch Trainer (still my all time favourite) one of the first porn games I played, after discovering F05 and the world of porn games. I can't believe that it is finished... I remember all the ups and down during the years... The long wait to finally having sex with DEE (and the other Girls), the almost ending during the Patreon Purges...
and the new plan with updating Melody and DmD during that time...
Still can't believe that Mr. Dots and Team pulled all through that and finished the game. Kudos to them.
But now that adventure is over.
I'm excited to see what the future holds

So for me it will always hold a special place.

Check what path you have set to "YES". I had Georgine/d and Jennifer (I think, the first one in the list) set to yes and that leads to this problem, where the game just ends after day 49. The problem is that this is not a valid setting, as you can't have both, so some script doesn't know what to do and doesn'ät progress to day 50.

It's probably going to be set in the same world again though, so the dev can promote himself without it looking out of place.

I played the update last Friday and then went on with my Christmas so I've had some time to reflect on what was aVERY disappointing update. It seemed to me that the reappearing title cards "1 week later" etc covered up scenes that MrDots and team did get round to finishing. A limp end to what was, for me, one of the main reasons I came to this site.
