She certainly does, if one that's formed by a biased influence. It's clearly a flawed one (separate issue) but the point is she's doing something other than playing that part she's expected to play. Her own ideas, i.e. not just going with the player's preference.

And she's always had her own opinions. She believed the diner was worth saving. She wanted to get the jukebox fixed so much it became a plot arc of its own. She wanted the MC. She has opinions about Lily, Heidi, and Moe.

But why does she ignore her life with her father he never betrayed her during the 18 years or did he?
There shouldn't even be a opinion that involved in believing her aunt.
Amanda wants only the D of her Father..... that's how i see it know.

See, that's another opinion of her own. we're free to agree or disagree with it but it exists.

Well, that just provs my point then.

As for wanting the d... I guarantee you, if a woman is in such an emotional mess as she seems to be in (and the consensus seems to be she's pretty deep in that), the last thing they're going to do is put up with your shit to get your d. Plenty of d out there.

...that's an opinion. I think the character model for Kathy is hot, and if I were a reasonably attractive datastring of 1010100001100010101010 and not a person (or better yet, if she were a person) I'd love to get with her. Opinion.

I said pissed yes but whats she does is throw everything her Father gave or did for her her whole life out of the windows that is not being pissed but being an ignorant little bitch that should know better that her father would never do something like that.
For me that just shows how much she doesn't care about anything (Diner Friends Love Father). There is no Room for something like that if you care about the person that raised you alone!!
Maybe if she was a teen that could explains things but as an grown ass woman who runs and works in a diner with her father!
A big fat Nope for Amanda and her actions!!!

None of that is her opinion, that's her aunts opinion pushed onto her.

She's backed off because she has no opinion of her own and doesn't know what to think.

The problem with your last statement is she's still getting that D. So this money stealing, mother killing arsehole is still railing her pussy.

Not only does she carry on with the kids tantrum she still wants her lolly pop at the end of the day.

That's how opinions work. I like the band Queen. That's an opinion I came up with, but not without influence from my dad who got me to listen to the band. Opinions are formed with bases.

"Backing off because she doesn't know what to think" is normal in a case like this, but that's because it's a huge decision that needs weighing, and not because she has no opinion of her own. Hell, the choice to back off is also her opinion -- she doesn't outright stay (what the MC would want) or leave (which the aunt would want). Her choosing to figure things out in some way is her own idea. I've already conceded that her staying at the aunt's place is a bad look for the story being told.

It's hilarious that you demand more sophisticated thinking from her but are completely fine with "yup she's only sticking round for dick" to explain her actions, completely dismissing any possibility for complexity there.

I'm not trying to be involved in this drama, but seriously, this is a VN rite, writing is a form of art,not everyone gonna like the finished product or understand it,let the the author finished this one first,i know some of you really invested in one or two characters in this game(or VN,i always prefer to call it an aVN) but seriusly just enjoy the ride, enjoy the high and enjoy the low, even tho every chapter in DfD probably is like few pages if you compared to something like let's say A Song of Ice and Fire, but still it takes creativity,so just be patient,if you don't have faith in the writer, take a step back or take a break, come back a few months, see whether you changed your mind or not.For me as long as i palmer keep kathy in 90% of the DfD's new episode,i'm happy,at least i have something to look forward to(Don't get me wrong i don't like where the story goes as well,I agree that amanda is a bitch etc)but he haven't finished the story, take a chill pill and enjoy the ride, and one other thing,if he can make you feel invested in few characters in his work, that mean he's already doing a good job,and if you think that he drag this too long, consider how freaking long fans of ASOIAF have to wait every books, without game of thrones i don't think he'll be alive when he finished that series,LOL.Just my 2 cents tho.

PS:Kathy for Dinner,Heidi just an appetizer :p,LOL

Your missing the point... The fact that she wouldnt at least ask the MC about this new information wether its backed up by Moe or sleazy ass Saul and just go straight into MC hate mode is beyond stupid. Its just a terrible job by the writing team to add rediculous conflict plot to a damn porn game. It was handled in such a terrible way it makes one question if the whole point is to get the players to hate Amanda with no chance at redemption.

And it seems people forget the MC raised her from birth with absolutely no requirement to do so. Simply for the love he had for her mother and wanting to do right by Lanie, Amanda knows this... So why would she need to "think" over this new info for even a second is beyond reasoning. Does she think the guy spent 18 years of his life raising her just to get a crack at her families wealth... come on....

And thats the Problem the Aunt is a and should be a Nodody to Amanda! You don't listen to a Nobody that doesn't know YOU only her FATHER knows who Amanda is!
Nobody's shouldn't have an influence on somebody that was raised only by her/his Father alone.
You act like the aunt is a valid point but it's not an Aunt that act like a Bitch not only her Father says it but Amanda says it too .... How does she listen to somebody that calls her Father the Villian of the Story!!
Her Father should always be the Hero for her She Knows what her Father did for her... everything he could was to help and make Amanda Happy!

it would be much better it the aunt was "nice" and wanted to build a relationship with her niece and then backstep her father by slowly building doubt about her beloved father... then you have a real drama but when you just throw an aunt into it that clearly doesn't have good motives then it's just drama for drama.

Thanks for your comment. I definitely understand it. This is a series though, and you sort of have to follow it for all of it to make sense. But I totally understand it; that's why I'm trying so hard to explain Amanda's behavior :)

Have a great Sunday bud!
I'm still buying it. I'm only up to ch 14.

Exactly. She's uncertain. Doesn't know who to trust and what to do. She handles it in her - young - way. We felt that was realistic and we like it. But hey, it's not for everyone.
I agree that some people would handle it this way. And try to work it out for themselves first before confronting MC about newly discovered facts.
