On Linux you can run some other web server and host the game on it. That miniweb.exe server won't work, anyway, not just that bat-file that starts it.

I've been playing the online version, but when I try to go to Chp2 and upload the backup, the game resets and prompts me to load a back up. I don't get it.

I have the same issue with Chp4. The game does not recognize any backup file and just asks me for it over and over.

I have the same issue with Chp4. The game does not recognize any backup file and just asks me for it over and over.

For me, when I played from the beginning I never had to upload. However when I played from ch4 on while testing for Sam I needed the save dat from 3. Do you guys have cookies disable or something like that, which would prevent the data from being stored?

I changed nothing and it referred to Amanda as my daughter and to me as her dad at all times. There wasn't any scene that questioned it much, although there is a note that Amanda leaves you in 4 that she calls you Dad in.

When i downloaded Chapter 1 and play it to the end-i never can save a backup file,there is no Backup Data" option for me.
What should i do?

If you want to play ch 4 and 5 you need to play the online version. The mega download is the offline version.

As someone who isn't really a "kiss and tell" type, Mortelli just grosses me out. I wouldn't ask for him to be removed, because its an artistic decision, but I could care less about him.

I just wrote a "how to" for Debian / Ubuntu-based distros to host the game on apache2 server. Would that help anybody?
I'll post it here a bit later, if anyone wants it.
It should be fine for other distros, too, only installing apache2 would be different.

Sorry! I thought that the game could be hosted on any httpd server, but it turns out that it can't. Hosting works, just the game won't start, only the F95 background is visible, the game won't load.
I don't know at the moment what the problem is or how Sam made it to work on that miniweb server.

Damn, forget what I said. It was just a simple permission problem. I forgot to change ownership and permissions after unpacking the game to web folder. I'm an idiot :FeelsBadMan:
The game works on Linux / Apache2 just fine.

The images for ch 4 and 5 are free and clear in the cracked download, but you might be a bit disappointed as Palmer has the game structured as Background image with foreground image displayed on top of it. So you get the girl or the background, but not both, and you would have to combine them yourself.
