-> Having something bad happen to the user, in game, if they are using a pirated product. Examples include the chicken gun in Crysis, the invulnerable scorpion in Serious Sam 3, and dying to game piracy in Game Dev Simulator.

The above are the best, because they are the least intrusive, doesn't require always online, and it ensures that the creator gets paid for their work.
Or like the original Armed Assault from way back when, make your gun extremely inaccurate.

What other developers have to do with this is that most people will not support financially, month to month, for non-porn indies. Even as awesome as Rimworld, Tynan didn't expect to succeed at a month to month patreon, hence why he went the Kickstarter route. Its only Porn indies that can expect to be paid month to month, to develop a game over 6+ years to final build state. Sometimes even longer, like Wild Life.

Its often a hard sale to get someone to spend $40 once, on an Indie, and feel like they got their money's worth. For a fully released and feature complete game. Like how many people quibble over Everspace 2's price, but will shell out month to month to support a porn developer. I'm not saying that porn devs don't deserve every penny, but many gamers can be quite petty with forking over money for a one-time fee structure for feature complete games.

---

Well, 1.5 years is accurate. Because before the crack came out, the free version was for Release 8, with the latest at Release 13. With a free release every 3 months, it would take waiting 1.5 years to see Release 13. But by then, any bugs in Release 13 would be fixed, so any feedback would be totally irrelevant, unless you were paying to get access to latest stable releases.

---

There are often ways to prevent trolls and spam bots, that don't require paywalls. Examples I've seen are:

1. Have to wait 24 hours to post.
2. A bot messages you when you join, and have to do a quick captcha.
3. Have to post 10 messages, in general chat, before can post elsewhere.
4. Have to agree to submitting your IP address, so that if you spam stuff, they can easily report you.

---

One mechanic from souls games that people like/hate. Hrmm... those potentially are:

-> Notes (often useless ones)
-> Previous death marks (clicking on it, to get killed by the thing they got killed by)
-> Invasions (hate me those darn invasions, especially as they prevent entering the boss arena and invaders often use glitches and exploits to be uber powerful)
-> Losing your currency and having to retrieve it, to get killed and lose that stuff permanently.
-> Having butt ugly female characters.
-> Install kill fall damage from a short height.
-> Getting backstabbed from a rubber banding when you roll and get backstabbed anyway.
-> Invisible floors in the crystal cavern.
-> Petrification clouds.
-> Ghosts that go through walls and floors and hit hard.

The list goes on...

game just forces u to redress manually, btw redress was buggy in v16 as it doesnt work all v does was to update the ivy protrait at the bottom left hand side of the scene.

guess the fix is not more important BUT online verification is more important... idk this is making me hestitate to support the developer as its still in development and having freeloaders is just free advertisement...

Direct quote from dev:

"in new version v key is disabled"

"v key is removed, but I forgot to remove controls sheet"

I reiterate - it's not a bug to be fixed, but an intentional decision from the dev.

I can already see how this whole thread will go to absolutely hell once that one random ass Zonie comes along, releases a crack for each Version removing the censors and leaves without elaborating.

I'm not kidding, this happened before.
Several times.
Quoting myself because this WILL happen again, it happened for that weird Furry Growth fetish RPG, it will happen here aswell.

It seems like you're the one who's butthurt about it.

Living on 6k a month sucks in other countries, but assuming Devolution is from Poland (from the assets in the game), that's basically what most Polish people need in a year. It's insane, yes, that this game is funded to the fucking sky in comparison to its quality, but at the end of the day Devolution is a solo dev with only an animator to help. I'm no developer, but from what I know, the more people work on something the less of a bottleneck there is on actually creating the product. Looking at indie games, Cry of Fear was developed in 4 years and is a free game. Of course a mod and a full fledged UE5 game are quite different, but it pains me that this game isn't being worked on any faster or better. My standards are so low that I was screaming like a little girl when I saw the intro.

This game is close to my heart and I wish it would get better, but at this pace we're lucky if it reaches 0.2 and not Abandoned.

I played the latest version idk somehow it worked for me and come across new tentacle animation (honestly not what I expected) again another animation with all the way through this time from mouth to ass to pussy lmao not a fan zzz.
other things like graphics seems to be improved, there is new vegetation now which looks gr8, I don't think dev wants to make this game a porn game primarily, it's just a way to make money till u can.

That's what it's supposed to be, since the beginning. The thing everyone fails to realize is that this isn't a porn game but an actual game that just has porn, think Subverse. Not every game here is immediately just serving the purpose of having sexual content in them, there is even a tag for it.

That is one of the stupidest changes I've *ever* seen in gaming. Like, what's even the point? All it does is negatively impact the game. And before some says "but muh immersion", you could've just not used it in the first place. This is the worst change of the update. The online DRM sucks, sure, but I've had zero issues with it so far. Removing a single hotkey can do so much damage when there was literally no reason to remove it.

Because it was there for debugging. Devo put things in for ease early on and now is removing some of those debugging tools for their intended implementation paths.

The game is a lot unrealistic but it's supposed to be at least a "realistic shooter", meaning making things hard for you. I mean the gun mechanics don't have jams, degradation, recoil, damage stun, stamina, and ammo types for no reason.

I guess it was removed because it was causing some bugs while redressing.

I'm not defending the devs by saying this, but you all have to grow up and realise that salaries aren't determined based on work put in.

Amount or quality of work doesn't fucking matter most of the time. What matters is negotiation and job positions in the case of employees, and marketing along with scumminess, uniqueness etc and quality when it comes to product owners.

In short, market value matters, and nothing else. It doesn't matter you or your mother's father's grapndpa works 10 8 hour shifts in half a week in fucking antarctica if the value of their work is tiny.

Eating shit while playing guitar on a skateboard may be hard as hell and quite shitty but that doesn't mean people should pay you well to do it.

As the saying goes, work smart, not hard.

Most cheat codes are there for debugging or testing purposes. Could have left it in as an optional cheat code, to make undressing quick.

Don't worry, even pixel game get his own drama, look about Karryn's prison, it's also a war there
And with UE/Unity game, it's pretty rare when you got some quality, and when you find it... Lot of Drama for some stupid reason
Well this thread in particular gets lots of drama because several people, including myself, have tried to post actual feedback here in this thread to improve the game, and then some moderator comes by and deletes it for being off topic. For three separate builds, I spent about an hour posting feedback and in 2-3 days, it got deleted by a moderator. The only ones not getting deleted is the fanboys trolling forum users, so naturally its going to turn into a toxic hell hole in a hurry.

LMAO, this is not even a complete product, its just a tech demo period, if its one person doing all that work why even bother to include DRM when there is no real game in the first place....

it just shows the greedy mindset of the developer and makes one wonder if there will be a finished product or the developer is just trying to milk this for years without making it a complete playable game and yes you are the reason why there are so many abandon games.
Milking yes. Its why most of the gameplay bugs haven't been addressed. Wouldn't be surprised if its still barely unplayable in 2 years time.

I've played most of the builds, and most of the time need to play with cheats, because the gunplay is not well designed. I'm a veteran FPS player and most of the mechanics are just there to screw with the player rather than add challenge. There is nothing challenging with a gun that jams every 2nd or 3rd bullet. Its just plain frustrating. But with cheats on, even if it jams, hey, I got god mode on so I don't get instant-killed when I try to unjam it. Like sure I've played games with gun jamming, ie AVP Classic 2000, or Fallout 3 (if you fired a gun with 20% or lower durability it would frequently jam) but this game takes it to an unreasonable extreme. Enemies have infinite ammo, are aimbots at a range of 200 meters, and often don't die to a headshot with quality ammo. Like seriously, you stun a Corporate and dump an entire clip of highest quality ammo, with a full composite gun, in their face at point blank range and they don't die. But they look at you and fire once, and you are dead basically.

If the porn wasn't in the game, probably no one would look at Delta Zone, as its just another poorly designed shooter on the market, but people give it a pass because it has porn in it. Like you want another solo developer FPS, that has no porn in it? Go try out the Ghostship games, like the newest one Ghostship Chronicles. At least there the gunplay actually works. But they hardly got any financial interest. Might have gotten some if it had porn in it though.
