Don't want to call anyone specific out but I know this is a blatant lie. I followed the projects of one of the fan translators they stole from. I cannot say for sure they add nothing to it but I know that they have done some scummy stuff.

That's not really convincing, since you seem to have never posted any messages before this one. How about some proof to back up your accusations? Which fan translation for which game did you follow? It's really not hard, show us some side by side screenshots of text from the fan translation and text from the Kagura one, and we can see for ourselves if it's plagerized.

So far in this thread there's been a lot of "I heard someone said" and "I know they are scummy" without any actual proof, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I kind of agree with what you are saying, for games and even anime series that I like I usually end up buying it after the fact and also some merch but the main issue is trying to preach morality in an ADULT GAME PIRATING site isn't really the hill you should die on. Sure a few perverts like myself and others will buy a game we really like, but it won't work for everyone

Is this really the case?

While I do confirm he works for us as a tester, he knows very little about what happens internally before he receives a copy of the game. Everything in this post is based on rumors he heard, with no actual backing.

I can't speak to them outright stealing peoples translations, but I know of at least two translators where they went to them and said:
We've been given an exclusive license to distribute this game in english, and we heard you are translating it. Give us your translation, and stop distributing it, or we'll sue you for infringing on our license.
In both cases this was accompanied by False DMCA takedown notices being sent to their hosting providers.

This never happened. I don't know where this rumor came from, but it is entirely made up, or you're thinking of another company.

I know of another time where a fan translator had started working with the games developer to make an official english translated version of the game, but kagura came in and bullied her out- but kept the translation work she had done up to that point as their own. I don't know the details but she was mighty pissed about it.

Same thing, this never happened. Most of our team used to be fan translators themselves, with roots in ULMF. We would never even consider doing anything as vile as this, when we've been in that position ourselves before.

That is why some of Kagura's translations match nearly word for word with earlier or leaked versions of other folks fan translations.

That's what I KNOW they've done. None of it's illegal, but it's sure as hell unethical.
I've heard rumors of worse, I suspect it's all complete garbage, but it doesn't encourage me to give them money.

None of our translations should match a fan translation. All of our translations have been our own work, barring Alternate Dimansion Diary as I brought up in my previous post.

Unfortunately, negative rumors spread fast and are often taken as fact, but I absolutely guarantee you it is all false. Nothing of what was said has shown any kind of proof.

What's with moral "hurting the industry" crap? You're on a pirate site! Get this through your head. We don't want to buy the game even if it hurts the industry and Japanese devs families die of starvation. If Kagura wants to make more money, they can put up a DRM or something. And if you want to support them, then delete your account as a first step.

Every DRM I've ever seen has been busted.
It's like a bike lock it only deters people but if someone wants it they can get it.

*Edit: I found it. Somehow I never walked past the building with the irate man pounding on the door despite walking past, and using, the sp recharger that's a few buildings down from it.

I'll ignore the drama and just give it to you straight: The game is really really good. I am not through yet not by any means (and happy about that) but just by what I already got this is def worth checking out, especially if you like the escalating corruption structure of games like this (compare to Town of Liz e.g.) or if you like seeing stuff besides gigantic assests on your characters sometimes.

Also the setting isn't as tired as contemporary high school or high fantasy so its aestheticlly pleasing. Map is quick and easy to traverse without feeling small. Mini map is useful. Once you figure out how the progression wants you to go you can advance at a nice pace. Plot and tone are pleasant for a porn game and the art is good. Its just all comes together pretty well. This goes into the good games folder.

don't know about mac, but this runs perfectly on Linux with Wine, it depends on your wine cfg, your wine version and what dlls you have installed, if I remember correctly this one mostly needs DirectX 9 and 11 stuff

The gameplay is actually good, like far better than almost any other rpgm hentai game I've played.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality all in all.
