So Nun-Ya is abit Notorious for reworking rebooting and changing their inprogress works, the first game they finished Summoners Legacy went through 5 different reworks and a project reboot before it was done, Sins Shade and Djinn are all basically the same game in different stages of reworked rebooted and story changes so much so that Ive actually stopped caring about content from this dev.
No, it doesn't. It's entirely accurate. They've only recently begun to diverge from the level of similarity, but not enough.
Not just location assets, but events in locations with the exact same events in the same locations across multiple titles.
That holds true for completed, abandoned and in-progress projects.
Delta, my friend... Yes, this dev is notorious for reworking and rebooting WIP titles as well as just wandering off in the middle of a project. Summoner's Legacy is supposedly complete however I am still plagued with game breaking bugs and errors and still have not been able to complete that play. Djinn has those same kinds of bugs and errors. I wish this dev had the personal wherewithal to stick to a project until it is truly completed, mais non, they wander back and forth with far too many "irons in the fire" and we the players are the ones who get burned. If they would've stuck with fixing Summoner's Legacy until all the bugs were fixed, they would've learned more about how Ren'Py works to allow them to avoid the same errors in Djinn. Instead, Djinn has many of the same errors.
The best working titles by this dev are still the kinetic AVN short stories like, Aleistra and Home Alone. Those titles have no choices so there are no errors in the code. All the other titles that DO have choices are full of errors, glitches and bugs that desperately need fixed before moving on... But, what do they do? They put Djinn "On Hold" and run off to make yet another project that will not likely get finished. I love the kinky stories they tell and the renders and animation are unique and interesting. I like that. The stories are pretty kinky and the characters are sexy and well rendered. But, stick with one project before moving to another and another and now yet another. It's enough to drive one mad if you allow it. But, I just moved both Summoner's Legacy and Djinn off of my active game SSD drive and onto one of my old HDD backup drives just in case but if there is no move to improve these prior titles by mid 2023 I will likely just delete them both, more's the pity. I just won't wait forever. There are far too many other titles to play.
Snugglepuff, my friend... Yes, you are correct. There are huge similarities between the character renders in all of this dev's titles and extremely close parallels between Summoner's Legacy and Djinn. Legacy also draws on Aleistra rather heavily even including portions of Aleistra into the Summoner's Legacy story. Djinn has the connection to the Egyptian goddess Bast aka Bastet who is the daughter of Ra in Egyption mythos whereas Summoner's Legacy and Aleistra access the magical/supernatural side of the story through the Judeo-Christian concept of the devil. However, this devil is the "Queen of Hell" and depicted as a female and a futa in game. All of that makes for interesting story telling to be sure but the similarities remain readily evident to all who take the time to notice. They are essentially the same story told through different characters which have further similarities because of the character cloning across the various titles. I'm not saying that all of the characters are identical, just that there are sufficient doppelgangers across the titles to warrant such a comparison.
Hell... that isn't even mentioning all of the similarities in the world spaces or gameplay. But, I've rambled on enough for today, I think. Hahaha
Hope this helps y'all out, my friends. Have a great day! Adventure ever on, Phat
