I think there might be something bugged with cheat mode function... when you turn it on then off the contacts disappear.
As you play the game characters are 'unlocked' and added to the planner. When you turn on cheat mode, all characters become 'unlocked' but when you turn it off, it will remove all character except those you've 'unlocked' during your play through.
So when you say contacts disappear, is it all contacts disappearing? (Which is a bug I need to fix)
Or is it just the contacts you haven't met in the game? (Which is how it works be design)
I just want to clarify first before I start rooting around in the code.
When Cassie's status changes to lovers her name resets to default "H...something"
This I may need to look into. Added it to the glitch list.
It's like every time I play a new version of this game 90% of the previous version has vanished.
That's weird. Maybe the developer should put a splash screen at the beginning of the game explaining what's going on. And to make sure people see it, maybe he should set it so you have to click the screen three times to make it go away. That'd be pretty slick! OH, and when people start a new game, he can give them a choice to continue and old game or play the new stuff, and if they don't know why that matters, include a dialogue explaining why there is a choice in the first place so that people know the old material hasn't been ported over yet to the new code base.
Ah...what's the bother. People still wouldn't read it if he did...
Nah I played the versions before the first revamp, then the game neared the amount of the old content again and now there's another revamp.
I bet I even missed another revamp.
I think your patch missed the last name of Cassie. Almost all dialogue shows Cassie H...Something by default.
When you attempt to change this via the planner there's no save/exit just loop back to change first and last name.
Edit: Nevermind i'm blind...no really i just didn't see the save option.
The save button wasn't the ideal implementation of that but rollback was acting fucky and crashes were caused if I didn't tell renpy to explicitly save the new variable. I think it has to do with the way the screen language constantly refreshes.
Anyway, from what I'm reading here though it sounds like I could tweak it to make it more visible or clearer.
Damn
RomanHume this was an amazing update! As many have said, the scene(s) with Cassie was incredible!!! You've really set the bar high for your self
Oh, and thanks for this:
When do we get more of that?
First, thank you for the high marks. Second, I KNOW RIGHT? Emily's mom is HAWT!
So I downloaded an played V2.0, but it stops after MC wants to start talking about his work (so pretty much right after the bginning).
Is that correct?
It is if you didn't play v1.1.5 and then follow the new game path that jumps to the new content.
edit: read the changelog. seems like v2 is a sequel to v1.1.5?
You could certainly view it that way. In time I'll get all the old stuff upgraded and imported to work with the new features. But for now this was the best way to get the new content out without making people wait another six months to a year while old stuff was brought up to snuff.
