One of the two games I'm working on will have POV changes to see the story from the perspective of different characters in the core polyamorous network.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the open option was the most popular. It may be a testament to the Dr. Amana players being a bit different from the F95 norm. In a good way, in my opinion. Let's see if it holds.Not going to lie the poll results surprise me so far. Let's go little bunnies.
Since I'm polyamorous in real life, I'm open to such agreements. Still, I've had one wife who still cheated on me and her boyfriend. As far as I know, she's living monogamously on the other side of the Atlantic now.
I tend to prefer open situations in games, too, though they are quite rare.
EDIT: Definitely not a fan of the games where keeping everyone separate and ignorant is like juggling chainsaws.

I think the idea is to have one MC at a time, so once Roger is done, we move on to the next guy, but I could be wrong.

And putting aside my personal preferences for wanting to make more than the $6.50 I made per hour working on this game last month, I don't really care what anyone thinks regarding release dates.
It's my hobby and when I feel like I've made the absolute best thing I can, I'll share it with the world*.
*After I share it with my patrons of course because at the end of the day theirs is the only opinion I care about because they go out of their way to show their love by helping purchase assets and sexy models.
Which is something I want to explore as a story possibility. Roger and Emily having a polyamorous relationship and deal with all the initial complications of it.

I'll add my two cents to the poll, i see multi protags games as an excuse to not add a certain tag.

Based on the wording, answers may not be entirely accurate. Those opposed may be fine with other characters being total whores... just not this character. Jane can take all the cocks she wants, as can most of the other characters. Pass them around like a party favor. For me personally, I'd like to keep both Cassie and Amanda for one MC alone.
That is unless they were doing a... Neighbor's daughter swap night jamboree or something.

Not trying to attack you, you have another job and it takes precedence. But there is likely a correlation between updating once per year and earning 6.50 an hour on the game. It's your project and you can do whatever you want with it. I just raised a valid concern about adding more MC's and more complexity to a project that already suffers time constraints. I like this game, but i don't have much of a say with it anymore for understandable reasons I think. Not trying to be bitter about "WHERES MY UPDATES"

I hear you! I was off for six months on temp disability, but now I'm back to work. Fewer hours in the day to devote to my project. I can retire officially in a few years (unless it turns out I qualify for permanent disability), and once that happens, I'll have more time for my projects while having a basic income coming in. No pressure but what I put on myself.
But of course! Let me know if you need any help with practical experiences, protocols, expectations, and pitfalls. I've been in the community since the 1980s. I love it!
Admittedly, it's a factor in my own choice for multiple points of view. It wasn't going to qualify for the "dreaded tag," but it will hopefully hinder the phobic from declaring it such.
Use of the word "Jamboree," now makes me picture an official Boy Scout event. Wish special merit badges.
I can see that when applied to a standard product or even a film production where one has to depend upon crew and actors. I personally take the view of this being a Visual Novel, and look at it as the author's inspiration. I look forward to seeing Ianvs' inspiration in this direction.
That said, it's one reason I'm working on two stories. The contemporary polyamorous one will be very complex and will be hard to speed through. My steampunk adventure story will be much more straightforward with a single MC chosen by the player and largely independent missions per chapter.
This poll kind of supporting the view that all those people crying about NTR in every god damn game is a vocal minority. Figures, since I can recognize the dozen or so names that always pull this shit.
To be fair, the game does have toggleable NTR, futa and whatever, so the players visiting this thread might already be of the open minded and tolerant sort.
Anyways, if the plan is for us to play different MCs from Dr. Amana's patient list, I'd be all for recurring characters and cameos. If you want to do something really complex, you can even make events that intersect between the MCs' timelines. Choices from one story could affect their character in another MC's POV. The most complex way would be to allow the player to play any MC's storyline whenever they want. What a coding nightmare lol.
Or... were we talking about a different game that will come after DAST is done?
edit: Oh, but I do worry about the scope of the game and more importantly, the developmental process. It would be best to just finish Roger's storyline first and foremost before doing anything else. At least for the players like us that need to play this in an incremental way.

Games with multiple protagonists just don't work for me (exception being Yakuza 0).
Even a sequel with a new protagonist that has a cameo from the old protagonist turn me off because I know my boy is still out there in universe while I'm with this new guy.
