You are mistaking realism with pessimism. The reality is the dev hasn't released any sort of content in 8 months. For most games, that means it's dead, regardless of whether or not the dev pops by once in a while to say it's not.

I understand everyone's concerns and worry about the game dying but honestly, I have no plans to stop working on the game. While the amount of time I have to work on the game is much less then it was over the last couple of years when I made the original and the beginnings of this game, I still enjoy spending working it. Of course I'd like to have more frequent updates to keep everyone engaged, and that's something I will work on in the future to prevent such a large gap between updates again.

In terms of what to expect in the next update, these are the goals I'm working towards:

I've got a question, it's prob my bad reading comprehension skill's fault, but, from what I understand, you'll add 1 more monster and trap for rank 1, making them 4 monsters/traps in total for rank 1. And rank 2 will have 4 new monsters/traps. Being 8 of each in total at least for now.
My question is, how many rooms will be able to unlock upon unlocking rank 2? Dungeon and slave wise?

The plan right now is each rank will give you two additional rooms to unlock.

Tools to make creating them easier, resizing images, ect. so you don't have to worry about changing existing packs too much. The only thing you might have to do is add new images if new positions or other image type folders are implemented in the game.

In terms of slave packs, will the image limit still be 5 images per 'position'? Same limitations as well (600x850)? I'm going to start looking for images to put together packs and am wondering how many I should be looking for and if I should crop them in advance. Thanks!

The goal is to remove the limit for each folder. The size of the image is more of a recommendation so it looks decent when displayed in-game.
