You go around doing other people's jobs for them, do you?

I agree that explanations and excuses are two different things, so I am not sure why you and Skummy are mixing them up.
They said offer assistance, meaning either offer your services for payment. They didn't say just do it for free, no need to get hostile.

I am wondering why your on this thread cause every message from you I've seen has been negative. First you complained that you don't want dungeon content cause you don't like it, then you start sniping at Skummy. I don't get the attitude unless your just trying to get a reaction.

Going by the view that you haven't ever been a pateon/subscriber then what business is it of yours to keep stomping your feet, getting hostile and generally being belligerent to anyone who isn't siding with your complaints. Why not just leave if all this is that infuriating/bad?

Going by the view that you were a patreon/subscriber that stopped paying then good for you, I did the same a while back for financial reasons but why stick around and get hostile to those who haven't given up? You'll have made you choice so let others make theirs.

Either way just walk away and if it is abandoned or it's proven BlueCat is milking it then you can feel smug/satisfied that you were right without trying to get a negative reaction from the others in this thread.

FALSE! Bluecat hates hugs and being touched in general :)

I'm here to be of assistance, giving you news, trying to keep the peace. I have not made excuses for Bluecat, what you call excuses I call explanations. What I have done is defend him against unfair criticisms that he is scamming people, or being fraudulent in any way shape or form. I know Bluecat fucked himself into a corner, I know they bit off more than they could possibly chew, I know they are inexperienced first timers and are just trying not to drown through all this. I am also impatient and want this to be over so I can have fun god dammit, but trying to stay chill.

I'll leave it at that, chewing every naysayer out will wear out my jaw faster than Mika handling Matsu, back to the question! :3
Fair enough you are giving explanations on a pirate site and that's more than enough people can ask for
cause this is again pirate site.

Only from peoples perspective and common logic explanation is usually valid for say a month, 2, 3, 4 or even 5 months stretch.

But when the game is entering its 8th month without proper update there is no possible explanation since now you have entered ICSTOR territory known for milking people without giving flying f. That's why more and more people are finding hard to swallow
anything that you serve as "explanation" for 8 months of nothing.

I dont mean to sound overly harsh since you are not the developer just some view on making excuses, sorry "explanations" for him.

You are doing best YOU can.

Thank you.

Then you'd have other people constantly complaining the game is buggy, how lazy the dev team is for not fixing it and they'd rather have no game for a while than a buggy mess.
And I'm sure most people would pay attention to that for the couple minutes it takes to download the next update and get ready to play it. Then think to themselves, "Gee, glad this didn't hit a wall for 3/4 of a year. I'll take some bugs if it means a decent release schedule. Hee hee, Himiko, you so Yandere."

It is what it is, guys. I can certainly sympathize with those that are impatient, I have been myself lots of times, mostly because of lack of specific information from the dev as to what is really going on, but there is no sense taking it out on Skummy. If he wasn't around here, none of us would have any information at all.

I too wish Bluecat would give occasional updates with some concrete information, at least on his Patreon, but he doesn't want to. That is just the way it is. That is the kind of developer he is, and all the annoyed comments in the world here, which he never reads, won't change that.

There aren't a lot of facts, but from what I have gathered here, Bluecat is waiting for someone else, whoever they are, since Bluecat doesn't know how to program himself, to probably do some sort of programming task, which none of us understand, and those of us that are actual programmers, can't fathom why it is taking a year. Someday it will be released, or not, and it will contain no new content at all. At that point, probably, Bluecat will decide to start to work on the game again, and probably work on the next update, writing dialog and posing scenes. Many months later, we will probably get some new content. Whether there is more "merging" in the future, who knows. Whether this will take 2 more months, or another year, nobody knows, and nobody is saying.

There is really no point in complaining about it, or giving Skummy a hard time, because he is just the messenger.

According to Bluecat's last progress update the content for the next 2 releases has already been prepared and just needs coding. There will be another merge but there shouldn't be anywhere near as much work to do once the Month 1 merge sets up the foundation, and the second merge won't be for a long time even with monthly updates. Now that the dev is back on the team I can't imagine it taking another year. Hopefully another month, maybe another 3. If it takes longer than that then I will accept that the game is truly in dire condition. As is, we got a Halloween update (which is normal) and a dev team member got sick during a pandemic. It really hasn't been so long that people need to be this worked up over it.

PS Bluecat has been doing progress updates every 2 months this year. If the trend holds there'll be a new patreon post on the 13th. So anybody who whines for now can just unbunch their panties and wait a week to see if there's any news.

Note to others, when people refuse to accept reality because they are being immature trolls, click on the ignore button you can reach on their names, it will save you your sanity if you just cut that cancer out quickly :)

If anyone has an issue with what I'm doing, keep it to yourself, cause I don't give a flying fuck and I really don't have to. I'll be back when I think of a question.

Lets get back to talking about the fun bits of Ecchi Sensei, instead of focusing in on delays.
Imagine being this upset. If you don't like people criticizing a scammer why don't you leave this site and stay on his discord to kiss his ass with all the other simps ?

Tbh this threads just disrespectful. I think seeing someone call other people 'cancer' for being annoyed at this situation is the worst thing I've seen on here

FYI, half a year overdue is a long time. To put it into perspective, if you're given a project by your manager in any form of job, and fail to complete it 6 months after the deadline, you'd have been fired and jobless for the past 6 months. We all know it's 'laying the foundations'. So it isn't a 'buggy mess'. We've seen the same lines since last year. People have the right to be annoyed when something they've paid for becomes whatever this is, a waste of time? It feels like it

But I'm sure a patreon post behind a paywall that repeats itself like in the 5 previous posts will change everything

Anyways, most the people who used to feel the same don't even follow this game anymore. People like you might just push even more away, so congrats. You're doing a great job

I just don't understand why he decides to go radio silent for so long. I genuinely feel like he only makes patreon posts now to avoid ES getting the "abandoned" tag.
It would take him maybe 5 minutes in a week to write us a small progress update, like "Hey, so far I estimate we're xx% done with the merge, and xx% done with the things surrounding it, in the meantime I've been working on animations/renders for day xx/xx and the script for those days has already been completed. Hope u guys stick with us for a little while longer, and thanks for all the support on the game/merge so far"
I guarantee if he did a weekly post with something among those lines, he wouldn't be BLEEDING patreons like he his now. The number is only continuously going down, down and further down.

Yeah, I agree that something that small would be great. Everyone on Discord says look at the gitlab notifications, but that doesn't give any real idea of how much progress is being made. I haven't dropped them yet, because I told myself I would give them 1 year from the announcement of the Month 1 merge to complete it. So, basically if they do have a solid release date for Month 1 before this month ends, I will be one of the many who will move on. And honestly, right now, I am not holding out much hope for that. I may come back if development starts again, but I am not sure. I would need to see some evidence that Blue has learned from the mistakes of this merge, because if your whole project hinges on one person that is just a recipe for something to go wrong. The evidence speaks for itself. Anyways, we will see what happens, and for those of you that stick around, I do hope the payoff is worth it.

Can only patrons see the gitlab work or can you or someone else provide the link to the gitlab?

I agree completely. Progress updates should be at least monthly when a project is delayed. Bluecat could have, and should have, easily done quick posts on Patreon and/or discord so people have a better idea of what's going on. Especially after the sick dev came back when there's going to be actual progress to report. I get doing them less often when there's no news, but I don't thing Bluecat made the right decision by doing so. I'm just sick of half my notifications for this thread being people whining about how late the game is, many lying about how late updates are by saying it's been over a year. These are people who want something to bitch about and decided a porn game they download free from a pirate site was the easiest target.

Have you paid attention to any entertainment medium ever? Games, movies, and books are delayed by months or years all the damn time. When games aren't delayed they're often forced to release too early by production companies and come out a buggy mess. 6 months for a small indie project where a key member GOT SICK DURING A GODDAMN PANDEMIC is nothing. But if being told to wait a week before you continue complaining causes you to stop playing, then good riddance. If you don't like the delay or you don't think the game will continue you're free to walk away at any time. The patreon posts and information from the discord get shared here plenty. The only reason it's hard to find is because people like you flood the thread.

Well, that is encouraging to hear. This is the first I have heard since November that any content whatsoever has been developed since Halloween. Thanks for sharing.

I said the same things as you 6 months ago. Which is exactly why I know it's a lie
They were 'close to finishing it' in January. And then one team member got sick. They recovered ages ago. And then suddenly, more work appeared out of nowhere, so it turns out they were never close to finishing it. They refuse to hire someone else to finish the work, and can't even communicate except for bi monthly posts behind a paywall. And Skummy is not on the dev team. It shows a clear lack of respect
So how many excuses do they need to slap you with before you finally wake up? Clearly a lot
I'll say it clearly, patronizing people who have paid for this, is the dumbest thing you could possibly do. I haven't bothered to respond here for ages. But your ignorance grossed me out

I don't want to get into this, nor do I know what they got sick with but it's my understanding they've been well for a while now back when it was 'almost' complete in January. That aside, the pandemic has actually little effect on games like this because I'm sure they're all (outside like rare, 'AAA' style games straight to steam) working from home anyway so it really has little to no effect on production.

Is there any sign of android ports with the dark mind patch?
Love the games but much prefer playing them on my phone

Well, the issue isn't whether the game is actually on hold or not. By F95 rules, if the dev communicates once every 3 months and does not publicly say the game is on hold, it won't get the on-hold tag. Since Skummy says there is work on the game, and Bluecat posts an update every 2 months saying "things are happening", than it will never go on hold.

Besides, I think work is happening, just based on Skummy's comments and what he told us about the gitlab updates. I wish there would be a target date for the update, even if it was 4 months from now, so we could have something specific to look forward to, but since I am not a patron (of this game), that is just one person's opinion.

Anyway, I know it is an old question, but I would love to see a threesome with Masai and Sloth Chan. Both characters have been pretty neglected as far as excitement goes, so I would love to see more action with those two.
