Who cares at this point.

And I'm not even talking about lack of updates, but the direction in general.

Remember how in the beginning there was this overarching plot about suspended girls and the previous teacher and all the implications of some shady stuff and hidden power struggles between various groups?
And notice how last couple of days it's just: sensei approaches some girls, talks about some bullshit, makes plans for future meeting, things get sexual, repeat.

If you're still holding out hope for this project maybe take a step back and consider if it not just sunk-cost fallacy talking.
for me specifically ES is the game that first inspired my love of independent porn games, compared to modern standers its a bit shit and the MC is a massive mery sue, but ES is charming in its own unique way or was at lest, but at this point most of us here have turned the f95 forum into its own meta game, sitting in the peanut gallery and commenting and observing the latest "updates" to the game and the clown world logic some of its most ardent defenders have, then they come up in here to "dab on the haters with facts and logic." and thats always a riot, the ES forum has been the most entertaining thing on f95 beyond some of the games linked too and is what keeps me coming back every few days, its long since transcended the game its about. I don't think most any of us left expect or really care much if an update comes out we have developed our own sense of comradery around the cats BS and its cathartic in its own way.

I've felt for a while that Blue Cat had different plans in the beginning about where that would go but changed them in response to fan feedback. I'm still convinced that many of the students were supposed to have some kind of powers originally, all of the suspended students and some of the non-suspended, and the suspensions and shady stuff were going to be tied to that. Fuyu would have actually been psychic, the cat girls were real cat girls, and so on. But I remember early on a lot of people didn't want the game to go in that direction, so Blue Cat panicked and changed course.

This project was way to ambitious, I mean look at the staggering number of girls in the first place. To do all this content for all these girls, anyone would get bored of it imo.

I feel like the dev should have stuck with a much smaller cast of characters imo.

Sad to see this get abandoned though.

The original cast was smaller but Bluecat had dollar bills in his eyes, or Euros since he is Austrian, and decided to add the $100 and $250 tiers that would allow people to create their own character to be put into the game.

That is why the game is bloated with characters that have very little screen time and add nothing to the game when they do show up. They are only there to give some moron the illusion that their character matters while Bluecat laughs all the way to the bank.

In short who don't want to read 500 pages: BC is typical scammer/milker, he gained most of subscribers from this site, got money and then almost stopped doing anything after 2nd merge, gone from here to discord when saw that f95zone ppl stopped believe in his lies but left here some suspicious PR guy that reported to moderators all negative info about the game development process so most of posts was deleted and keep spreading lies that game is actively developed and would be released very soon but there were always excuses why it was delayed. Also here abused abandonment rule many times just posting news on patreon few days before the deserved tag. After finally game was finally marked abandoned (I've stated it about 2 years ago) he fastly (after 1-2 month) released update to abuse the rule again but this time it didn't worked coz nobody (except discord fanboys maybe) believed him again this time. So for now (correct me if I wrong) he hired some new guy that doing for him almost all coding (just to merge previous game days together) job and he keeps milking about 300 (from patreon, maybe he have 'em from other sites too) loyal bakers and post some useless non revelant crap in his discord.

Thats normal. A lot of developers get popular here, gain support, then flee to Discord or Patreon while ignoring this site. They don't give a shit about pirates because we don't give them money.

In the July post in 2022, Bluecat said (take those words with a supertaker worth of salt) that he had taken the helm and is now working on the merge himself. Latecomer, the super coder/project manager/main translator did jack shit for 2 years while stringing people along while milking people. Now Bluecat is doing jack shit while stringing people along while milking people. The student has become the master.

loyal bakers
Loyal to cakes? Or cookies? Maybe a nice creme brulee? I know its backers. I just wanted to make a joke.

The mods really need to make a note on the front page of the thread that says "This developer is milking. Please support at your own risk."

Ah, sad to see this one go this direction. I put it down for a few years hoping to go a full game eventually. This is a cautionary tale to all devleopers who do not have most, if not all, of a story down first. Gets too mired in the much,

They don't give a shit about pirates because we don't give them money.
I don't give them money because they post a bunch of blueball updates, get my hopes up, then abandon the moment I send so much as a single dollar in their direction. I'll pay money when I actually get something for it, and let's be very real here. Most games/devs that get on this site do NOT deliver and then many of the ones that DO deliver, fuck off the moment the money hits a certain level because that's all they wanted. They think they'll milk cash forever, and it'll disappear if they finish their games except that's not how it works. We fuck off when the updates fuck off, and if they finish a game they can just make a fucking new one and we'll still pay because they actually deliver the goods.

Hell, even the people who actually pay have to pirate because of how many games put core content behind 10, 15, 20 dollar tier rewards. Per month. 10+ dollars per MONTH for an unfinished game that will take over a year to complete. Yeah, no. I can get completed games for 10 or 20 bucks. I can get major releases for cheaper than supporting a lot of these projects. So why should individual people be expected to keep shelling out monthly after they already stuck five, ten, twenty bucks in the cookie jar when it's not even done all the way? Lot of times it's even more shameless than overpromising kickstarters.

Who knows guys, maybe this dev will go the way of of Naykid (develops now Lustful Instincts, formerly Primal Desires) and decides to remake the game under new graphics (apparently not the first time Naykid has done this?) and we'll get that before we ever get an official merge.

That's like comparing the OCD kid in the sandbox, who likes to kill ants with a magnifying glass, (Naykid), to Hitler (BC), in terms of murdering their fans hopes and dreams.
Why would Hitler want to become the kid in the sandbox, when he is already a legend?

Did you by chance throw money at Sylphine, WVM, or Offcuts? If so, I'd like to have a word with you in this dark alley over here.

Most games/devs that get on this site do NOT deliver and then many of the ones that DO deliver, fuck off the moment the money hits a certain level because that's all they wanted.
Developer of Unleashed and the developer of Sylphine spring to mind immediately when I read that.

Unleashed developer made a few hundred per month and the updates were consistent. Once he hit around 900 per month, every single release date was delayed at the minimum 6 times and a year past the original release date. Never stopped the per month payments. He keeps making release dates but still has not kept one. Think we are now up to 7. Wanna see how long this can go.

The developer of Sylphine has had a different medical excuse each and every month for almost 2 years. Never stopped those payments. Before the money got to where he wanted it the updates were pretty consistent. He doesn't even give release dates. He just gives a medical problem at the beginning of each month then fucks off until the next month.

Bluecat tried to do it but I guess his supporters were wiser. Seeing how most have fled. Guess those former supporters found something better, like almost anything else.

They think they'll milk cash forever, and it'll disappear if they finish their games except that's not how it works.
That is true. Since I've been here since 2017, not my main account, I've seen lots of developers worry about finishing their game and having their patrons jump ship so they either make a second game to draw in more people and make the first game take longer, or they draw out the game with needless and filler updates until it becomes so boring that people jump ship anyway.

10+ dollars per MONTH for an unfinished game that will take over a year to complete. Yeah, no. I can get completed games for 10 or 20 bucks.
I bought The Witcher 3 complete edition on Ps4 in 2021 for $9.99. I spent close to 200 hours in it and still had not finished the game. Why the fuck would someone pay 10 per month for 2 years for 1 update that lasted maybe an hour?

If you have spent hundreds without getting anything, you are no longer supporting the development of the game, you are supporting the developer so he can pay his bills for all the stuff he bought with your money.

So why should individual people be expected to keep shelling out monthly after they already stuck five, ten, twenty bucks in the cookie jar when it's not even done all the way?
The people that keep supporting Bluecat are not doing it because Bluecat gives out great updates or because of his hilarious posts on discord about banning people that call him out on his bullshit. Its simple for why they stay. Sunk-cost fallacy. They have sunk hundreds into it and now they think that they have to see it through to the end. The best example of sunk-cost is you buy a movie ticket, go sit down, about 30 minutes into the movie you see that it sucks, but you payed for the ticket so you might as well stay.

That is why people are still paying. They've payed this much they might as well stay till the end of the movie.
