No new excuses or anything. Couple months ago bc gave latecomer an ultimatum with an absolute deadline that expires at the end of this month. I'd say check in early january to see the results of that

In addition to what AnimeKing said, if Latecomer fails to deliver by the end of the year, there is a less than ideal back up plan, that I think will be releasing the merge in an incomplete state and coming back to it later. I'm not 100% certain on that last part though, as they don't want to say what that last resort plan is.

Just my 2 cents, but if the merge doesn't happen by the deadline, I would just say forget about it, and release a new chapter with new content. Who really cares if it is one release or several chapters?
Just release Ecchi Sensei Chapter 2, with whatever content Bluecat has been working on all this time, and just keep adding to it every few months without bothering to merge anything with existing content. If some great programmer wants to merge everything later, and while Bluecat keeps releasing new content, in parallel, rather than have everything come to a standstill, they can surprise everyone with an actual merge in another 6 months to a year. But since we will all be getting regular new content, few will care either way.

Sooo, I just played weeks 1-3, and I have some questions... Why such a major tonal shift between weeks 1&2 and week 3? What I mean is, MC during weeks 1&2 seems to be a good dad and teacher(incest not withstanding) and honestly seems to care about others save for his lapse into darkness when it comes to the nurse(love her crazy ass) and that thicc girl, but week 3 MC is so tonally Changed, he's less caring about his daughters lives outside of sex and even treats students like shit(poor bathroom girl, she just wanted a kiss), he seems like a completely different person in week 3, and I know it isn't just supperfical and he was hiding this attitude because you can litterally see his thoughts and even they went from caring about people to "I'll use them as I please", with the exeption of Tomoe and Fuyu who he still treats like real ladies for the most part....did they get a new writer for week 3 or something?

Ah, see that explains so much about that moment given how disjointed it felt lol, I don't have any screen shots(also to lazy to go back and get some lol) but an example of his change would be the way he views lilith(?) the 2nd dancer girl, his inner monolog was basicly "I can't wait to play with this one" even though she didn't like him, in week 1&2 if someone didn't like him he was polite but just called her a bitch mentally, he didn't get all rapey on them, also the way he thinks about sloth-chan when he brings her home in week2 vs' week3 is way diffrent, week 3 being way rapeyer than before(i get it sloth-chan is hot but damn bro calm your jimmies), I don't think I would have noticed the major shift if I hadn't played 1-3 back to back, but its kinda jarring given that I did, when playing 1-2 I saw people here say he seems like a narcasitic asshole and I didn't get it because he seemed nice for the most part(nurse and thicc girl not withstanding) then week 3 happened and I understood lol he feels way different tonally, the best way I could put it is in weeks 1-2 he would stare at a girls tits and try to fight it and if cought he'd say sorry(and seem to mean it... mostly) but in week 3 he's just full on "mmm me wanna rapey the boobies" get cought and apologize but still be thinking "me gonna rapey boobies". not the best way to explain it, but I feel like some people might understand what I mean.

the big problem is that all T8 characters are at risk of no longer appearing in the game when the T8 Patreon stops supporting at the T8 level.
Ehhhh more like lack of focus on them due to lack of patronage, they aren't dropped per se, but more important shit is instead focused on that is relevant y'see.
Anyways, on the matter of the tonal shift, there is no new writer, that's just the story progression as the more superficially nice bits begin to fall away and more of the real MC comes out. His kindness and politeness become more nuanced, and as its shown that he can have whatever he wants more and more, he continues to grow bolder. Sure he's still nice and shit, still a professional, but now he's letting himself relax into a rhythm of getitng what he wants, when he wants it.

Can't help with that, but I suggested waiting until the end of the month. The Month 1 merge is supposed to be out by then, which will be a lot smaller than just the current release of Week 1. The new release will be breaking saves, so that's also worth considering.

Bluecat should lowkey release an build of the current state of the game, call it alpha whatever, just to show something on how far they are considering they've been working on it for over a year.
