So I guess the past 18 months hasn't happened, the games still in active development. We've all just imagined the fact that bluecats taken a year and a half long holiday

It's less "requirement nerds" and more "either do something about it or shut fuck out about it nerds".

I personally couldn't care less what it gets tagged as. It doesn't even matter. I'm just sick it of seeing the same shit over and over again. It's boring.

If you want this game tagged as "On Hold" or "Abandoned", there are some very clear things you can do to potentially make that happen, but none of you have the balls to follow through on anything beyond whining about it.

I think a reasonable change to the rules though would be if a dev fails to keep their previous release schedule for an extended period of time (like this game is in) it should be eligible for the on hold / troubled development, etc tag.

You're probably right, but until people actually approach the mods about it, nothings going to change.

sadly that have up and downs if u let the comunity vote, i agree on a abbandonded tag or limbo tag.
But many trolls will join in and then the vote is just furstration and irritation etc.

But for me this game is in limbo until i see proof of a merch new release or other shit that is content.

Even if the game doesn't get the abandoned tag, I think it won't take that much time until it's dead. The game in the last year has lost 25% of it's patrons and the revenue dropped by 39%.

I mean, it's no surprise really. Consider that it has been more than a year since the last update and that the next version will be nothing but a merger of the previous single week versions, there is just no acceptable excuse for the long wait.
If I was a patron of this game, I would probably feel pretty stupid for paying month after month for nothing by now. That's just me, of course, others might be so dedicated to the game that they don't care or have so much money to burn that their contribution to bluecat's patreon doesn't matter.

It's impractical, it will be huge in size and frankly this is something to think about once you have finished the game, but not now.
As others have pointed out, the chances that this game was ever gonna reach 365 days was so ridiculously small to begin with and if it continued in this tempo it would be finished in about 30 years or so?
I can't even imagine what games will be like then.
Why did no one in the team go and tell bluecat "dude, go for a realistic goal and make a chapter spanning two to three months in game, if we finish that, we can just go and add more chapters, don't plan for 365 days, because this will never work."
To be honest, he should have known that himself, but still... seems a bit like those families of casting show candidates who never tell them they can't really sing for shit.

The actual merge isn't the point. At least not the main point. The current release is a janky mess of spaghetti code. The merge is supposed to be fixing that, so it came be the foundation of all future content. If they just kept building on top of the shitty foundation, it would have resulted in jank just piling up over time and all these needing to happen later, but probably worse.

Don't get me wrong, it's embarrassing that they still have nothing to show for it after all this time. This was the right decision though. It needed to be done.

Could be. It was so fucking long ago, that I honestly don't remember. I mean, there were times I actually forgot this game even existed. Gotta say though, even if, 14 months would still be a way too long time. Especially considering how fast the development used to be at the start.

Sounds like this Dev needs to take a lesson from Dark Cookie. Both have basically been working on tech updates for a very extended period of time. Difference is, Dark Cookie regularly communicates with patrons and throws them a scene or 2 every 6 months. It's why he still makes the big bucks in spite of basically releasing less than an hour of content over the past 2 years.

This is the problem with so many complaining in the thread and calling Bluecat a scammer, people are now genuinely misinformed. The merger was never about putting all 3 weeks into one download, that was just an added perk to doing it. The point of the merger was to fix the many broken mechanics of the game and set up a solid foundation for future updates so that choices could actually matter. Right now your choices don't mean shit for subsequent releases, and there's the looming threat of features like the phone causing game breaking bugs.

Updates were still in days, they just merged them into a week as they went. For example, Week 3 released as 15-16 first, then 15-18 and so on. If we do eventually get new content, the next update will be days 22 and 23.
But yeah, something is going very wrong, and BlueCat should do a better job keeping at least his Patrons informed.
This was unfortunately a player choice though. BC put it to a vote, and his Patrons chose this shitshow.

The merge was sold as being done quickly and that it would make future updates faster (ha). If people vote to pet cute dogs and then get wild wolves unleashed on them instead, the false advertising isn't on the voters.

There just needs to be another tag for situations like this. Something in-between "On Hold" and "Abandoned". Maybe "Pending" or "Suspended" development. Which would mean that it's technically being worked on, but on a very slow pace for an extended time. There are probably better words for that, but those are the two I thought of first.

That assumes they set up the vote knowing it would take over a year, which would be a genius con, if true. I'm not convinced the devs are geniuses though.

Even though 14 months without an update is unacceptable, I don't think they are purposely trying to scam their supporters. If this was an Icstor situation where you don't deliver anything for a year and the support for the game stays the same, I would be more inclined to think that they are milking their fans. But Bluecat lost a lot of patrons in the last year, I don't think someone in such a privileged position, would be dumb enough to just sit back and watch what they built slowly going to shit. But maybe I'm just being naive.

I thought the cheating tag was for other women cheating on their partners with MC. Is the only way for him to have sex outside of home to cheat on a loving and devoted wife? That's kind of horrible.
I was hoping she would be like the wife in What's Mine is Yours, and basically a Cuck Queen. Is she not a partner to his perversion, but a victim instead? What sadistic evil that would be!

Why would they do that? They've already made a content merge that most likely is better.

Another positive news to address is the integration of all previous Ecchi Sensei releases into one large all-encompassing version. This happened with almost no error messages. (There were around 2000 merge conflicts, which were resolved independently thanks to our good preparatory work.)

That is not the issue. They are also trying to re-code alot of the game functions as well as adding more features. I suspect they ran into some problems trying to implement their new save system.

Currently the wife is completely clueless about MC cheating. Considering the nature of the game she will probably give her blessing when she finds out, after some dramatic hemming and hawing, but until then MC is the cheater. If you want a Cuck Queen then Midlife Crisis has what you're looking for.
