Was suitably surprised when the update popped up, as I'm sure everyone was, so then I realised I had zero clue wtf what happened last time I played and what the hell save I should be using.

So I go through all the hassle of getting week 1&2 working again and skim through all over again, finally reaching week 3.
At this point it comes down to a pain of downloading a playing small chunks of game (some of which may or may not be linked?) and think fuck this shit I'll just wait for the full week 3.

And the irony here is that I now remember that this was the exact same decision I'd made 2 years ago ... that I'd wait for the full week 3 before continuing ... so I've just literally done the exact thing I did 2 years ago without any step forward


P.S. Is the 20-21 download actually week 3, or is it really only days 20 & 21?

The dark mind patch is compatible with the earlier episodes? If no do I have to look for other patches or are there already included in the files of the previous episodes?

Isn't there a full download of week 3 (days 15-21)? Then you download 22 - 23? I still haven't played the update but are the previous save compatible, I saw report of numerous bug and don't know what is exactly the state of the update.

I always remember it fondly and always have special place in my heart

After playing a shitton other games past 2-3years and comeback to this with new update, I can only see the bads with this game

OK model, crap others (Music, sfx, plot, jankyness)

This update sucks. I think most of team run away from project, no updates with daughters, poorly scenes, empty renders. Smell fishy

I don't care about galleries though, so I don't even understand the distinction he makes between the "Gallery" and the "Scene Gallery".

"gallery" for a collection of extra pictures not in the game that you usually earn or find in game in some way
(Frankly a waste of dev time and energy and always stupid; I'm looking at you MRDotz)
"scene gallery" what everyone really want when they ask for a galley, a collection of all of the sex scenes in the game so that one can view them without replaying the whole game
(really just exists so that people can install a mod to unlock everything and see what they may have missed.)

Uploadhaven you need to wait till the 15 sec countdown then click on it and it should start the download, if anything else happens then you have a virus on your computer that is redirecting you to more virus's.

Yeah this doesn't feel like a final version at all...

Another bad thing : the character stats
This is disabled in game but I was curious so I check : the variables are still updated, but the result is meh.
I tried with a save or a fresh game. For example this is before and after sex with wife :


(For clarification : the value is now a string "+1" instead of a counter)

Not very good, I fear that may mean a replay of this update in the future (or a disappearence of this feature)

LabRats2 is pretty good once you get the mechanics going
Degrees of Lewdity is the single best and almost only text based/minimal graphic Hgame I play
Harem Hotel & Public Sex Life were two of this first games I got into on this site.

A sandbox isn't inherently bad, an empty sandbox is bad, and thus when you look at a sandbox early in development it seems bad, but you can only really tell if it will be bad once there is enough content.

Like, especially if they have one of those "everyone moves around all day and different events will trigger at each time/location"
gimicks, as long as there are enough interactions that you can hit "something" at almost any given location, you won't care that you didn't hit a specific thing. Granted with a linear story you will always hit the eventuality of "I'm looking for this very specific interaction" so in-game guides are also usually a must.
