I'm like day 3 or 4 into week 1 and so far the game feels like someone played Waifu Academy and tried copying it without having any idea what made Waifu Academy actually enjoyable, it also looks worse.

But I'm only at week 1 so does it get any better?

Why do I have a very,very nagging suspicion that the way turgsh01 describes it is exactly how the video will be. A pity video showing the entire world how immensly boring and hard and lifedraining programming is. And that he has been doing that for years without result, suffering for us?

But hey let's see who buys into that. Always handy to know who has more money than brains for whenever I need extra cash.

Real question for the supporters: What do you still hope to get by supporting him? and by what date?

Aside from the game files getting compressed a lot better, no. The story overall is kind of lame IMO. I only read through to the end because a few of the characters were interesting and I guess hot (even though some of the most interesting ones never got lewded out at all and others barely any).

Man just gave himself way too much work with the cast.
You can't make 50 fucking characters and give them enough attention. You just can't. A TON of them are going to get like half a scene or none at all.

You'd need an entire-ass competent team behind that.

Blame his greed and the morons that believed him. He made the $100 tier to allow people to make their own character. If he would have stuck to around 10 and not done the create a character then it'd be less hassle.

Now you have to wonder about those same characters. Will they still have screen time albeit at a significantly reduced screen time, or will they be tossed to the side and discarded because those people stopped paying?

I think Waifu Academy is a boring slog, and the lewds put me to sleep, so I'm probably not the best to reply, but I liked this game much better. It's pretty depraved, and not very good at all without the DM patch, but I like that the hero is really a villain in disguise.

The first thing bluecat does is scapegoat latecomer, and I expected nothing less.

Is latecomer confirmed off the project now then?

Also on that video.. I expect if he does make it (he probably won't) it will just make his public image even worse honestly. If he tries to show how much of a "slog" it is then he may open himself up for bad practices that encapsulates that and might make it look even worse lol.

The fact of the matter is this:
It doesn't take 2+ years to merge month 1, It doesn't even take multiple months on a majority done scale.
Fixing existing systems for month 1 (phone, or calendar or whatever) shouldn't take many months.
He already plans to have a different game style post month 1 that's more open world choose where you go.
Based on the above, month 1 does not need a new save system and instead should just import the save into the post-month 1 system since I bet it's already planned to somewhat function this way anyway, post month-1 content will not be included in an updated month-1 game.
He created a poorly thought out plan for month 1 merge and is still executing that flawed plan.

Wait is that true, what a Muppet. I was wondering why he'd like 50 fucking characters, he could have as much just had 5/6 students and his family (because let's be honest half those characters are forgettable as fuck). How could you not have the foresight to see how an over saturation of characters leaves you with a game that's wide as an ocean but deep as a puddle.

yup its why the character roster in this game is bloated to hell, and you have many 1 off scenes with characters cus of it.

As da boss, BC made his bed and ought to eat it. But at the same time latecomer deserves a lot of flak IMO. Everything I read from him regarding the development of ES - I went out of my way to find everything I could - indicated he was in way over his head and either in denial or taking advantage of BC's kindness/indifference/whatever.

Hell, he even insisted that a complete re-release of the initially botched Week 1 merge qualified as a "hotfix". I'm gonna go to my grave smh at that. If I had been aware at that time that he was the "code manager" I would have been wary of the game's future much earlier...

Gladly, our foundaition will get strong enough after month 1 which means no big merge is required for a very long time. The next big merge I plan is in the year 2023. So over the next two years we focus on producing new content like we did before.

I'll always find jollies reading the civil war that went on in this the thread when people slowly started to realise BC was full of shit and you had people in denial arguing that BC was still "working hard" to get the Month 1 Merge.

Its shocking that we've had 1 update in 2 years and people still give BC money.
