It's heavily inspired, yes. The developer said so multiple times.
The characters, situations, writing, and art-style are all original though, so calling it a copy doesn't really bring it justice.
Yes and the thing which make a huge difference is the fact that Estate Dominate has a build-up

I mean, to basically everyone that doesn't understand law would fall for this, so it does make sense. Questioning this saying that "doesn't make sense" for plot reason in a PORN GAME in a site that 90% of the games are summarize in "Welp, my dad die, time to fuck every one in this town with my 20 inches dick" make me wonder...There was some intense discussion that being forced to work there because of parents' debt is illegal but this plot point doesn't seem to be that implausible to me.

Yes, like it was said before, a lot of it is similar to starless but aside from settings and character initial personality the game is entire different, this game has build-up, actual character development, interesting MC and the sister aka "New Girl" make me actual care for her, while in starless is a huge fuckfest where my interest die after day 3 and the game become a huge bdms testing ground focusing only in 2 character, the Mistress of the house and the New Girl that I hated.

It does mean your (or at least my) first impression of the mc and his sister is that they're idiots, though, which is a bit of a pity. Not that you can't move beyond that as the story goes on, but it's not a great setup when the story requires the mc to be a few bricks short of a shithouse.
(And no, not trying to start a fight either.)
Yes at the beginning the MC and his sister make quite unrealistic choices and accept to do things that nobody would do. But then when you get more and more into the story it s so immersive and incredibly written.. Wow... So uhh, I tried the game. Discovered some things about myself, but for the most part I'm apparently not terribly into these asymmetrical relationship dynamics.
Actually, I recently had a similar experience with Pale Carnations, where the fetishes involved were... let's say, not exactly appealing to me, but good writing and presentation kept me in this perpetual state of morbid curiosity.
Something hit me really hard though, and I just have to know: Anja has this thing (and Rosalind in Pale Carnations does too) where it's somehow (and I'm not really sure how to phrase this) super intense? Intimate? Caring, maybe? Well, I want to know if this sort of thing has a name, like, can I look this sort of shit up somehow, somewhere?
Oh, and apparently classy, authoritative women are hot, just sayin'.

Updates are always in the works. Whether or not any if them get posted is another story.
October was the last time anything was released. If we're all lucky we may get an update at the end if this month. But I'm not betting that.

Hi everyone,
first of all: Happy New Year! I hope you all had a good start into 2021.
Second: I'm sorry that posts are sparse lately. Whenever development doesn't go as well as it should, short progress update posts are insufficient to explain what the challenge is exactly, so it always feels like I have the choice between spending a lot of time to write a wall of text, or writing down a few platitudes that make me sound like a broken record. Both kind of sucks, so the hidden third option 'Eh, I'll post tomorrow' is very tempting.
Anyway, working through the problems I've described

hasn't been all that smooth and I've scrapped more scenes than I thought I would. Maybe I can turn those scenes into a non-canon content patch in the future to avoid 'wasting' them? They would lead nowhere of course, unless I tweak them to turn into a game over. What do you think? Perhaps something like an 'unlockable' after the completion of the game?The 'new' scenes are coming along alright, although still not at peak productivity, so no release date yet. I'm not sure what it is that slows me down at the moment, even disregarding the 'scene scrapping'. Probably just the lack of positive development moments getting to me a bit. I guess momentum is a real thing, especially when working alone. None of this is to say I'm in a bad mood in general/sick of game dev/insert any other negative thing. That's not the case at all, I'm really looking forward to this year of making Estate. But with no other developers to average them out, my personal hiccups are occasionally pertinent, so they're probably worth mentioning.
Speaking of other developers: There's a new translation into Russian in the works, and Andrew (the translator) would appreciate feedback for his script. Please write me a message here or on Discord if you want to help out and I connect you.

Im late to the party and enjoyed the story so far, managed to find all three endings and looking forward to the next chapter.
