I don't believe the devs know how F2P games work. There needs to be a fun way to unlock scenes for free - aka an actual game. Grindy bullshit isn't fun. Gallery mode being free doesn't make it F2P. Gallery mode being free is just a demo. If people have to purchase Harem mode to even be able to unlock scenes, and then fucking seasons passes on top of that? I mentioned the same thing a few months ago when it became apparent they had lied to everyone and the project had radically shifted priorities and was in the process of being turned into a predatory skinner box, yet Echo82 and the rest of the paid shills were quick to "correct" me and call me out for being so suspicious of the devs.

There needs to be an engaging gameplay loop in f2p games to not only keep people coming back to the game, but to also entice them to spend money.

World of Tanks/War Thunder have fun multiplayer modes with a plethora of vehicles to choose from and upgrade, along with the enticing prospect of grinding for newer and more potent vehicles down the line. Devs make money by selling ways to grind faster, or exclusive vehicles that offer unique gimmicks.

Another example is Fate/Grand Order, which not only offers an interesting narrative with high-quality presentation, but also involved RPG mechanics that include party composition, leveling up characters etc. The draw comes from unlocking new chapters in the story and trying to get your waifu/husbando of choice.

The one unifying feature that both these games have is a fun gameplay loop. Fate Grand/Order would be nowhere as popular as it is if it were a pure visual novel.

And what does this "game" offer? Rewatching the same canned animations over and over again to get more currency so you can buy more animations you'll have to repeat ad nauseum to do the same thing all over again? How is that supposed to be fun? Where's the gameplay?

Do they honestly think people will stick around after he's finished fapping after some 10 to 20 minutes?

And there's also the issue of content. Warthunder can get away with their pace of updates because the gameplay is fun, but all this game has on offer is animations - pathetic customization of the characters, no ability to mix and match the costumes, almost zero interactivity during the scenes. To keep the playerbase engaged they would need to release new characters, monsters and most importantly animations at a very quick pace - yet we've seen in the past year that are either unable or unwilling to do so - barely any new contant has been added since February of this year.

And all of this is ignoring the fact that you have to buy the game, then buy yearly season passes on top of that, grind to unlock the content you've actually paid for (and we all know they'll be selling "unlock season pass content" DLC soon enough) - and all on the promise that the developers will be able to supply enough meaningful content to the game to justify what is defacto a subscription.

Meanwhile War Thunder or F/GO regularly release new content completely for free.

This turd is so predatory and the devs so greedy they'd make even the most shameless Chinese f2p developer blush.

And the really hilarious thing is that if they were to introduce gameplay, from what they've shown it would also be the same kind of grindy, RNG reliant garbage as the porn part - just that instead of sex animations they would be selling you lootboxes (or as MTG players know them, booster packs) to get card jpegs you can use in the RNG heavy gameplay to grind some more.

No, currency (likes/inspiration/stamina/sanity) wont be sold but DLC will. They haven't said what the DLC will be but I'd expect it to be different environments with new monsters. They made that commitment to us.




You seem to have forgotten that they are working towards making it so assets server side, which are streamed to the client and not stored on the users end. You wont be able to pirate a game that wont have the models on the users end. You'll need to emulate the server that will send the assets to your "pirated" client. This is another way to enforce DRM and also makes it easier to secure their assets that people keep ripping off and uploading to sites for $$.

They have said what the DLC will be. Game is free to play at launch, Harem passes are 19.99 a year. There will be four season passes a year at 14.99 each, containing a new girl and her poses. You get 30 of those poses on purchase, and have to unlock the rest.

And the in game currency is purchasable, you can buy it through patreon. Starting from phase 3 of this beta, when ever thsat is, patreon donations are converted to in game currency. They're using a sketchy loophole that just cause you can't buy directly in game then they can say the game is not monetized.

As for launch content it will be 4 girls, maybe 5 depending on when Galatea is approved. They've stated for sure the current 3 girls and the next one, I think Celia, Will be free at launch, but no more than that.

Google "what happens when you run out of vram?" and you'll see that you do NOT crash when you run out. The game was built expecting most of their player base to be on RTX 30XX because they they didn't anticipate what happened this year. They spent several months reigning in the system and they know they still have more work to do.


Did you really not think about it? It gets people to come back to collect more animations so others can study them and unlock it. The devs want a community where people will continue to login instead of everyone have access to all the animations, wank for 5 minutes, and then log back out. They need to have a reason to have an online system since it was in the agreement with the studio that donated the server infrastructure.


Simple. You make the girl and monster/dude climax together and get currency that way.

Harem mode looks like a ps2 game at the moment and most animations are out of sync due to server issues. I'm sure someone will if they get it working but it's not really in a good looking state at the moment. Even their discord screenshots channel looks like hell.

confirmed, I'm a WT player and all of that is true. People are often salty at how good certain vehicles are (not necessarely premium paid vehicles, a lot of OP vehicles are unlockable for free with a relatively OK grind time for them) and the maps aren't amazing, but it's a good game that works on any potato, has in depth damage models, has comprehensive community features (squads, squadrons, parties, you name it), user customization in the form of (albeit mostly pay-only) skins, decorative items and camouflages, etc
meanwhile what do you get in OL for PAYING up front for it the same amount as many quality titles?
you get some scenes...animations....which are basicaly the very bare bones of any other game that people expect to have right off the bat, not for them to be UNLOCKABLES.
and well, literaly nothing else
you then have to pay some prices that are more than double the worth of the actual game to either get more animations straight up or speed up getting them (mark my fucking words that's how it will be)
then you have to pay more for outfits if you want them, but I couldn't be arsed to get any to be honest

for the amazing price difference of 0 to around $100 if you play the game for something like 2 years, assuming you want more than 10 scenes you may not even like, you get to watch helius drive around in a lambo flipping us all off!
