In the upcoming update [soon™] we will only see Celia, Galatea is still in a galaxy far, far away, so as Colress advised, you can go play other games.
Given their track record I suspect the main thing we're going to see in the new update is [server currently unavailable, please try again later.]
I was a little surprised to see a PCGamer article pop up on my feed on this game, about being in development hell:

gameplay seems a bit limited - unless I'm missing something fundamental ?
I can (only):
> switch b/w the 3 girls
> change what their wearing/not
> colour changes
> few select scene with aliens

yes. they have barely implemented any functionality.
A bit more functionality has been implemented in harem mode, but it's stripped out of the 0.49 release on this site because it's all gatcha mechanics and other bullshit.
Sad, really, but there are a lot of nice animations. There are two locations (workshop and laboratory) by the way, don't miss one of them. Also, the scenes in the harem more 0.49 are different than those in the gallery 0.49

TBH I don't even care about Galatea at this point. I would be fine with them just updating the game, and adding more animations/outfits for Erika/Alex. Like they used to do monthly before stopping for one year.
Yeah, that's all. You can't call bunch of animated galleries, with no gameplay at all, the "game". That's why it is the scam.
And that's all their patrons got - after 9 (nine!!!) years of "development" - truly 9 years of scaming and lies.
But there are still dumbs like coolgy with meme of "soon dogging Galatea" and still defending Scamlius & Co.

Also, of course one of the few updates about the game is how there's now an in game store everyone should be excited for.

I think only thing that can redeem the devs is that after a year of working on update, that update becomes a porn equivalent of witcher 3 dlc, at least in my opinion.

Well, now the Galatea situation has been exposed to the world... I guess me and the homies most definitely won't be dogging her ever, at least in this timeline
But they say "there's no such thing as bad publicity", so watch those numbers bump up again.

And if this game succeeds, other developers might try making more porn-gacha games, filled with season passes for characters and "exclusive" sex positions.
Man I hope people pirate the hell out of this game.
I think a distinction needs to be made between publicity that highlights controversy ("Our product is making feminists butthurt" or "Our product is making right-wingers butthurt") which can lead to more sales, thought with the caveat that it is entirely dependant on the specific market and prevalence of whatever group you're courting - and publicity which highlights a negative aspect (the game is buggy, the game is pay-2-win, the game is in development hell etc.).
The article is firmly in the "game is a dumpster fire, avoid at all costs" category, so I don't imagine it's going to do Helius any favors, and if the true nature of Galatea becomes even more mainstream Steam might start feeling pressure to delist the game, which frankly would be hilarious.
So let me get this straight. People are paying thousands of dollars for a 3d porn viewer with ok graphics?
