About the "people fapping alongside me" thing. I could be wrong, but apparently, (from what i read in one of the dev diaries that was posted on this thread in page 178) the Harem Mode is gonna be a sandbox world, and the characters (Anya, Alet, etc) are gonna be NPC's that can be fucked whenever you want (and even be used as "cumdumps" and get inflated/impregnated), so it seems like, no other players are gonna appear on your game, and vice-versa. So the "online only" is simply a DRM, and also a way to use the servers, and put hardcore stuff, like loli/horse.

they also talk about "multiplayer" do you think they mean multiple characters with that? It actually could make sense

It could make sense, indeed. But we'll only know when it's released, because they talk in such a cryptic way, that it's kinda hard to understand exactly what Harem Mode is.

So this Harem mode they are making... It's gonna be multiplayer? I can't imagine myself going online with some random other people and have sex with our characters. Wtf? XD
I hope "group" options which are multiplayer now I guess will be available through cracked versions.
Edit: I wanna solo experience that stuff.

only if you design an emulation server that will tell your client, which is the game, to place another "player" there and it will simulate actions. Unless that is developed, then it's not going to happen.

They mentioned that there'll be 8 players in the same room, so no it is definitely more than drm. And I believe not only group sex scenes are locked behind mp, it seems that all info on new monsters are posted in dev diaries about the harem mode, suggesting that they will also be highly likely multiplayer exclusive. Contrary to ppl's reaction here, their patrons showed remarkable tolerance and acceptance towards this direction, so i guess it's a set decision.

EDIT: Just noticed that they got help from Yostar in localization (and maybe mocap as well?) and there's a DLsite logo in the loading screen now, guess that's where the whole multiplayer idea comes from. Which makes sense: if the game is cracked day 0 and freely available to everyone on the high sea, the investment of a brand new mocap studio into a porn game can hardly be justified as a rational decision since the conventional marketing - profiting model won't fit an adult only title.

The mocap work is done in exchange for the multiplayer server being hosted by the company that will do the mocap work. That was a deal made by the partner company due to the US based mocap team not being able to do the work due to covid-19. ProjectH has publicly stated that this was a deal offered to them. This is the first main reason why multiplayer was introduced and it's DRM is a bonus side effect. Yes, they have said there will be new models locked behind Harem; such as Galatea and the horse.

I was a patron a long time ago so I wouldn't mind buying the full version of the game (which is not likely to happen anytime soon...) but the idea of having to play with other people to experience the group parts of it is just fucked up to me. Will it work like a queue like in most games where you queue up for a game of 4 people? XD
