Not as quickly as I would like. Rendering hardware issues. Hopefully that will all be resolved in about a week, however, and I'll be able to get back to banging out images. In the meantime, I've been spending the time "writing ahead" on both FF&S as well on new items for STDH.

When he heard I was having hardware issues, MrKnobb (developer of Alternate Existence and Retrieving The Past) contacted me on Discord and volunteered to render images for me to keep FF&S moving along. It was an amazingly generous offer.

Unfortunately, I couldn't take him up on it, since with my main system down I can't even build the scene files. I can't check the lighting without being able to use iRay, and many of you know that iRay is almost unusable on a system without a GPU.

Still, I wanted to publicly thank him for his generous offer. If you haven't checked out his games, you might give them a try, and, if you like them, please strongly consider supporting him on Patreon. (You might even find a small Easter egg in one of them... )

You gave a "like" to Ass fan's post where he quoted my post about the hardware problems that I've been facing and Mr. Knobb's gracious offer to help, futile though it was. So, presumably, you actually read the post or two that preceded those, where I said I was having hardware issues. And, yet, you're somehow expecting that the next release is going to arrive "on whatever you think its 'schedule' is?" Dude, tell me what you're taking so that I can get some too!

So, let me be perfectly blunt for all of you that claim the love the game, but can't actually spend $1 to support me. Here's what my supporters already know:

I've been trying to keep to a reasonable schedule for FF&S (and the new Scenes That Didn't Happen), but I'd like to warn you in advance that the next FF&S update is going to take longer than I anticipated.

The machine I've been using to render for the past four years started to get very sick about two months ago. (Regular BSOD's. Yuck!) I BARELY managed to limp along with it long enough to get the first STDH release out, but it's now very much belly up. (Thankfully, it's not a disk drive issue, so I didn't lose any files. And I had backups regardless. Do you regularly back up your PC? But I digress...)

Anyway, thanks in no small part to your generous donations, in mid-September, I was able to afford to order a replacement when it became apparent that I couldn't rely on machine #1 any more. It arrived in mid-October, but (sigh) it has a hardware defect. Crashes multiple times per day. It's taken me weeks of back and forth and multiple service calls, but it's still not fixed. The vendor has finally agreed to replace it with a new unit, so I'm waiting for the replacement to arrive. MAYBE in about two weeks. We'll see.

But, in the meantime, I will have lost 4-6 weeks worth of valuable rendering time on FF&S, which is obviously going to push the next release out somewhat. And, for that, I wanted to apologize in advance.

I'll keep you up to date as I know more...

Have you considered the possibility that Rich has been enduring over four years of sometimes-completely-inane comments here, and, occasionally, gets tired of them?

I would also wager that Rich is probably feeling very guilty, on behalf of the people who are actually supporting him, over the fact that he hasn't been able to make progress on the game for well over a month, and so gets annoyed when a non-supporter says "the time for the update is approaching" when, in fact, he should have known better if he'd actually read the forum posts here.

Folks, we have the luxury of a dev who actually engages with us here. How about we cut him a break?

It's Rich's game and he is free to do what he wants, but it's not like the tease wasn't put out there in the beginning. I admit that I was disappointed when I realized months ago that it probably won't happen. I didn't get pissed but I did stop supporting the game. Nothing against Rich. It's just that he chose a path for his game I was no longer interested in. I continue to come back on the hope that we are both wrong, and there will be more hot scenes with her beyond her and her boyfriend.

LOL! Chill out a bit. You seem to be taking things jeeeest a bit too literal. It's a passing comment, not a demand, not a sworn oath, not even a minor threat.

You seem to have a bad case of discussion board rage going there. Kinda like road rage but you have a keyboard in your hands instead of a steering wheel. My advice is to step away from the porn for a bit and engage in some real life stuff for a while.

It's Rich's game and he is free to do what he wants, but it's not like the tease wasn't put out there in the beginning. That's exactly why I withdrew from the game and announced it here.

But if the developer changes his mind I wouldn't hesitate to get back into the game, after all it's nothing personal.
