I had the same issue. I believe the Pickaxe quest is not supposed to trigger until you complete the Truth Ore Dare quest. I had to cheat using save editor to get the Silver and Gold Pickaxe recipes. You can buy the necessary gold bars from Derek. Once I made the pickaxe I just equipped it and talked to Derek quest complete. Once that was out of the way he will talk to you again and give you your gold for selling ore and he will take you 10 ore for the quest when you hold it and talk with him.

Yea i ended up doing something similar, works now though finally.

Ya I'm afraid the only way to get stealthy is to learn from Marcus. Not to worry though You can improve your Honor Points by donating food to the Elder. Also later in the game you will need stealth as you have seen so you just have to suck it up.

Well the prob is that the event no longer spawns for me to peak since passing first and finishing the intro. There hasn't been alot of CP earning things of late so it could take months before that came to pass.

So I just cheatcoded to add some CP and spoke to marcus and he just taught it to me. Now I'll proceed to regain my honor points.

Nonetheless - this is something that i think could use some rework by the devs to allow a different ave to learn this trait later (if you don't peak) or via the honor route if this is so necessary to the game in many other ways; perhaps taught via hunting with the bow training.

But why do they start a new quest that is again incomplete in this version?
I've already had enough of them in the list that I'd like to finish first ...

The new quests have always been like placeholders for upcoming content. The Heather Needs Money quest for example was incomplete for several updates. When I last played R18 it was still incomplete and now it is finally playable and very worth the wait in R21.

*spoiler alert* does the R21 end after the new village and gift day? Because the villagers still have the same dialogue like after we fought goblin.. vincent still talk about recovery etc.. seems kinda weird for me..

Question about Crystals for the Heal the Fairy quest : Tried searching but there's no definate answer, i'm finding fire crystals but those are for standing torches. I can't go down another level as the game tells me it's not available in this R21 version. There's obviously another type of crystal i need, are they in a different mine than Dereks ?

I have the same problem - have found one blue crystal so far but that is all.....seven successive visits to the mine, searching everywhere and nothing found. What I HAVE found is a chest with a chain around it - is that significant and if so how do we get into it ?
i have wondered whether the fire crystals would have done the job of healing the fairy, since the text says "hold at least three of any crystals whilst near the fairy" but I wasted all mine making torches !

Iron Ingot and Fire Crystal...I thought they were for use in the mine but it seems they only can be used on your own farm. Haven't found a use for the grass and stepping stone paths either !

You need the Blue Crystals to heal the fairy. They appear based on RNG. Crystals spawned more frequently for me once the Golden Pickaxe quest was complete. If you go into the mine clear the second level and then go up and back down. The nodes will respawn. Keep doing that until the crystals show up.

The Standing torch recipe you get from Derek after he becomes your Master. Redd will give both the Stone path and Grass Path recipes once he is your Master. Derek as Master is available once the Truth Ore Dare quest is complete. Redd as Master becomes available once the Blue Flower quest is complete and he is cured.

If I recall in R18 you needed to craft two of the torches to be able to go down to the third level of the mine. It seems that was taken out after R18 and the torches are to spiff up your farm only now. Stepping Stone and Grass Paths are used the same to spiff up your farm.

uhm, cant even remember the beginning here, yet if the well is what are you looking for, then go east as far as you can (village, farms/outskirts) and you shall find it, just before the forest you cant enter anyway (unless in particular quest/s).

Go to Sam house (bottom right of village) . He will help you by carrying second bucket - then loses his lucky charm near the well
