This quest has been reworked so now Darius fixes ur house right at the start. Do not go by the walkthrough in OP it's outdated. Someone else had posted a new walkthrough little while ago refer to that.

After Mia starts taking care of ur father see him after 11pm. He will give u the key to his chest. Take mother's necklace and gift it to Mia. After that walk in to father's room after 7pm.
