9/10 times this is caused by either a directory on your machine missing or a permissions error.

some times since your on windows the dir path to your game folder maybe to long for the file system to read.

for the former check to make sure everything is there, for the latter move the whole install up some dirs or shorten the main folders name.

Ep1 is finished, Ep2 is at v13 and there is nowhere a sign that something is finished. I really have no idea what you're talking about. I am afraid you just don't get it. There are no "gaps" in Ep1. He is not a troller, just a person that doesnt understand how to rate games. I read his review on Fashion Business and this quote from it summarizes his flawed logic:

"it doesnt matter the quality of renders or animation, or how skilled the dev made the ui or some nice effects or the amount of work he did, the huge amount of pictures, that part is amazing and for that he deserved 5 stars. but for me, the "enjoyment" is what counts. if no enjoyment I can't give much points, and if the enjoyments turns into feeling bad, Im forced to say this game is "terrible". if the dev had that in mind, to create a depraved game, and wanted the player to feel bad, well, he succeeded."

So you see, he admits the game deserves a 5 star and that the developer succeeded in his goal of making a depraved game. But because the game theme doesnt satisfy his fetishes, or rather offended his sensibilities, then its a one star game. He needs to learn that something could be good but its not just for him, that doesn't make it bad. For the target audience this game was made for its a 5 star game. I think he would agree to that, or by his own words, he already did.

as usual, I'm not 100% sure, so I can't tell you "do this and it works"
but I did not restart and could trigger all.

Did you talk to Molly? Have you messed up her picture?
And I guess the most important -> Did you steal her tips? (more than once, iirc 3 times)

I agree Firebless. but I rate only thinking about myself, my own enjoyment. others need to rate for themselves, and we could have a discussion why so many are 5-rating all the time. thats for me is corrupting the ratings. a game can not be perfection that easily. some 5-stars people write like: I like the renders, good start. so my low rates are because of them as well. to counter that.
sometimes I explain in the review that I dont rate because of good renders, or amount of work, but my own enjoyment.

so, I didnt enjoy Fashion Business, but that doesnt mean that is not good for you. Im not holding the truth, just my own opinion. if you cant deal with it, you got a problem. place your own review if you like the game so much.

I have to agree about the corruption part. Games i didn’t gave 5 or at least 4 stars ppl suddenly appeared to make 5 star ratings to upvote the game more even they wouldn’t have done it if I would have gave the game 5 stars myself. Pathetic.

there are many really good games out there. This here is good too. But does that mean 5 stars are immediately justified? I think I personally never gave a game 5 stars as far as I can remember.

but giving so many games just 1 star is ridiculous too. why so low? I also nearly never give games 1 star. Why did you decide to vote so provocative drastically?
The only plausible case for me is that you wanted to be a strong opponent and the better the rating the lower your rating is to change the corrupted rating by corrupt it yourself? oO

edit: ah ok you really try to be a voice vs all the quick 5 star ratings. hm.. I personally would still vote how I personally feel about the game without giving a fck about other ratings.
For me personally Fashion Business is a very sold 3.5/5 sadly you can give only full stars. But ppl forget that 3 stars isn’t bad at all. 3 stars honours the game and sees potential but also tries to be grounded and personal critical.
One of my latest reviews was a 3 star and someone complained about my personal rating and made a 5 star rating even 3 stars - again - aren’t bad at all wtf xD (btw most other ratings were 5 star also of this game so I really don’t know why he had to do this also complaining about my criticism in his rating LOL)


that’s why I liked your comment. Not cause I think what you do is right in general but i totally understand it even it’s kinda harsh against the dev himself but reactionwise understandable if you think of the “fan girl” ratings.

it’s your choice ofc. And what I read on your reviews made often surpassingly sense. and yes it’s very personal. Reviews are personal ratings. Even guys who rate a game with 5 stars made this rating from a personal point of view/taste. seems some forget this.

sure, its flawed, but why should I make a "good" review, when most people aren't?
a fair rating would be:
- 5 cg/animation (top score, I can't ask for more)
- 2 characters
- 3 story
- 2 gameplay
that would give a 3 star rating. but who cares when the 5-stars people are messing with it?
if you check the rating, most good reviewers are around 3 stars. maybe thats the "correct" rate?

tbh I would like to have a more detailed review with more specific stars myself. And yes I would also rate FB like you would do.
5 stars for the cg/renders
2 (maybe even 1) for the chars
4 for the story
2 for the gameplay
5 for the animations

and yes we are already too offtopic. You made your point in a respectful and plausible way. I tried the same.
