Yes, but was asking if the Newer one was shared. A simple yes or no would've sufficed instead of being a dick.
i like being a biggus dickus, because there are always people like you who are simply too lazy to read through the thread like (nearly) everyone else does. since you are a new member you should read through everything, because some people share links that aren´t mentioned anywhere. just saying.

So 2.18 was shared here? Cause I've read every page here the moment I made this account. And it was recently sent a screenshot of said update, I wasn't specifically asking if it was shared here, only if it was shared at all anywhere. And there was no mention that I saw of 2.18 thus far except for the screenshot that was posted unless I'm blind as a bat. And if I did miss this then I'll admit I was wrong. Not lazy, might have missed Something, but I have read all 22 pages.. sorry for calling you a dick though.

and with this answer you made everything very right. you found out that it hasn´t been posted here, only mentioned. eventually your curiosity grew even bigger and you searched for it on other sources. you made the absolut correct choice. that´s why i don´t even start blaming you for calling me a dick. ;D

I kinda agree with Dampfkochtopf's mentality though. If no one has talked about or posted a new update, there's a good chance that it either hasn't happened yet or people don't know it's happened yet. If you're dying to find out which one it is, be proactive about it. Don't shift the responsibility onto others.

Personally, I've never really understood this mindset too much ultimately. Sure, the person could easily search through the thread to find out they're answer more often than not, but there really isn't any harm in asking, and perhaps coming back later to get the answer to their question if they prefer. Its kind of similar to the whole debate behind someone who would go to a forum to ask a question, rather than try and google the answer, the only difference here being the latter is usually a far more straight up and surefire way to get your answer, as opposed to times on forums requiring you sifting through a few pages, though the search function *generally* manages to alleviate that problem. Either way, not that it really matters much on here from what I've seen, but I'd say generally the best answer is either to simply ignore them if you don't know, or answer it if you and feel like it, both ultimately just kind of detract from the real point of a thread discussing a game in the first place, and yes, I realize the irony in me posting something that has VERY little to contribute to the thread of this game right now. Really, I'm just kind of surprised to see it pop up in my search as updated after so long since having seen it last.

Ultimately though, point being, both kind of detract from the purpose of a forum/thread dedicated to a game to begin with, and one solution tends to solve the problem pretty quickly and efficiently, while the other tends to just drag out something that generally adds very little to the thread to begin with. The idea behind it might be sound, but the execution is rarely something I see being done for the right reasons, or with any real benefit to the topic at hand.

There are two files in the patch .zip (ver216_v.zip and ver216_v_ver142_d.zip), and I haven't been able to find a clear indicator of which edition is the proper one.
Ver216 is normal, ver216_v_142 is debug.

May be wrong though, but didn't have The debug mode till I used the 142 with the 216.

I mean, I did sift through all the pages since I joined. But, idk. Guess I prefer the engagement to make sure I didn't miss anything. I agree both sides dont really help the thread. Also maybe I should've been a little more specific about asking if the update was posted anywhere here or other sites (did search, but in the past someone pointed out sites that didn't show up in my searches, so never hurts to ask)

But I'll keep it in mind and just wait for the update to be shared instead of asking like a dummy. Lol.

It clutters the thread. For example, every 2 or 3 pages in the EraTohoK thread is someone either warning about the Exe being flagged as a virus or asking whether it's a false positive. And people, time and again, have to explain it. Another user estimates that 25% of the thread is people asking/getting answers about that particular thing. Or asking for game saves for things in development. If everyone would use the search bar, it would be extremely easy to find. But because people keep asking for it, you often have pages of search result from just the people asking for a save. I feel like it's worth having these discussions because sometimes people do actually listen.
Edit: Sometimes common sense isn't really obvious and has to be taught.

Probably my first post. I agree with Dampfkochtopf's spirit and Ferghus' words.

I could spam threads asking for the latest versions, complaining that my freely compiled and updated porn isn't ready yet or is poorly crafted. Why, after all does porn exist if not to give -specifically me- instant gratification? Sadly though, against all of the research I've done on this site, I am not the protagonist and shouldn't expect my whims catered to.

I could also post occasionally to give thanks or words of encouragement for folks that have spent their time forging code and writing scripts. Those intrepid individuals who find and cataloging their porn pics to dole out to us as achievements and character arcs, or those who craft their own pieces of paradise, then gently hand these children to be used, abused, and then tossed away by us anons who haven't given back to our sweaty and sometimes uncomfortably moist communities. I don't though because despite my years of research here, I haven't assimilated that being appreciative to others is one of the easiest paths to getting what I want. Maybe someday I'll become a protagonist yet.

Until then I'm just over here silently fappin' ya'll.
