What makes Rachel a go to character for the MC?
Her plot integration and continued interest in MC to hang out and shelter?
Her past rather interesting sports career?
Her engaging way of spending the time with MC?
Her predisposition to ba there for MC no matter what?

My new way to play this game is to read the comments section, see what everyone says and how the dev responds, and it seems that based on the dev's responses that this story has already been completed (at least in writing) and that nothing within the dev's vision is going to change, I applaud the dev for sticking to his guns as very few seem to do this lately.
I will hope that the future of this game at least gives the player some chances to 100% reject and avoid the 'family' to the point of ignoring all interactions with them or (and bear with me here) after so long being tormented by his 'so-called caring family' he could finally snap and decide to wage a war for control of the 'mothers' company only to force them both out and into the situation they left him in for so long as recompense for how they 'left him out in the cold'
Or as an alternative he could write a letter to both his familial connections explaining how their actions drove him to his ultimate decision to re-enter cryo with the express instruction never to be awoken again, going so far as to implement a fail-safe that if anyone tampers with it to wake him it would instantly kill him.
These are my views on what in my humble opinion would make this story just a little more interesting/bearable.
Take it as you will and good luck with whatever you decide to do with this game.

Well yea, but mostly cos shes in the limelight and has bigger weightage of the scenes for now.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the sister/childhood friend and mom(not sure if dev intends for the mom to be an LI though). The sis at least i feel has potential for a deeper story and much more fulfilling relationship.
For the mother I say yes.
For the sister with deep story I say yes.
But unlike some games where you can romanticize everyone right away, these characters will come later.
i agree with most of what you posted. though going back into cryo would effectively end the game and yet with the way they have treated him it would be understandable . personally i've about had all i take of this game , the mere fact that it is in chapter 3 and hasn't answered any of the numerous questions bothers me (and many others from what i've read and received ). it would be understandable if this happened to an established dev with a successful game under their belt and had a troop of followers already . but back to your topic i agree anyone in the position of the MC would be feed up to the point of cutting ties with the so-called caring family ( at the very least be done with the sister figure to the point of ignoring when present to zero contact ) but in truth both are deceiving him and warrant being ignored . and the whole sandbox feature is rather pointless given that none of it optional and requires completion to progress the story so why a straight VN . we all know how most SB's go ,the dev ends up spending more time on the sandbox feature than the story . very few of them go far and those that do normally do so due to an abundance of lewd scenes . while i dont mind those scenes im prefer a good story. sit back press auto,sip my coffee and just read and relax ,but thats just me .

The sister – YES (I remember the dev mentioning it). Not sure about the mother.
How do you extract the uncensored patch ? I got a .rpyc file that's not recognized as an archive and can't find how to run it as a script with renpy ?

With RenPy games, you typically put those files in the 'game' folder unless the Installation instructions say otherwise.
In this case, just put that file in the 'game' folder and restart the game (Windows/Linux/Mac). Have fun! :>)
