This is outdated :p

Easy mode - you take less damage, enemies have less life, and you can control sex animations
Normal mode - normal damage/life

In both modes you respawn at the save pad now, though.
Ooh right okay :) Played some of the V0.27F but wasn't sure (mostly just played normal, more fun)

Also cool :) Will you be adding a Hard difficulty at any point, maybe after main release? Would be fun to see what kind of challenges could be added to that :p (Perhaps group 'stun/defeat' animations, or a short term "exhaustion" movement speed penalty if you get 'stunned' or 'defeated' too many times)

You need to jump off the ledge while firing at the switch, and then hold right, so that by the time the shot hits the switch, you're underneath the platform, so gravity switching will put you on the underside of the platform :)

There'll be two types of "hard modes";

1) The "negative" powerups, coming in a later update, will make your game significantly tougher and completely change the way you interact with the game per powerup (there's 5 in total), and will eventually lead into free DLC that changes the storyline significantly also

2) If we hit our backer goal for it, we'll do "nude Talia" mode, again resulting in totally different cutscenes, gameplay, etc. which will be significantly harder than normal

Little problem when playing on os x with wine. There's a bug that happens sometimes that I don't know the cause of. It sometimes happens during cutscenes and sometimes when I open my menu. It turns the entire screen into a gradient of green/yellow/red until the cutscene ends, or until I exit the menu. The map also stays this way permanently. The only way to fix this that I've found until now is re-opening the game. The glitch happened regardless of whether dynamic lighting was on or off, and it happened when vsync was at alternate or disabled (I haven't spent time playing with normal yet, so it probably happens even then). I'm not sure if it's an os x only thing.

If it helps, there's a power-up you can get in one or two of the paths that slows down your shots (but makes them more powerful) that makes that particular (if it's the same one I'm thinking) puzzle MUCH easier :)

Did you listen to the tutorial that Vie gave you the first time you encountered the enemy in those rooms? :p

You'll need to crush the security bot with the gravity pillars to open the door; hitting it with your shots won't harm it, but it will turn its magnets on or off, so you'll need to turn its magnets off to allow it to be affected by gravity when you reverse gravity.

We haven't had any reports of that outside of WINE, so it's likely an issue with that; try going into the menu (press ESC) and disabling shaders in the graphics, that might fix it. If you can get a screenshot of it that'd be good, too, but sorry it's giving you those issues!

The shaders option is grayed out for some reason. Here are some images of the bug.

Yeah, as this game was designed primarily for Windows, there's gonna be some incompatibilities with some functions that WINE can't emulate, but I can promise that for the full game we'll get stuff fixed to work entirely on OSx :D

We'll look into that for now though!

Been a pretty big fan of the progress of this game for a while, will try to support on Patreon when I can.

The new build though, wow. That felt very optimized, and I can't say I have a lot of complaints. Seeing the new interactions got me very giddy - and after finishing it once the other day, I gave it another run today and I managed to find even more hidden interactions that I didn't find the last time? The fact there's a lot of enjoyable platforming concepts, and items in a -porn game- is pretty darn good, haha. The music is so catchy too! I loved the public fire build you had too but man that was pretty depressing. (Which is good - zones should feel different.)

Voice acting, new interactions + new sex scenes are pretty solid. Hope everything else turns out as well as this.

Good stuff, HWriter! Keep it up.

In case anyone got the earlier version, we've uploaded a slightly different version, which fixes;
- A rare softlock possibility in P4M1
- One of the powerups not working properly (the Soap bar)
- A few map alterations for better flow/fixing some issues
- Two or three cutscenes fixed that didn't work properly (in P4M2 and P4M3)

So not a huge change or anything, just quality of life stuff is all.
The link seems to be dead. Any chance of getting an updated one? ^^

Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much :D I'm actually working on a document in my off time that goes over every possible interaction/variation in the demo, so you can get an idea of the full breadth of variations!

I'm also glad you feel it's an actual quality game too, we really are striving for that, and we've got much more to come too in terms of global gameplay mechanics and content :D

Is there any way to speed up or disable the voice overs for the databanks? I would read them all, but I read faster than the voice over speaks.

I think that you guys are putting a lot of effort into the game. Especially the narrative. But I have to say that at some point it did become too much reading/listening for my tastes. I felt it distracted from the actual game and disrupted the overall flow of it all. Have you thought about a way to save the databank contents to read them later? That would be my preferred way of handling it. Collect them all while playing the level, and read them when I'm done.

You can press X to go to the next chunk of text whenever you'd like, and you can also disable voices in the options menu by pressing ESC :)

Yep, in later builds of the game, we'll have an option in your ESC menu for re-reading/watching any cutscenes, databanks, game over sequences, etc. you may have encountered previously, as well as Talia's reaction to said databanks that you'd gotten too (since her reactions change based on the order of databanks you read and what ones you do, as well as some cutscenes changing as a result of what databanks you do/don't read).

We basically designed the game in a way that if you want to stay on the surface level of the plot, you can, and all you need to do is to get the 3 gold databanks and 2 fragments per level for the true ending/final boss fight, or even if you want to skip those, there's only 5-6 required cutscenes per level to beat it.

But if you want to delve really far into the plot, then there's of course more cutscenes, databanks, things like that that flesh out the world; I'll definitely say though that coming in on the 3rd level, in the middle of the game, a lot of the context and buildup is lost, and there's nothing we can really do to fix that except just suggest checking out the full game when it's done, of course. :p

Yeah, I'd say if you check out this video you can see the fairly wide range of positions and content we've covered in the game so far :p

Sex isn't the focus of the game though, it's just a part of the game, so despite there being 45 straight minutes of content in that video above, we'd ideally like sex to be around 10-15% of the full game's content, just to give you an idea of how much content we plan to have regarding actual gameplay and other non-sex content.

We don't have those tags because those things aren't in the game (there's no monsters, she says she enjoys the sex in the game over CGs (she's annoyed by the sex because it eats up her time at worst but she never outright dislikes or hates it), there's no insects, and so on).

But to answer your other question, yeah Vie will be getting scenes later on.
